Such a wonderful experience! I'd never been in this store before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Went in to look at men's boots and ended up with a pair of my own. Wonda was exceptional! She helped me figure out my "true shoe size" and gave me multiple options. She was extremely patient and understanding. First time in a shoe store I've truly had someone take the time to help me find the perfect fitting shoe. Will definitely be getting future shoes here. I loved how the shoes was displayed all sections are for one size ( one panel size 9 them next all next size up). So none of that searching for your size to find out it isn't there.

We happened by this store on our walk around the city. We were more than pleasantly surprised. The store is smaller but packed with great items in every nook and cranny. They have a huge selection of shoes especially for woman. The staff is so nice and friendly that even though I didn't need anything for myself I left with an awesome pair of sandals. We are going back tomorrow.

Had a great sale before Thanksgiving. 20% off everything. My friend has a field day. I bought a couple of hiking shirts. I was quite happy. I highly recommend this place with for good deals. They have a she shed out front with even better deals. White assortment of sizes and clothing and styles

Very interesting place to shop. Lot's of camping and backpacking treasures for the outdoorsy folks.Very pricey for us, but if you're out and away from home and need something quick before heading back to the trails you'll most likely find it here.Staff are really nice and very helpful and knowledgeable.

Stopped in here a few days before Christmas and was really just browsing with my daughter. My shopping was done for the season, but an exceptional sales associate changed that. Customer service or simply being helpful is something rare these days, but the young lady that helped us proved to be quite the opposite. She was polite, helpful and seemed to really want to help us make a good choice in selecting a pair of shoes. Most sales associates these days avoid eye contact and focus more on their phones or each other than they do their customers. I was impressed with someone so young being so focused and efficient. We went in just browsing and came out with my daughter's first pair of Birks...We were handed a coupon as we left and it had the name Kayla on it. We are not sure if that was her name or just from a stack of prepared coupons that someone else had signed. We are headed back there tomorrow as my daughter wants to make good use of that $10 off our next purchase...

I shopped here for hiking shoes a few months ago. It was hands down the best shoe shopping experience of my life. The sales people are knowledgeable, helpful, experienced, they listen to your needs and comments and find the best shoes for your feet. They have quality products. Their customer service is excellent. Because of my first experience, I brought a family member to try on nursing style shoes. The experience for her was every bit as good as it was for me. The staff was helpful without hovering. She walked around in the store making sure they were comfortable. We bought two pair and were given a twenty percent discount along with a ten dollar coupon toward a future purchase. I love this store and the staff. I highly recommend Wilderness Adventure. You can't go wrong there!!!

You used to be able to go look at tents, sleeping bags, and everything. Knowledgeable staff was there to help you find the right shoes, gear, etc. Now teenage girls hawk over you and don’t even know what silicone spray for tents is… Upon asking, I was not walked back over to the section by an employee who might know where it is, I was simply told ,”If it’s not over there, I guess we don’t have it.” and they went back to whatever game it was they were playing with each other. I was in the store no longer than 5 minutes, after already being asked up front if I needed any help, when I heard whispering and, “Yeah I’m going to go check on her.” The older couple that was also in the store was not walked up to in the same fashion. Since I’m apparently worth watching I will be taking my money to Rockfish Gap Outfitters from now on. Just because a person is below 50 doesn’t mean they’re poor. I understand you had a recent problem with theft, but if you treat everyone as if they are a thief you will have no customers left.

Fantastic customer service!!! Rhonda and another wonderful staff member spent a lot of time with me. They patiently helped me find a pair of Oboz hiking shoes that fit correctly, and are incredibly supportive! The shoes have made a huge difference in my life. It is because of the great customer service, and the large selection that I purchased shoes at Wilderness Adventures. I'm so glad that I stopped in to look around. You can't get caring service like that from a computer! Thank you so much! Looking forward to my next adventure.

I really liked this store. It's very locally owned and operated. The selection was a little scarce but they said they were expecting more shipments in the next week. The sales staff was very helpful and willing to help without being pushy. I would go back.

We'll shop there again!Note: Google Maps was not particularly helpful in finding this place, which is under the railroad on a small, tucked-away lot where the still-standing former railway trestles serve as parking spot dividers.

This is a very nice outdoors store with a huge selection of high quality gear. It seems to cater to women's clothing and shoes than it does men, but still very nice.
