I put a 1 star so I could leave my review but it's really 0 stars. This Walgreens pharmacy in Staunton is the worst, they are super slow, they leave you waiting for more than 45 minutes to tell you to come another day when they previously told you to wait. The woman who works there is disrespectful and she became hostile when I asked why they left me waiting 45 minutes and then said it would be another day. I tell Walgreens managers to choose their employees well, they have a hostile treatment towards customers. I am going to change all my Walgreens prescriptions and I will never spend my money or time in a Walgreens pharmacy!

I have to give at minimum 1 star in order for the post tab to turn blue. My experience at this pharmacy after being a long time dedicated customer is the worst. In fact, it keeps getting worse! My concern is when I look at transferring my scripts to other local pharmacies their reviews reflect what I am already experiencing at Walgreens. What has happened that Walgreens Pharmacy can repeatedly treat their customers so badly and there seems to be no recourse?

This is a NEGATIVE 5 star review. I have visited this location FOUR times to pick up the same prescription over a two week period and each time, they tell me it is not ready but will be ready "tomorrow". This last time, the pharmacist called me to tell me it was finally ready. Well, now the pharmacy is "temporarily closed" possible indefinitely. How do I get my prescription now?!? I am done with Walgreens completely. Never again!

Like everyone alive, I am having trouble with FedEx. In desperation, I called this Walgreens to ask questions about FedEx pickup, and Nichole, who answered the phone, actually went online and gave me what info she could from the FedEx website! (The package I'm expecting is a new phone--this one won't go online properly) I was so impressed by the level of empathy she displayed, and the customer service she epitomizes. Thank you!

This pharmacy is quite possibly the most incompetent pharmacy I've ever dealt with. They are rude, don't answer their phone and cannot manage the their inventory. It's easier for me to drive to get a question answered and you still have to wait up to 45 minutes in line. I don't understand why they're so completely unhinged and that the other Walgreens in Stuart's Draft has no trouble at all being able to answer the phone, keep their word, and manage their inventory. The Staunton branch should be shut down completely. It wouldn't be missed. Awful.

So sorry I cannot rate a zero! This is the most incompetent pharmacy I have EVER used in my life. You should either revamp this store or close the doors!!!!

My question is this..well I have 2. Does anything ever happen when a place has so many horrible reviews that one has to wonder how it is even in business? Can't something be done? I'm standing here in line listening to everyone around me tell their Walgreens War stories. There is such despair, anger, but worse there seems to be nope hope at all. Do they realize their are other pharmacies around? Cause this is my last trip to this one. Or probably any Walgreens.Oh my second question is this- Why doesn't Walgreens know about this and if they do then why don't they come down here and yank their name off this miserable excuse for a pharmacy. Cause if I owned Walgreens there is NO WAY I would want my name associated with this one and definitely not the one in Verona. I has to come to the Staunton store as the Verona one seems to make their own hours, which isn't much . I haven't wanted to drive the 30 minutes to Costco but I have no choice.Insanity at its best.

I love shopping here because they have a wide variety of things and I can check out without a long wait. Their prices are good. I am able to buy toilet paper for $5 a pack vs $12-$15 everywhere else.

Pharamacy - horrible. Can never get through to them. They no longer call you when a prescription is ready. In addition, the pharmacy is closed saturdays and sundays--what is that about??? What if you need something on a weekend. Walgreens is on my prescription part D plan and the pharmacy I am to use.!!! I see other reviews on here that complain also. Besides that, when you do go there, they are rude.

I dropped off 2 prescriptions at the drive thru a week ago. The lady said she would take care of it. I wentthere today and they have no record of my prescriptions in their system. How do you lose those prescriptions? It has been one thing after another at this location. Rite Aidwas much better to deal with. I wish I could rate them them a minus 5

This pharmacy does not answer its phone. My elderly mother has been trying to reach them for days. I have now been on hold for almost 3 hours. They are no longer open on weekends, and they consistently fail to have prescriptions ready when they say they will, so we had to drive from Staunton to Harrisonburg to get my mother’s breathing medications this past weekend. She has a list of medications that she needs to have filled and ask the pharmacist about, but it’s impossible to get them on the phone! It’s a shame that Staunton has been failed by Walgreen’s and the pharmacy industry (the Kroger Pharmacy is also in a shambles). The phone message has now said that I have one caller ahead of me for over an hour.

Can’t keep staff… staff that’s there, are extremely rude. Wait times on phone calls are often 20min or longer, before anyone picks up the phone.. Ordered meds aren’t being allocated to the patient without calling numerous times and following through. Pharmacy randomly closes due to staffing issues and will sometimes be open but with no pharmacist in the building. on many occasions, it’s taken more than 72hrs to fill scripts for simple things like Zofran.. and we’re only filled AFTER I called numerous times, and requested it to be filled. They are a liability to our community.

Worse Wal Greens out there. My wife and I was out of town and had to get some medicine filled. I called and the pharmacist said it will be ready in an hour. We waited over an hour get there and the guy at the window took a long time trying to find it. The pharmist pulled it up fast when I called. He said it will be ready in 20 minutes. We were mad by this point. We talked to the pharmacist and she said it got held up. I mean could she told me that on the phone.I would been happy with a phone call. I Went in to speak to the manager and she act like she did not care. I ask why they could not call when there was delay her response was they can't call everyone. Don't tell someone it will be ready in hour and when it is not make up excuses when a simple phone call would do

Very friendly staff! Definitely going to be an adjustment but it will get better I’m sure. Same great employees as before! We will all have to get used to it together as a community. It’s a new new training for the employees so there are a few delays, I’m sure it will get better

I absolutely love this pharmacy! Went in this morning to pick up my rx print outs for my taxes. Easy and the pharmacist was super friendly! Even a smile! There's a manager pharmacy I believe his name is Christopher , always nice and professional. After being with another pharmacy on Churchville Ave I am so happy to have found you guys!!

I called in a prescription on a Monday. I went to pick it up on Thursday. I was told that it was not ready. I questioned the "why" and I was told that they were "backed up for 5 DAYS"! That is just the craziest thing I have ever heard. A drugstore that is 5 days behind. I will never go back to this drugstore again. That is just not acceptable.

Unreliable, extremely slow and has become a part time pharmacy. No longer open on weekends and not even open every week day.

When shutting down one pharmacy and having customers from that pharmacy merge over to this one I would think that they would’ve been more prepared to handle the amount of people they knew would be coming. This is not the staffs fault as far as what I can tell. They all seem to be working as fast as they can. Higher management of Walgreens is totally to blame. The max I’ve seen behind the counter is 4 people. I’ve only been in there maybe three times since merging over so maybe there is usually more but 4 people is not enough to handle all that has been thrown at them. The few times I have been inside I’ve had to wait in a line to get to the counter. Not a small line either. This morning I had been on hold for 25 minutes to speak with someone in the pharmacy. After being on hold that long they tell me they don’t have my medication in stock. REALLY! So Walgreen’s upper management not only have you completely stressed out your staff that’s trying to handle the great amount of people that you knew would be coming you also didn’t make sure you would have enough of the medications that we need.

What's the point of calling several *days* in advance to refill your prescription if it's never ready when you go to pick it up? Most of the staff there are nice but things are still horribly slow, and one woman is consistently grumpy and rude. They constantly have to fix or change something in the computer when the refill is finally available, which adds even more wasted time. We're slowly moving all our prescriptions over to another pharmacy because we're tired of the hassle that is dealing with Walgreen's pharmacy.

It's unfortunate that you can't give negative stars. after being diagnosed with influenza b, my prescription was called into this location at approximately 2:00 p.m. For three hours I was told the prescription was being processed and I would get a call as soon as it was done. I finally called again only to find out that the pharmacy was closed! It's the first time I've used this pharmacy since it switched from a rite aid to the Walgreen's. It will certainly be the last time I use them. If you decide to give them a try, go straight to the shift supervisor, Teresa. She was helpful.

Walgreens pharmacy in Stuarts Draft Va has been open for several months. Being a suggested pharmacy from medicare I transfer to them. What a mistake. I called in for my prescription and was told they didn’t have my Drs electronic refills. The pharmacist I talked to said that I needed to call my Dr and have them repeated . I ask why and they said they had just transferred from Rite Aid to Walgreens. I have been getting my prescriptions from supposedly from Walgreens for the past 6 plus months.I hope they can get their act together before I go back to more reliable pharmacy.

They are terrible. Rite aid had polite staff and I never had a medication errors .I have had the same error on the same mediction every time I have had it refilled. The staff is very grumpy but I feel sorry for them they seem stressed out and there does not seem enough of them to do the required work. I am sure Walgreens maked more money by shutting down the other Rite Aid, however it did it customers and staff no favors. I am just going to go elsewhere for my prescriptions after 15 years at the Coalter Street Location what a shame.

Slow and rude. My daughter had teeth extracted and needed pain medication. I had to wait in the drive thru for over 30 minutes while the worker knew my daughter was in the car with bloody gauze hanging out of her mouth. No apology or empathy, and no sense of triaging patients with more urgent prescription needs.

I would like to give it a zero but it’s not an option. I spent almost 30 min on hold with pharmacy to find out why a prescription called in 2 days ago is still in process. Then I got the excuses of how busy they are and short staffed. Horrible customer service. Do not use them is my suggestionAs a follow up I went two days later to pick up perscription, had to wait in drive thru for 10 min and car ahead of me, no one ever came to window so I backed out and went in. Finally got waited on and asked for manager the pharmacy manager said she was the only manager and I asked if she read reviews and she said no. I told her people concerns and she said there was nothing she could do. I asked for a contact above her and she said there was none but finally gave me district managers name and contact. There were bags of perscriptions in bins on floor and the staff could not find anything, very unorganized

I’ve tried calling prescriptions in using automated phone system, Walgreens app, and calling (it places you on hold your number #1 in line - till being on hold for almost 5 minutes and you become #2). I was on hold so long - that I drove to Verona while on hold, walked in still on hold (32 min) to see a drive thru associate rushing around, one pharmacist chatting about football from her workstation, and I (assume) the 3rd woman was a pharmacist with an attitude who looked up and never acknowledged me. Finally, the drive thru associate was free and I began my rant.Unfortunately, for the two who pharmacist who tried using, “phone issues” (oh look the phone rings) so one gets the phone and 2nd wants to help me.The conversation continues about the phone once the strawberry blonde gets off phone with 2nd pharmacist while looking at my prescription while I was standing there. A customer walks up and I hear we are under staffed, long hours and customers in store come first. So.... I go right to her workstation and she picks up the phone. I wait.Again, I don’t care about you being understaffed, long hours, etc. What I care about is customer service, timely prescriptions, and someone to reach for medication questions. I don’t mean to sound cold but I can’t help you with staffing.Needlessly, to say this was the first incident in (Jan) and yesterday made for 3rd (drive-thru with same strawberry blonde pharmacist who feels the need to exaggerate why the prescription wasn’t filled) and walks off. I chose to drive off with no prescriptions and do a face to face , today. So will I use Verona Walgreens ever??? NOI would rather pay out the pocket before using Walgreens in Verona. (NO other local Walgreens involved)

Vet called in an RX for my dog around noon. I came in around 3:00. Pharmacy manager is talking to another employee behind the counter for about 5 minutes. None of them say "Hello" or "We'll be right with you".Finally a different employee comes over to help me. She takes my name, etc etc. Asks if I want to wait or come back to pick up the Rx.They didn't fill the script because they "didn't have a profile" for my dog. The info the vet sent over had our phone number on it. If you need something before you can fill the Rx, CALL! Why wait until I come in to tell me that I'm going to need to come back?!Terrible customer service.

Was placed “ on hold” for over an hour today. VERY POOR service! That is unacceptable. I was checking on a prescription placed, by my doctor, two weeks ago and I was told they were checking my insurance coverage BUT THAT SHOULD NOT TAKE 2 weeks to resolve.

Doctor electronically sent my son's prescription in. Waited in the drive thru line for 20ish mins with 2 cars in front of me and a total 45 mins after the Rx was sent, they tell me itd be 30 mins so i decided to come back in the evening to pick it up. Waited in the line 3 hours later for a good 25 mins just to be told it wasnt ready yet. Waited 10 more minutes and they brought it to me. The service is slow and it seems rather hectic in the pharmacy. They have to clean up their act and get things straight before I'll be coming back.

Greatly improved from when it first opened. The auto refill is convenient and I always get a call to let me know when it's ready. They also got an emergency supply quickly for me when my prescription needed to be renewed.
