Don't ask questions. Get some chicken, get a breakfast sandwich. Everything is good. Everything. I've dreamed of this place and this food. My first visit I told the woman I might be back she said "oh you will." Reader, she was right. I went back every day for a whole week. A WEEK!!!! Best down home, hand battered, homemade food I've EVER had next to my grandma's cooking rest her soul. Those ladies are whipping up wonders in that kitchen.

I love Wade's deli because they have the best fried chicken in the valley, that would be the Shenandoah valley in Virginia.They also do catering and they are spot-on.I've never had a bad meal at Wade's deli and catering.

Great Little Place! A Bit high on prices but wonderful home made food! The staff is very friendly! Don't blame the high prices on them, that falls mostly to the owner. Example: a $2 pack of cigs anywhere else like down the road at the Citgo, is nearly $4 here and that's a generic brand! Also you will be charged additional if you use plastic!! So take cash, check out the lunch specials but go down the road for cigs!

Nice store, kind service. Delicious fresh foods are made fresh for you by request. They also have homemade food items such as Mac and cheese & mashed potatoes. They also have day specials. Drinks and sandwiches were also available.

I would not recommend going here if you are not a regular. I was stared down by the owner and given extremely rude sarcasm when asking about the food she offers. I had to ask her three times a question before she rolled her eyes at me and blamed an employee for why there were no croissants. I thought she was the owner so I thought that was very unprofessional and quite inappropriate for an owner.I saw the other lady using her bare hands to make my sandwich. When I asked why she didn’t wear gloves she got defensive with me and then began being rude to me and my partner. Every time we’ve ever come here it’s been absolutely poor service and I’ve tried not to leave a review but frankly I’ve heard to many negative things to keep quiet.The owner seems rude to customers and staff. I feel bad for them I’m sure there is a high turn over . I wouldn’t want to work for her either.Ps. They DONT seem lgbtq friendly or friendly to those who aren’t white.DON NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS!! SHE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!

In all my 54 years, I've never heard anyone call this little country store anything other than HILLTOP. My daughter and I were using this store as a meeting point to exchange my grand daughter who'd been with me the previous week, but had I said " Let's just meet at Wade's ", she would have Google mapped it for directions believing she was unfamiliar with it. It has been several years since I'd been at HILLTOP, and as I was inside deciding what soda I wanted, looking around I marveled at how it looked as it did 10,20 years ago! I remarked to the extremely pleasant ( another feature that has remained the same) lady ringing up my Mt Dew, I wonder how many years this ole building has really been here...( it doesn't appear to have actually aged as all things do). She didn't know the answer, and I added " I'm glad to see it's still going strong!" Meaning still in business. It's just a quaint, rather ordinary little mom and pop type store (& small deli) to my best description of this vintage,general store from another era that has evolved just a little to still service the community! The people working as well as patronizing are always so friendly and polite. It could almost be compared to Floyd's Barbershop in Mayberry- the community gathering place- to grab a soda and a hotdog at better prices than you'll find at anywhere else in town, and a nice chat with another loyal HILLTOP friend!

Had them cater my son and daughter-in-laws rehearsal dinner and wedding. Best decision ever!! What a relief it was knowing they were taking care of this important part of the wedding. I received lots of complements from our guests. Food was delicious and staff was very friendly. Sharon went over and above! Would highly recommend this cater!

What a disappointment. Walked in wanting some good ole fried chicken. What I got were the leftovers. Dry, brittle, not fit to eat. The woman did herself a real disfavor by just wanting to make a sale. Will never go back.

Good morning Facebook friends and family there's a store on Beverly Street in Staunton Va called Wade's Market if you're black and you go there to buy food they talk real nasty to you do not go there I went there today about 25 minutes ago to get some food and she talk real nasty to me I spend my money in your store you going to respect me I haven't talk nasty to you so word of advice if you're black do not go to the store and Order no food because she will do something to it she got a Confederate flag on her back pocket of who shot white lady she got a nasty attitude she works in the store she need to learn people skills she don't have that but if you was white she would talk to you real nice. Customer service is very poor when it comes to service our nationality.
