Great little restaurant and shop! The menu is awesome, the specials are ‘SPEACIAL’ and there’s a great beer and wine selection. Can’t wait to come again!

Came across this place while looking for a local "farm-to-table" restaurant. We had a small group coming from different corners of the US and everyone found something they really enjoyed! Really cute place. I like the way it's set up with the wine market on one side and dining area on the other. Service was top notch and the food was fresh, inventive, and tasty! I really praise whoever came up with these flavor combinations!

Came here unexpectedly bc I needed my car worked on by C and E car shop right next door pretty much and was so pleasantly surprised because though it looks like a fancy little wine and cheese shop, it had THE BEST collard greens I've ever had the pleasure of eating. The French dip sandwich was amazing as well. The server Nicole, was super nice and informative and took great care of us. The place was great, will definitely be back.

The food here is seriously good. I had the butternut squash soup and it tasted just like my mom's (actually probably even better, sorry mom). The roasted sweet potatoes were out of this world delicious, it took everything in me not to beg for the recipe. My spouse had the party melt which he absolutely raved about. The prices are 100% worth it, as they must use local or fresh ingredients for everything. Honestly, I haven't had food this simply good and delicious since I visited Italy in 2013... and that's saying something. Never mind how cute the atmosphere is. With a small grocery fresh selection and HUGE wall of wine. And our server was just wonderful, so kind and genuine and made us feel at home.We were just stopping through town, but if I lived here I'd stop in every week.

This little shop is a gem for food and wine lovers. Glad to have such a wide selection of beer and wines--at all prices--and carefully made sandwiches and pasta offerings. We enjoy the Monday wine tastings and you can select a bottle to drink with dinner. Great local vibe with gifts and grocery items along the shelves. It's tucked in a strip shopping center outside of town but well worth the trip!

A great welcoming atmosphere where you like family when you walk in. Owners, Cody and Patrick, have paid great attention when making sure that the food and service are superb. My wife and I go the Smoked Turkey Club with potato salad and the pulled pork with the greens. The flavors of the meat are amazing and the crispness of the vegetables are unbeaten. If you want the farm to table experience and have it at an affordable price, Seed to Tail is the place you need to try. Also the market area offers local staples that are a MUST TRY! We will definitely be coming back to support local.

My two sisters and I stopped in for the first time. Small menu but we all chose a different meal and we're delighted with our choices. Highly recommend! Daily specials, too!✨✨✨They also have a nice wine selection for enjoying there, take home, or putting a gift basket together. Many interesting selections for basket items as well.

Great meal at Seed to Tail tonight. We had an early dinner (they close at 7:00 PM) with a wine tasting first, with New Zealand, Australian, & Italian wines. Then we had a delicious meal of pasta & mushrooms in a lovely sauce. This was our first time there. The environment is attractive, unpretentious, & wonderful place for conversations with friends. It’s also a wine shop and I found a bottle of my favorite Chilean wine to enjoy with dinner. Wonderful food in a wonderful setting.

Nice wine selection. I got the North Carolina style BBQ and was not impressed. Far from NC BBQ! I've never had collards like that. Interesting. My wife got the Italian Sub. She has diverticulitis and can't eat small seeds. Her bun was loaded with sesame seeds. That should have been mentioned on the menu. The atmosphere is nothing special. Service was lacking.

My husband and I were so happy to see this new lunch place open, so close to our office. We come every week, and sometimes twice a week. Patrick is an amazing chef and the staff is very friendly. I never thought I would ever eat a "beet bowl", but find myself getting it quite regularly. Today I had the sausage and vegetable soup, which definitely hit the spot, after a cold rainy weekend. They have a nice selection of wines and if you need something for dinner, there are some nice options in the freezer to take home. If you haven't already, you need to check this place out!

Food was pretty good! (butternut squash soup and beet salad) I would say maybe alittle more greens in the salad since it was really small for the price ($21). Overall, neat store and friendly staff. Not seeing myself coming all the time for lunch because of the high price and low portions.

So thankful Staunton has Seed to Tail! The owners are always so friendly and generous, and the food there is absolutely delicious. They have fresh produce and frozen meals available, and since I live so close by, I make it a point to get my weekly eggs and last minute veggie haul from them. They occasionally have fresh baked bread too, which is SOOO good. They have a cozy, familiar interior and a sweet little outdoor space too. Plenty of options for eating in, but also a great place to grab food on the go. They've got a wonderful wine selection as well and a few dry pantry items. Love seed to tail!

Pleasant vibe, nice patio. Dog friendly, brought water bowl. Food was really good, pulled pork and butternut squash were perfect, muffalato spread was a bit too vinegary and didn't capture quintessential olivey experience. Good overall, we will be happy to return. Had gluten free bread available for sandwiches which was great. Low touch service, they bring your food and utensils and are friendly

First of all, this place smelled amazing walking in the door. The owner said he was cooking for an event at a nearby winery. I ordered the chili and a chocolate cookie. The chili was great; lots of meat and had a really nice flavor. Served with fresh herbs and sour cream and cheese. The chocolate cookie is my new favorite - so good! The ambiance was great and the owner said they will be selling wine soon too, definitely coming back for a girls' night at one of their outside tables. 5 stars!

Lovely experience. We were visiting the area from out of town and choose this place based on online reviews. The staff was amazing and engaged. The food was well presented and absolutely delicious. The review was brought down due to limited menu options. If we'd checked the menu before arrival we probably would have chosen somewhere with more choices. Prices were a little high for the fare ($45 for 2 before tip). Still, I'd return again next visit.

Stopped by on my way to Goshen Scout Reservation. Place was highly recommended by my son who visited a few weeks earlier. I had the smoked pork and grits. It was nothing short of excellent. I should’ve known the portion would be small based on the price, but it was on the “small plates” menu. Would highly recommend his place. The only true downside is that it’s 2 hours away from where I live.

We have had several meals here, in groups of 2-6. Each of us, each time has come away just thrilled with our food and the dining experiences. It’s a charming place, very clean and cozy. Menu isn’t big, but there’s something for everyone —healthy, wholesome food with a creative twist. There have been additional specials each time we’ve been. Owner-chef assures quality control. A small selection of produce and prepared food options are available in the grocery section; a nicely curated wine store complements the space. What a treat!

This is our favorite restaurant in town. Food is always wonderful. Atmosphere and people are amazing. Going to the wine tasting and having pasta tonight. The family take home dinners on Wednesday and Friday never disappoint.

A shining beacon of color, wine, food, and hospitality! The interior is gorgeous and I envy those who can make regular visits. They have shelves of food books, and it's clear they have been read! They have food that just melts in your mouth. A real chef Patrick is, and great service from reign! Thank you for the awesome sandwiches!
