I ordered a birthday cake for pickup. The cake was so ugly. It wasn’t smooth. Crumbs all through the butter cream. The writing was horrendous. When I called about having it fixed or replaced I was met with “we will have to give you a call back.” Either fix it or refund. That simple

What atrocious checkout service. I visited about an hour ago. When I reached the cashier there was a loud rant between 3 checkout staff. I finally realized they were complaining about a former customer. There was no acknowledgement of me but continual back and forth about the other customer. At the prices we pay for limited stocking you would think Kroger could at least pay, train, and supervise staff who know how to be pleasant to customers.

The store itself is fine but their "anti theft" cart system is the most asinine thing I've ever seen. They have it set to lock 20 feet outside of their door. The issue is people who go to their store park in the whole parking lot, not just directly in front of the store as they are usually too busy and the lot is full. The store also has a water fill station that fills 5 gallon jugs but the water station is outside of the locking area. Good luck hauling those jugs to your car. The prices aren't worth it and now this? No thanks Kroger I'll stick to one of the other 5 grocers inthe area

Don't ever shop here, unless you absolutely have to. The selection is pathetic and workers are unfriendly, and disconnected from their customers. I shopped here once because it was convenient. Never again.

Staunton Kroger is a terrible grocery store. Friend of mine asked the deli for a meat tray and they refused to have one available, or make it for her; and I asked for a sub and they said they weren't full-service so they're lazy , they have zero service, you ask a manager about it and they laugh at you, and Roanoke does nothing. It wasnt rhis way wirh the Perkins . And I will go in front of the world and tell them Kroger sucks. Our community is better without them.

I had to take my three children to the grocery store tonight two of them are 3 year old twins. They do not take a nap so by the time we got to the checkout line they were throwing a complete fit everybody around me saw that I was struggling to bag my $200.00 worth of groceries by myself while trying to keep my twins near my cart and to stop them from throwing stuff off of the shelves while we have other Baggers bagging people that have very few items. I was very disappointed that somebody couldn't take their time to bag my stuff while I keep my children in line and stop them from throwing stuff off the shelves acting a fool it would have been nice to have help from a bagger that works there instead of having someone yell at my child to stop them from throwing the stuff off the shelves. Probably would have been a more productive way to use their time while they're on the clock.

This Kroger has decent prices, is decently clean and organized, and has good selection. The bathrooms weren't in the best condition however, and some produce didn't seem the best.

one of the nicer kroger experiences we’ve had. the store was quiet in the evening, the music wasn’t obnoxiously loud, everything was in stock, most items were on sale, things rang up correctly.

Increasingly back to "normal" Shelves stocked and restocking in the way of shopping all the time. The restocked are polite and doing their job. The store isles are almost too small for 2 grocery buggies and definitely tight with stocking and cardboard advertising items there too

I only use this store for specific items because I can’t find them anywhere else. The store is clean for the most part, which is very important to me when shopping for food. My only criticism of this location is how they almost never open both sides of self checkout. They have so many and it would reduce wait time completely!

Lots of options but store is congested-aisles aren't very wide but to make it worse, displays have been set up in the aisles. Only one cart can be pushed past these at a time.

Whole not so much the store itself, but the pharmacy is terrible! I have tried for DAYS to get a hold of the pharmacy, as well as my doctor's office. I called the store line to speak with customer service, and was told they aren't answering their phone, you have to come in. If I were to go in, they couldn't help me, because they have the wrong dosage, and need to speak to my doctor. What's the point? If I could give it zero stars, I would.

They are hardly ever in stock of anything, and it's not because of the pandemic. I remember back in 2018 I wanted to get some Folgers coffee, and it was not in stock for 6 months. It's not just hard to find items you have trouble finding, it's the staples, and everyday items you have a hard time finding. And don't even get me started with the pharmacy! I dred having to go there. A lot of times, they'll call or text you saying a prescription is ready, and when you go to pick it up it's not ready. That has happened numerous times.

Went to krogers today in Staunton. A young woman, I believe her name was Christina she was working back in the deli all by herself!!!! around 4:30. I really hope the manager knows what an amazing employee they have! She is super nice, helpful and a sweet person! Because of her I will be back to shop there from now on!

Such a sad grocer.... Shelves often have large holes, produce is probably the worst out of all the Staunton grocers, and with occasional exception, the staff is extremely rude and surly. This store need a complete makeover! Until then , Aldi is right down the road.

This is specifically about Kroger Pickup. Without fail, the staff at pickup have been polite and helpful, and sometimes they've really gone above and beyond -- once when I was sick and they didn't have the type of crackers I'd ordered for anti-nausea purposes, they actually rustled up about four boxes of another kind on request and didn't charge me. Today, when they were running late on filling orders, they called me in advance and communicated about the delay, accommodated my schedule in picking up the order, and even took $20 off the purchase for the delay, which I didn't request or require but I definitely appreciate! I've been doing pickup off and on for a couple of years now and my experiences are just universally positive.

The employees have mostly been very helpful which means a lot to me as I do have physical challenges. Often I'll shop after 9:30 pm when only the self check is available + I need assistance. Most of the time staff has been helpful. Last night Tori was on duty. Immediately she offered to check me out in the regular checkout lane without hesitation. This was the first time she was on self checkout duty when I checked out. In the past I was helped, but checkout took awhile longer because other customers also needed help. Tori checked me out in the lane + it took a fraction of the time and I didn't have to wait at all which helped alot. I thanked her + said I wished others would do it because it saved me time + it took less time for the employee.Tori said that staff was authorized to do this if needed.I wish others would do it because it was helpful + took significantly less time for the staff. Tori went above and beyond and I hope that this will be noted in her record.

disappointed. I came in on Wednesday to order a celebration cake for Sunday pick up. When i got there nobody had any idea about the cake. And bakery staff was rude. When i called the manager, he instantly found the ticket with my cake order. He was really nice. The rude bakery lady then said she could do it in twenty minutes. And it definitely looks like she did. So disappointed in the cake. I literally could have done it because the words look like chicken scratch. I don’t plan on going back to Kroger for anything at this location anymore.
