Tonya's Food Lion is great. It's always a good mix of groceries across the Spectrum. My inky suffocation is ask I think the deli should take what's left of the hot bar that day and put it out in the cold case, like all the other stores do, so we can grab a quick snack when we're done at the Y if we want to. But the staff is super and they're nice to people and it's a clean open nice place to shop. Is definitely in good hands since Mr Pritchett as well :)

Nothing fancy but it has all the basics! I do like the Nature's Promise line they carry. I have always found the workers very helpful and friendly.

I enjoy coming to this store. For the simple reason the shelves are well stocked, it's brightly lit and clean. The cashiers are fast and friendly. Everything is neat on the shelves, and the isles are spacious.But I need to shop here more often because I don't know where anything is at. I found myself walking back and forth for an item.

Food Lion is always well-stocked and has a clean store and friendly staff. They do not have self-checkout. Great produce. Their sale prices are much lower than the big discount stores.

This store is nowhere near as nice as the store in Verona. It's an okay spot, but not nearly as well kept, or clean. The employees here are not as personable either.

The staff is very friendly and they usually have everything that I need. It is close to home and it is always very very clean. The produce is very fresh, and they have a moderately large selection. They have some incredible sales from time to time including in their circular that is provided at the front of the store, and a really cool coupon center where you can type in your MVP card and get added discounts.

After having a terrible experience at the Food Lion on West Beverley Street in Staunton I went to this location. Tammy in the Deli was phenomenal! She made my son's birthday cake on short notice and did a wonderful job in doing so. She had a positive attitude and was very willing to help and apologetic for the experience at a previous Food Lion. The customer service here is wonderful!

This newly renovated store has great employees. it's clean and well-stocked and one of the only ones in the area that actually had plenty of hand sanitizer and tissues. The only thing I would not buy there is meat. Not as fresh as it should be. The bakery workers are really friendly and produce is abundant. Very well done Food Lion.

This location isn't always ideal for me but it's still on the top of my list of "go to" grocery stores in Staunton. Overall, the employees are very helpful, kind and knowledgeable. The deli items sell quickly because everything is made fresh daily. Their rotisserie chicken salad is so yummy! The addition of the wing bar is a huge bonus and the produce section is always stocked with all the items I purchase weekly! I no longer live in the area, but I highly recommend Food Lion for great selection and affordable prices!

This is by far, hands down, the best Food Lion in Staunton. I am greeted every time I come in the door. I am assisted with a smile when needing help in any department and when checking out. Tonya is a very competent, knowledgeable store manager who knows how to lead which reflects in her employees. Cliff the grocery manager has been so helpful more times than I can count. Over all great store!!

I have been into this grocery store on several occasions. The first couple of times I went the staff was very friendly. My husband and I went last Friday night to purchase water and coffee. The cashier's were extremely rude. They did not even greet us when we walked up to the check out line. There was even a manager pricing items who never even bothered to greet us. I just recently moved to the area and I have been going to Martin's for all of my grocery shopping. Not only is the staff extremely friendly,but the prices are just as cheap. The only good thing I can say about this particular Food Lion is that it is very clean.

Since the outbreak of covid, this store has stayed consistent and organized throughout. There's employees scattered everywhere to help customers and make sure everyone is safe. It's really good to see a store with extra help (if needed) on hand!

This Food Lion has lots of cash register areas open to pay,with a very short wait. I was pleased to find everything I was looking for and to pay and get out in a short time. The cashiers are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this store.

We recently moved to Staunton from Florida where we were lifelong Publix shoppers. Publix' cleanliness and stellar service have always been its competitive edge, and it is known as one of the best companies in the country to work for (my husband is retired Publix management). We were prepared to be disappointed with the options available here in Staunton. After checking out the other two grocers in town, we stopped by the local Food Lion on Coalter Street and were pleasantly surprised. Everything is as neat and orderly as a store on opening day. The store is scrupulously clean; the floors are so spotless and shiny that you can literally see your reflection in them, and the grocery shelves and departments are well tended - looking as good at the end of the day as they do first thing in the morning. Our last visit was in the early evening, and when we went to obtain items from the produce department, the racks were well graded and full, and the offerings were as fresh as if they had just come off the truck. Even more impressive is the professionalism of the staff with whom we have interacted. To a person, they have been courteous, pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. The attitude of the staff ensures that each shopping experience is a pleasant one. In particular, we have been assisted by Melanie in customer service who is an absolute delight - as is Jasmine, whose ready smile and cheerful demeanor make you glad you stopped by. We were assisted by Patrick in the meat department ( more than once, and he was incredibly pleasant each time) who went out of his way to help us, even going so far as to answer an inquiry about another department. Lauren has checked out our order on multiple occasions - always with a big smile and a kind word. We had occasion to speak with Christy in the bakery department, and she also was polite, helpful, and a great ambassador for her workplace. We commented to Patty, the front end manager, about how impressed we were with the store and staff and what a pleasure it was to shop there. She was wonderful as well. This story is definitely the best choice in town for your day-to-day shopping.

We are in Staunton Virginia visiting from Florida (where we no longer have Food Lion). Oh how we miss it! This particular store is one of the nicest I've been in. The staff is personable and professional. Food items are easy to find and they have a great variety. Prices are great!

Nice store but had none of the English cucumbers that were on sale and only broccoli they had I definitely wouldn't eat. Everything else was fine. I just have to go to another store for those 2 items now.
