The current pharmacist is SO rude. I went to pick up my rx after getting 2 alerts it was ready and it had already been put back and it was up to my dr to call it back in. I went back after getting yet another “it’s ready” alert and the pharmacist looked me in the face annoyed and said “i already told it’s not ready” and walked away.Such a grotesque way to treat people needing medications.

Never personally had a negative interaction with a staff member - everyone has been polite and helpful even when extremely busy. The pharmacy seems consistently understaffed so pretty long waits to pick up prescriptions.

I have a plethora of prescriptions from Johns Hopkins that I have filled here - until today. I am moving all of them. Promises are not kept, technicians have argued with me after filling a script for a year and say they don't fill it, rudeness from cashier on several occasions, and overall unreliable.

I stopped using CVS over a decade ago because their pharmacy staff was lax and there were always problems getting things covered that didn't happen at other pharmacies. Had an emergency on vacation and had an epipen called in. Because they use a weird brand instead of the one EVERY other major pharmacy uses, it was an hour long nightmare of calls bw them and bcbs and me before i finally got news the pen was approved for 4.5x my normal copay. Then it took them 30 minutes to print a label and put it on an epipen box.

Please do not use this CVS. THEY WILL NOT FILL YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS UNLESS YOU CALL THE "CHECK ON THE STATUS OF YOUR PRESCRIPTION" AND SPEAK DIRECTLY WITH A HUMAN.This is one of the few places I've ever been that has consistently disappointing service. They are very under staffed. And the employees range from nice to dangerously aggressive. I had a staff member delay my refill because I asked a question. I've worked for years in the service industry and have deep respect for employees dealing with the public. I feel genuinely sorry for the employees of this store.

Do not waste your time at this pharmacy. It is awful. The staff is miserable. My auto refills are never ready. I have to call them and get through the prompts only to sit on hold for 15 mins and get hung up on.When I finally get a staff member they are obviously annoyed and act rude.I was waiting on an auto refill for my son. They still didn't have it a week later but the real kicker was when the lady asked me why I waited so long to refill it!!! Like it was MY fault they can't get their act together.

Don't waste your time here, highly rec. going to Barterbrook instead. Pharmacist was extremely rude when I called to clarify a prescription for a patient. Was told exactly "I could finish it up if I could get off the phone with you." The phone call was under 2 minutes. As if my clarification was delaying Jenny from doing her job. I work with a lot of Pharmacies in the area and have NEVER been spoken to like this by anyone. At the end of the day, my focus is my patients. I know everywhere is short staffed and it can make things difficult but it is never okay to speak to someone like that who was reaching out on the behalf of a patient. We will send our clients to the one on Barterbrook from now on.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I consistently have to fight to get my prescriptions - waiting sometimes almost a week between the time it was submitted and pushed to "in process" and the time I call them to ask them to get it expedited so I don't run out of pills.Today really got me, though. I waited in line over ten minutes for a pickup to get up to the window and it was gated shut. I know they close for the half hour each day so I made sure to give myself plenty time to get there and get in line. I'm pretty sure they told the person in front of me to wait to pull away so they could close the gate. There was no one behind me and I had prepaid. What a joke.

If I could give them zero starts I would. My prescription is never ready and I get being busy but if you set up a time to pick it up when you refill it and it’s not ready and you have to wait 30 minutes every time when I am busy and have my daughter to tend to and can’t just stand around and do nothing for 30 minutes it’s crazy. They are flat out rude. My medicine had to come on the order because they didn’t have it at the pharmacy and I called to ask a timeline cause it says it’ll be done at 5:55 well this lady goes whenever we find it on the truck. Like duh do you know when so I don’t have to go there and wait thirty minutes again. Horrible service going to switch asap.

This review is specifically for the front end of the store. The pharmacist at this location shouldnt have a customer facing position, she is miserable and hateful and if this was a review for the pharmacy, I wouldn't even give it one star. Lets just say that I refuse to have my prescriptions filled there and you shouldn't either.However, all that being said, I frequently visit this CVS for a lot of my household items and the cashier staff has always been a pleasure to interact with. They are friendly, helpful, and respectful.Pharmacy, take notes.

Went in while incredibly ill to pick up medication my doctor said I needed to get on immediately. Was told they hadn't filled it and probably wouldn't for days. When I became distressed and tried to explain I needed this stuff to get better was told "you can take that attitude out of here."They are lazy and incompetent, and more than happy to play with people's lives and health to avoid doing their jobs. Go literally anywhere else. This place and these people are garbage and the store needs a hard reset from corporate. Hands down the worst pharmacy in town.

The techs and pharmacists try to be helpful, but the wait times are ridiculously long. Multiple times the drive through has been closed with no explanation, they tell me my prescriptions are ready when they aren’t, and they have forgotten parts of my order. Not sure if they are overworked or what the issue is.

The only reason I give this pharmacy a 1 is because of the effort the girl in blue made to apologize to me but there is a white haired lady that works there in a white lab coat that is EXTREMELY rude!! My prescription was called in 48 hours before I showed up and was asked to wait 30 minutes. Okay I waited an hour. Went back and they say, another hour. I very kindly said “well now I already waited an hour” and the white haired lady immediately started throwing things around and making rude statements towards me about how short staffed she is and she can’t do everything herself… etc etc. the lady in blue was immediately apologizing for her behavior. That older lady should NOT be in customer service let alone a pharmacist with that sort of behavior. I read another comment just 4 days ago about the same lady. So I’m sure I’m not alone in this. I’m taking my business elsewhere.

I walked in around noon or sgortly before on 10/14/22 with my vaccination card and a very rude pharmacist? or worker? in a white lab coat at the consult window ( with short grey hair, thin, plain face, didn't take her name) where I had a question about my card. Right away she had a rude expression towards me like I was interrupting her. I told her I tried to make an appointment to have my flu shot and covid shot online but it was not recognizing my date of birth or profile so I could not make the appointment. She retorted back rudely to call some number and walked away and I said but I don't understand why I got my shots here? And she said I am crazy busy here I have no idea and I couldn't believe her rudeness and I did roll my eyes at her and she said roll your eyes all you want but that's how it is! I cannot believe the lack of professionalism is at your pharmacy. I no longer get prescriptions here but I do spendaoy of money here as I live directly behind the store but I will never again patronize this store again! Disgusting! Martins is where I get my prescriptions. They are professional and kind. The pharmacist always comes to the window and answers my questions kindly and always shows empathy and kindness! Prescriptions are even done on time!

We go to this pharmacy because it’s so close to our house and you generally don’t have to wait super long - it’s just convenient, but we’ve thought about going somewhere else so many times!! So many of the people who work in the pharmacy just seem miserable. We’ve had entirely too many negative experiences with people being snarky and just rude. I understand they likely experience frustrating things like all people do in there jobs but for the people who come in and have questions because they don’t understand or mistakes have been made, being friendly goes along way. Plus the CVS pharmacy staff might be surprised to find that their kindness would come right back to them, and they’d have a much different day if they chose not to be miserable.

The pharmacy will not answer phone calls, which is a problem when you have to drive 40 mins each way just to check if a new prescription is ready (no texting as cell phones don't work where I live). Inside the store some of the pharmacy staff are very nice, but I hesitate to say that of everyone. I am sorry, I have used this cvs for years since they moved to this location. But, I will probably change over to mail order for prescriptions, since they don't seem to care about patients.

In the past few months service has really gone downhill. I have had several issues with getting refills on time, even when I call ahead of time and warn them that my medication is time sensitive. Now when I call, the main pharmacy person is very rude and not helpful. I had a prescription that was set to auto refill and instead of offering to fill it, she told me I hadn't called in, said it wasn't on auto refill and then when I tried to ask her about setting it back up for auto refill, she just told me it would be ready today and hung up on me. I'm definitely going to be switching to another pharmacy.

A nightmare of a pharmacy!! Insurance wasn’t verified, when I inquired to confirm current insurance was ran, response was “It looks right, my best guess is it’s right.” No offer to confirm. New prescriptions put on hold (not refills), a 30 day supply filled as 180 so I was charged 3x the amount and 90 extra pills, prescriptions yelled across the store while 10+ people in line, extreme wait times, drive thru closed, rude, unprofessional, unhelpful, poor customer service from the pharmacist….I will never have prescriptions filled here again! I have a disaster to sort out from their inaccurate data entry on three prescriptions, possibly insurance issues, and no prescriptions ready which are obviously needed ASAP! Highly discourage using this pharmacy. Corporate intervention is needed IMMEDIATELY.

Pharmacist told us everything would be filled in an hour and then when we went back we were told they were out of one of the meds and could come back on Monday. Monday comes around and they say they aren’t sure when they can fill it but they’ll do a partial. Now I’ve been on the phone 20 plus minutes and no one at the pharmacy has picked up. This is the last of a long line of problems. They question prescriptions and insinuate that you are abusing them. They miscount pills (though at least they acknowledged this when we went in) and are generally rude and unpleasant except for that one guy (not the pharmacist, he’s rude and dismissive).Ok. It’s been 25 minutes now. We’re switching pharmacies.

Possibly some of the worst pharmacy managment I have EVER seen. Have never had a prescription be ready on time, half the time I don't get the texts that they're ready and half of the time they "lost" my prescription altogether. A few of the pharmacy techs are rude, unprofessional and are playing around with peoples life saving medications. I am a diabetic, my prescriptions are life and death and my life depends on them

Every time I have to deal with this pharmacy I encounter the rudest techs and pharmacist’s I have ever had to deal with. I called to talk to someone this Evening and they kept me holding 30 minutes until the store closed and then hung up.I have asked 3 days in a row for my Dad’s meds and they said it would be ready, I got to the store and it wasn’t. 3 Trips! I talked to the pharmacist who was an extremely rude man. He said we are three days behind getting prescriptions out. I said my Dad couldn’t miss and he said there was nothing he could do. He didn’t even offer to send it to a different pharmacy. I am very frustrated with this pharmacy and will be talking to Tricare East about the service.

Since CVS chose to delete my review instead of actually addressing the issue.. let me share it again.Pharmacy tech with brown hair (refused to give me her name) treated me like an animal today. Store Supervisor Ashley P****m is just as big of a joke as the rest of the staff. She says this location has WONDERFUL customer reviews….. an absolute joke. Patrick C***s, the district manager, has still not reached out to me. These employees genuinely do not care about patients and I don’t think anything will be done about it. It’s really sad.

Go to a different pharmacy if you can. I hate CVS. I thought it was just one store that had poor customer service in the pharmacy but it’s every single one I’ve been to. Don’t ever believe what they say to you. Especially with dates and times medication will be ready. They always give the wrong information. Especially with this location. I’ve made numerous pointless drives because they give the wrong date. I genuinely think they will hire anyone. I’m having to stand here for an hour AGAIN because they gave me the wrong time.Thank you pharmacy staff for being so consistent in making things more inconvenient than necessary and for always having such poor customer service skills. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We had dropped off a prescription on a Thursday, was told they lost it, then got another call that they had “found” it. We never heard back about it being ready, called back on Sunday, was told they didn’t have it. When we asked to call they said they wouldn’t call until Monday. When asked why, we were told they were closed which was inaccurate as someone in our family works there. When we informed them of this, they got an attitude, hung up, and are now refusing to answer our calls now.

This evening I was patiently waiting in the pharmacy drive-through line of CVS on Churchville Avenue in Staunton when the car in front of me pulled away. As I was pulling up to the window the technician looked right at me and closed the grate to lock the window. It was right at 8 o’clock when the car in front of me pulled off despite me having waited in line for nearly 10 minutes. I understand the pharmacy closes at eight but I never received a call to tell me that my daughter’s prescription was ready (the doctor just called it in this evening close to five when we left his office). My daughter needed this antibiotic for her surgery taking place tomorrow. I pulled around and went in the main entrance where I spoke with a pharmacy technician who told me there was nothing she could do because the system automatically shut off at 8 o’clock. This response was completely unbelievable due to the fact that systems don’t just shut down unless they’re queued to do so by the person operating them. I tried to speak with the store manager and told him that I needed to get an antibiotic for my daughter’s surgery from the pharmacy but was told they couldn’t help me. He did not even respond with a single word but simply just shrugged his shoulders and stared at me. Completely unprofessional. I pray that my daughter doesn’t become more ill without this antibiotic that she was supposed to get prior to surgery.

I’m a 12 almost 13 and having to worry about if I’m going to get my medication refilled in time I ran out of my anti-depressants yesterday and my last review with my pediatrician she said she has it refilled and that week after they kept calling my mom saying it wasn’t ready but now their saying it’s not time I was upped from half of a pill to a whole and idk if that why I can’t find the empty bottle to give the code thing and uva isn’t open right now I really need them as a lot is going on right now and I only have my anxiety meds the service has gone down a lot since I started my medication and they only go by what they want. Please get better staff.

I came to the Churchville Avenue CVS in great pain to pickup an emergency prescription for shingles. We had confirmed that the Rx was filled and ready because the pharmacy is a 45 minute drive from our home.We arrived at the drive-through several minutes before closing.The pharmacist and two technicians had closed early and explained that they close according to the wall clock. This in spite of the fact that we all had cell phones showing the correct time.The pharmacist in particular was rude and made it abundantly clear that my pain and the actual time made no difference to her. Both techs knew they had closed early, but took no responsibility, saying only that it was up to the pharmacist.

3/10/22 update:Looking back on this review makes me realize that I wrote much of it in anger/frustration. I'm re-rating as three stars, rather than one.Service has improved quite a bit. I have several scripts I pick up here now that are filled relatively quickly. Haven't had issues with meds. Staff, in my recent experience, have also been non-judgmental and respectful, as far as I've seen.Original:I've honestly have rarely had a good experience at this location in the last four months. Pharmacy staff has typically been somewhat unfriendly, and filling my prescriptions is often an exercise in futility. Today, they couldn't seem to find the script for my daughter's antibiotics two hours after it was submitted. I called her doc to have the script resubmitted to the Rite-Aid/Walgreens in Verona (where it was received immediately and will be ready for pickup in just a few minutes).Go elsewhere, if you can. I hear better things about the CVS on Barterbrook, near the Goodwill.
