So yes it’s been a while since I’ve ate here and I remember friendly service and great food. That leaves me to say that upon entering and looking at the menu which is normal. Then to go to the window and waiting for someone to greet you. A greeting you didn’t get. Just a look like what do you want. No hello or anything. Like it was a bother to them. Cheese sticks was good and the burger was dry. Not much else to say.

The quality is lacking in the food and service. The price definitely didn't match the quality. Waaaay too expensive! The place could be a lot better if the effort was there. The fries were very greasy tasting. The grease also needed changing as well. Great location because there's no other place nearby. Too bad they aren't better.

Bad in several ways. Food was bad. Paid $9 for a roast beef "sub." They burned the meat to a crisp and it was really a medium sized sandwich. See the picture. It was the kind of price to value that I would expect at some dump in a prime real estate location like on the Ocean City boardwalk or in Manhattan. The bread was not bad, though, so it could have been worse, which is the reason for 2 stars rather than 1.The little shack where you wait was also swarming with flies. And we waited 20 min for the food, even though there were only two parties waiting before us.And cars were piled up outside by the time we left, as if the place was the best restaurant for 50 miles around. Someone was parked behind us blocking us in when we tried to leave.I would skip lunch and dinner rather than go to this place again. It's a tourist trap and they get away with the high ratio of prices vs service and quality because they know people from the suburbs are driving past it going to Shenandoah, and they're the only quick food for miles around .

We like this place a lot. The food is great, especially the milkshakes. Staff is a bit unfriendly, but I always give people the benefit of the doubt that maybe we came on a bad day! We love sitting next to the river, and enjoying the beautiful views. It is right on the way to Shenandoah so a great place to grab food on the way in or out. We also love the fries!Parking: Parking is good. Be careful getting out because it is right off of 211.

The food was fresh and delicious. The mozzarella sticks are VERY GOOD!!! Cheese fries are on point too. And hands up for the thin crust pizza, it was very good better than most of the thin crust pizzas I have ever had 10/10!! I nerd to go back and try the shakes now!

Decent little roadside burger and fry shack. Put your order in then wait outside for your order to be called. Picnic tables are available for seating. I'd go back again if in the area.

After a long day of running 10 miles plus hiking 10 miles ..this place is a CHARM❤ I was surprised of how good the food tasted ...They have affordable prices and various food options for foodies like me (super yummie place❤😋😋😋❤❤❤) Loved it (will come back on my next run to Shenandoah National Park🌳🌳🌳

Staff is so friendly and accommodating. Customer service is the first focus for us.The food was pretty good; we had the hotdogs with fries, coleslaw, and onion rings. Sweet tea was just right without being too sweet. And the coleslaw- it is made in-house and is awesome!We look forward to coming back soon!

For being out in basically no wheresville, it's great!Wonderful people, very friendly, courteous as you would expect and GOOD food for not a lot.Stop by and place your order, pack it up and go up onto Skyline for a picnic with a view!

Nice friendly little roadside spot to grab a bite, large menu for such a place. Friendly staff - those whose reviews say otherwise must have been grumpy or rude themselves. Burgers were great, fries were nice & hot/creamy on the inside. We didn't have to wait very long. Just remember there's no inside eating - the "porch" waiting area is inside but doors open often so it's cold.Parking: Parking is to the side of the building, of the road, could be an issue if busy.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu

We had heard several time about this place from friends.Not especially attractive from the outside and there is NO SIGN reading "Pub." But we went in and ordered the Rueben Sandwich.Have had a lot of Ruebens in my 80 years but this one was the BEST! Fries were exceptionally crisp, fresh, flavorful and HOT.Very nice service, too.Boy! The one-star reviews are baffling to me. We eat here about once a week, and have never had any issues. The comments that the items are over-priced are ridiculous--just check out other places on Google Maps and compare. This place is closed on Sundays, so they did not close early if they weren't open! Read the sign carefully. This is good food for the price--the best in Rappahannock County.Vegetarian options: It would be nice to have some on the menu, such as salads...Parking: LimitedKid-friendliness: Great treats for the kids!

Burger had a weird chemical taste. Fries were oddly tough and had no flavor. Cole slaw, which was the highlight, was the finely minced kind out of a big jar. Wait was very long, I don’t think they started cooking our three burgers until finishing the previous order. Dumpster smell was wafting over the picnic tables. Cross the stream into town to the coffee place, their food, coffee and desserts are fantastic.

Food is always good, but the older lady who works here is always rude and just seems angry that you've chosen to eat here. The ice cream menu is also gone, and though I tried to ask about the milkshakes offered, she just yelled "vanilla" at me, so I assume just vanilla shakes are available. We will still go back, we are frequent customers here, especially in the summer months after a long hike, but a little bit better of an attitude would make the experience much more enjoyable

This shack on the side of the road had a bad combination of rudeness and extremely subpar food. The burger was OK at best. The BBQ was heated in the microwave and slopped on a bun. The fries tasted as if they were cooked in old grease with a terrible flavor and no salt. The older lady that waited on us would roll her eyes if you attempted to ask a question. I also watched her preparing food with no gloves, I can only hope she at least washed her hands after handling customers money. Also, waited for almost 20 minutes for my order. I would not return. There was a very nice looking wood fired pizza place we passed on our way to this shack! Wish I had eaten there instead.

Stopped by this side joint to grab a quick bite to eat. I had gotten the chicken finger platter, and my lady had gotten the Turkey club with a strawberry milkshake. We were both satisfied with our meals which ran us a little over $20. The menu has a lot to offer so if your ever in the neighborhood stop on by and check them out.

Super disrespectful staff. A out of town guy brought his order back to explain he meant fish and chips as fries not literal chips. Young guy behind the counter became irate and said “well you got what you got” everyone that witnessed it was super uncomfortable. The food was sub par. Gas station burgers at best. My wife and I go to Shenandoah a lot and we’re excited to stop at this place as we always see it on our way. Probably will never go back because of this experience.

We just happened to drop in on a whim, and although the owner/cook seemed a bit curmudgeon, our good came quickly and inexpensively. We had a chili dog. Cheeseburger all the way, with a small fry and a small coke for $10.10.My wife thought the chili dog was the best she had in a long time and my burger was hand made and the buns on both were fresh. What do you want out of a roadside stand in a town on the edge of the mountains? Well worth the money and time.

Surprisingly big menu. The chili cheese dog was delicious! My wife highly enjoyed her grilled chicken chef salad.
