This store is great, and has a great customer service team. They have shone out right great service that is hands down second to non. The whole team as far as I am concerned go above and beyond to make the customer experience great. The prices are on point as well, better than online, and other retail stores in there category.

So I’ll give my local store a shoutout, but when I couldn’t fit a large sized kennel on top of my jeep wrangler, nor did they have a hitchable trailer legal to use, i had my pleasure encountering an amazing employee! An amazing shoutout to Bobby Goodrich, for not only helping me with my whole buying process and helping other customers in the meantime, but making my tractor supply shopping better!He genuinely took time out of his life to make sure i was able to get my purchased item home for my chickens and I!I know good employees are one in a million, but for those who go above and beyond what they’re paid to do, deserve more recognition than the company could even attest to see. That right there is a fantastic employee, and are truly blessed to have him at such location. I’ll now love shopping there more, for such a selfless act, and genuine compassion for the “customers” as a whole. They deserve more than a thank you!

This time I talked to Charlie over the phone about Carhart clothing items in stock and once again the employee was very helpful. It is such a nice change to call a company who hires friendly people to help potential customers out over the phone. I can’t wait to start doing business with tractor supply because they sell a lot of different items that I can use and I don’t have to go to the other big box stores as much anymore where it can be hard to find people to help you.

Clean store with friendly folks but unfortunately, they never have the Purina Pro I need. (Although I do appreciate the duck Full Moon jerky tenders no one else has. ) They also no longer have military discounts unless it's a national holiday and well, the base commissary carries the beef Purina Pro consistently so I'll be hassling the husband on his way home.

Every time I go I get such excellent service....such a great team and store is my favorite...Becky and Charlie are great employees...so helpful, pleasant, polite....makes our experience above and beyond...I will only come to this store. I lucked out tonight and had the best buying experience ever. There was a gentleman there from Texas, and I'm sorry I didn't get his name yet, he was so very helpful. I had spent a frustrating day looking for items, he not only helped me, he is transferring a couple items from a TSC near his home tonight, so that I can pick it up tomorrow at TSC Smithfield. He made my difficult life easier tonight, and I couldn't be more pleased.

The people there are always pleasant and helpful. I've always enjoyed visiting this store because they always have what I'm looking for and always ask if I need any assistance. Just good ole country folk that are helping to keep our farms prosperous, and our farm animals nourished and protected. We need more places like this because, as silly as it sounds, they show us what core values & morals are & how we should act towards one another. NEIGHBORLY & SINCERE!!!

Love this place! Always clean and a friendly staff as well. The PET SUPPLY section is fantastic as well. I was shocked to see that, personally...pleasantly surprised. The clothing selection is great too...if you're looking for Carhart gear, this is your place. A working man's candy shop.

Bought a shirt for my wife, man handed the shirt across the counter like it was a tool, not asking if she wanted a bag to put it in! Really....what happened to good business etiquette!Suffolk and Elizabeth city have my business because their never rude.

Workers are friendly enough. The store itself when I go in is unorganized, pallets of food or products blocking where I need to go, out of feed. Their rain check system is a joke. Two times at two different locations for horsefeed. Never got a call that my order was in. We go to the store and it would be on the shelf. Ordering system needs an overhaul. Short staffed, but that’s everywhere.

This store needs help with ordering!! If you know dog food Is one of the top selling items at your store, you would think it be kept stocked! Or atleast in the store... You can't get any help you get told whatever proplan we have is on the shelf... but NEVER the kind I need...! I won't be returning because it's a waste of time... Bring Claudia back and that crew!

I want to brag on Luna! She not.only took the greatest care of us during our shopping inquiries! We drove from Newport News to get a chicken coop and 4 baby chickens, not.only did she give us excellent advice and customer service but she went way beyond that! She was running around running the whole store and made sure she took care of every customer. The chicken coop was bigger than we thought and we had to put it in the trunk. We didn't have any straps to tie it down safely. Luna blew my mind, she not only gave us the straps to secure everything safely. She gave us the best advice and was sure to make sure we were safe and secure driving home! Luna has a wonderful personality and made our visit the best!

Okay place. Geared more for farmers than the general public but occasionally helpful. I like the sale tool display and to refill my propane tanks which is primary reason I go there. Tree plants are a higher than competing sellers. They often do not water plants which detracts from store. Store is clean with friendly and helpful employees. Overall I'm glad they are here.

We come here at least once a month for pet and gardening supplies. The employees are always very nice and professional. Our favorite times to come are during chick days and when they have the small animal sales once a month.

Great service all around but I was very impressed with one gent in particular, Jacob R.He helped me on quite a few occasions. But in this particular instance he helped me look for the right foods needed for my animals, when a issued rose up that needed his attention he apologized went and took care of the issue and came right back to help me carry what I had to my vehicle.Was sad to hear he had been let go, due to, from I understand, helping a customer beyond his call of duty.If anyone had a employee that worked as hard as Jacob then that company should be proud to work with them, not fire them for going above and beyond what is expected of them.Not going to stop shopping there but I sure wont be making it my first stop.

I went to the store after researching the gun safes that tractor supply sells, and a young man walks up and said is there anything i can help you with, I asked him if I could see the inside of some of the safes and he said sure thing 👍. He took his time and answered all my questions one on one for a good 45 minutes to an hour. I believe he is a true asset to this company and store. Thank you Cornbread for all your help with the safe.

I used to love this store. The staff was super knowledgeable and helpful, they remembered their regular customers, and they really never let you down. This new management is not living up to any expectations. Maybe the one in Suffolk would be better....

The people are nice at this location but they are always out of Enrich plus and often they run out of the Dog Chow. With the growing number of Equine owners in this area, Tractor Supply should be able to assure that feed is available to customers at any given time. There is an ordering issue here..

OMG!!! I visited this store on Saturday the 10/17 and was instantly greeted by Bee! She was smiling and friendly and was eager to assist me in my adventure! After browsing the store I was impressed with the cleanliness of the store, the organization of the products and the energetic demeanor of the Assist Manager Kristi who was also very eager to assist me!!If you need anything TSC Smithfield is the place to visit!!

Took time out of my day to attend the "meet the new manager" event per the postcard I received only to find the new manager left before the "event" began. I have often wondered what the mind set of the management was....I can never find help in the store and when I have asked for help the attitude was complete inconvenience as my asking. The TSC in Chesapeake is so much friendlier and so much more helpful I think I will drive there once a month to pick up supplies. I had hoped they really wanted feedback and input till I showed up and the manager was gone...with no replacement or explanation. It seems they truly don't care and consider Smithfield a trapped audience.

We called ahead to make sure they had what we needed in stock, got all the information over the phone (warranty information, price, etc). After driving 2 hours, we got there it turns out they didn't have the exact one in stock and had misspoke. We had a DMV appointment we were driving 3 more hours to make to be able to register the trailer we were trying to buy and to be able to take on a trip this weekend so it was a big deal for it to not even be in stock. After talking to to management, they did what they could to make it right by giving us an alternative trailer with a discount. We then went and got it registered making our DMV appointment on time. We then came back late the next day to pick it up. A young man by the name of Charlie helped us get it loaded up and stayed late and after hours to make sure we were all set to go and was a huge help. Although the experience could have gone a lot smoother as they gave us a fairly large amount of misinformation over the phone (in regards to the trailer being in stock and the warranty information), they definitely did everything they could to make up for it and the customer experience (particularly when picking the trailer up) was exceptional.

Love that you can buy vaccines for dogs and dewormer here. Saves you some money if you know how to do it yourself. The employees are generally pretty nice, and it's a plus that people bring their dogs there sometimes.
