My in-laws were in town and we went for a casual dinner at the Smithfield Station. My niece was with us (15yo) who is also deaf. We were blown away when our waitress knew some ASL and was able to communicate with her! My niece gave the waitress her name sign, it was a beautiful moment. Aside from that Amanda was incredible and kept our table of 8 from ever being thirsty or without the many condiments we requested. It was amazing! Always love the view too!

We love this place. Went for the first time to celebrate my Aunt's birthday and the atmosphere was really nice. Food was good, most things we enjoyed, but my cousin didn't care for the fried fish it was a little under seasoned. I enjoyed my dishes. Some things were a hit or miss with our other guests. The pork belly, and crab soup were good.

This place is wonderful! Myself and 16 other ladies met to celebrate birthdays in our circle of sisters. The manager was very accommodating, professional, and friendly. The servers were very patient with our group and considerate of our needs. Thank you so much for such quality food and first-class service.Food & drinks: The mimosa flight was delicious!

Me and my fiancés fav seafood place! The BEST crab dip. We get it every time. Love sitting on the outside deck when the weather is nice. Staff are always friendly. Hotel rooms are simple, clean, sufficient. Nothing fancy. We love this place.

Had dinner at the restaurant today and it was horrible. My sister and I both had the seafood platter. Mine was fried and hers, broiled.Everything was over seasoned and overcooked. The shrimp were dry and chewy, crab cake and scallops overcooked and tasteless. The French fries were too salty. I was so disappointed and upset. I let the waitress know, but she wasn’t to blame.Your establishment must do better. It will be a very long time before, if ever that I visit again.Food & drinks: I already said!

My first time here, I ordered the calabash flounder and it came with two hush puppies, coleslaw and you can pick potatoes or vegetables. Everything was really good, the fish was lightly battered and cooked perfectly. The hushpuppies were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. The coleslaw was really good as well, and our waitress was friendly and attentive, I would come here again.

Stopped by for dinner and was rather impressed. The chef went out of his way to accommodate vegetarian needs and the entire meal was delicious. Beautiful location.

Located in Historic Downtown Smithfield....First, so you won't be disappointed, let me say that reservations are highly recommended and likely required for a weekend and especially for a larger group.FYI: Ramp, they do have a graceful ramp on the far left side of the building, opposite of the restaurant. Handicapped parking is located on both ends of the shoppes and restaurant. We met at "Smithfield Station" for an extended family multi birthday breakfast/brunch early Sunday morning celebration! The location encompasses a lovely restaurant and a variety of guest room choices sitting by the river's edge. The endless windows give way to the picturesque view and homage to days gone by. This is one of our crew's favorite places. Freshly starched white table cloths and napkins set the tone for the treat that awaits you.The atmosphere was social and comfortable. Local patrons were catching up with one another; chatter and light laughter filled the air with glee. The staff? What can I say? They are/were incredible, as usual: friendly, casually polite, well experienced, accomidating, and prompt. We began with hugs and hellos. Then, each of us ordered our juices, coffee, chocolate milk, tea, Mt. Dew, and water. Followed by Grandma saying, The Blessing. upon Amen, like the sound of a starting gate, we quickly scattered to the muktiple serving tables. I began at the sweetly ripened fresh fruit. The food tables were covered in crisp white linens. Petite ham biscuits and pastries attempted to becon me. Warming trays lined another table with an assortment of hot biscuits, gravy, crispy bacon, fresh scrambled eggs, and of coarse, homemade grits. The omlet chef cheerfully created custom masterpieces from a plethora of choices; several meats from crab to ham, crisp sliced or chopped fresh vegetables, cheeses, and more. There were fresh made waffles with any topping I could imagine to fill your heart's desire.Following your meal, be sure to take a moment to relax on the porch. The gentle breeze, rocking chairs, large porch and walkway by the tidal Pagan River and lighthouse. Theyre guarenteed to take you back to a time before the buzz of technology ruled our lives. As you walk the Southern Style porch and dock notice the shore birds, marsh views. You can even spend the night in the lighthouse. There are several great picture taking locations as you step to a slower pace by the river for a moment. 👀 Enjoy!PS bring a sweater jacket in the evening. 😉If you haven't spent time in Historic Smithfield, it's a must see.Route 10 business and Main Street has so much to see and offer.

This boutique hotel is so great. The room is a good size, the furniture is actually useful for a multi-day stay. The bed and towels are cozy and comfortable. The shower is huge! The view is beautiful, legitimately beautiful. There even is a pool that looks great although it was too chilly for us to use. The continental breakfast at the Station's restaurant is so great, their sausage is amazing and even has one of those giant waffle irons that you see at Hiltons. It is just minutes from super charming downtown Smithfield. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with lots of pig statues around town...check it out.

This was an adorable town. The hotel was great. The restaurant attached had great food. The staff super friendly. The only downfall is the parking here and someone hit my front driver side panel. Popped it off but we were able to pop it back on. And will have to get it repainted. When we were parking a huge truck pulled in and tried to park. It was kind of ridiculous watching him try to squeeze into a spot.

Smithfield Station....!? What can I say? Well, the service did an ok job. The dinner party I was in was pretty large (20 or more people)...on the other hand the food... I will for the cost and the hype, it was a disappointment. I ordered the calabash oysters. It came with Cole slaw ( barely had anything in it to break down the firm texture of the cabbage and no seasoning to over power the raw bitterness of the natural cabbage). But the 2 waitresses we had I believe that it was a bit overwhelming for them, yet they had great manners, professional and kept up as best they could with all the orders. So, I would give them a try perhaps in the future. The location was beautiful and for the occasion...my grandmother's 94 birthday celebration, well my grandmother was pleased just to have the crowd of family and friends celebrating her on that Saturday 4pm gathering. So, overall because my dear grandmother who is in the picture, enjoyed herself... SMITHFIELD STATION achieved enough this round! Great Job.. yet, until next time my review will be more precise and clean cut.

I live in town and haven't eaten here in ~ 10 years. I got the boom boom shrimp, fries and fish tacos. The boom shrimp was over-cooked/fried. The fries were over-cooked. The fish tacos were very bland. I had to add salt amd mambo sauce to give it flavor. Over-priced meal @ $40+tip. Next time I'll go to Bone Fish or another restaurant for a decent taco/meal. I was hoping the food had improved in ~ 10 years.

I only planned to stay Saturday night and enjoy the Breakfast Buffet with family the following morning. To my surprise my boat broke down when we were departing. The Fuel pump went out. I had to wait 4 days for the part. They were very understanding and never charged me for the extra days. My wife and I enjoyed Breakfast, Lunch's and Dinners and all were excellent! Thanks again Smithfield Station for your hospitality!Walkability: Easy excess to downtown Smithfield where you will find various shops and things to keep you busy.

The room was very clean, room service everyday - something of a rarity these days and free breakfast on Saturday. Breakfast has eggs and bacon so it is not a continental breakfast as stated online. If you stay in the hotel, there is an elevator. If you stay over top of the restaurant, you must walk the stairs and deal with restaurant staff as you come and go to your room...disappointing. The parking lot is gravel made from crushed oyster shells and it will get everywhere! The dust will destroy your car inside and out, coat your shoes and leave tracks everywhere you go. Good luck parking if the restaurant or shops are busy. Our room had a mini fridge, tea kettle and coffee pot but no microwave. We had to go down a floor to use the community microwave, also disappointing. If we stay again, I will make sure we don't sleep over the restaurant. We ate at the restaurant and it was good but not near as good as Wharf Hill Brewing down the street. We missed an in-room microwave, beds were very comfortable and shower amenities, soap and towels, were exceptionalFood & drinks: Wharf Hill Brewing for lunch and dinner. Coffee Cube for coffee. Yummaries for desserts - all the way!

This is a small buffet-style restaurant surrounded by water & hotel (attached). It's a pretty relaxed environment. Staff are on-site to make omelet/scrambled eggs to order. If it's busy, it may be a line to get through the buffet, but the staff & locals have been pleasant EACH time I went. You can also just order from the menu, if you want to bypass the buffet line! Overall, I had a great experience & I would definitely go back!! On a busy day, you may have to park across the street, but the experience is worth it.

We stayed here for the second time. The 1st time the 3rd floor King with oversized shower. The second time with a jacuzzi tub. Problem was the tub was way too small. I’m a bit taller and it was too short for me. Views are pretty, staff friendly. The balcony was very nice. The bed wasn’t very comfy. Room was clean and spacious. My only knock is the CONSTANT air fragrance being blown in the lobby. We both have asthma/allergies. It gave us a headache. It gave my husband a runny nose. Not everyone can handle smells. When we checked out there were two infusers going. Unfortunately, with the fragrance I don’t think we will come back.

Staying at Smithfield Station was a lovely experience. At check-in the front desk associate was friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming. She even blessed my son with a bag full of goodies when she learned it was his birthday weekend. The room was really spacious, nice and clean. We enjoyed the exercise room, wine shop and on-site restaurant. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

Love this place! We stayed on the top floor. It was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and having a fireplace was great! Ordered the Smithfield ham biscuits and they were waiting in our room when we arrived... delicious! The views are gorgeous and it's just down the street from Main Steet (shopping and food). The restaurant on site is also great. Will definitely be back!

I ordered take out after being at winery up the road and menu looked pretty extensive and good with lots of seafood options. I ordered the seafood lasagna rolls which had shrimp and crab. However when I got home to eat, I discovered that the shrimp tails were left on. This is not done in any type of lasagna etc. was surprised bout this
