Got the groceries, got good parking but why does it generally smell like a carpet is being roasted with fish guts crammed into it? It's always this weird fishy-carpet-on-fire smell. I've actually had to leave the place because the smell was so overwhelming.I've tried returning but it really is a gamble. I really do feel like I'm in Vegas when I step in. Will I be nauseated? Will I be able to complete my shopping? Hmm. It's kind of exciting if you think about it!

Came to do my weekly shopping, I got up to the register and realized I left my wallet in my truck. The lines were kind of long so I pushed my cart by the customer service desk. I let the associate know that I would be right back inside as I left my wallet in my truck and to please not let anyone take it. After I got my wallet I came back inside, the young gentleman working at customer service register asked Keshawn (I'm almost positive I did not spell that right) to grab my cart and put it behind the desk with him. I wish I had gotten the young man's name behind the register. We all laughed about it because I didn't want them to think that I was just leaving a basket full of groceries and not come back. While I was walking to my truck, Keshawn ran over and grabbed my cart, he told me that he was going to assist me today. I didn't know how to react because I've never had my cart pushed out for me lol. He helped me unload everything. I just wanted to give kudos to him and his friend at the register, definitely outstanding young men! I felt terrible that I did not have any cash on me, but I come in quite frequently so I told him I would get up with him next time I was there. I'm not one to normally leave reviews but I felt like today was definitely a good day to do so 🙂

To be honest. The employees who stock don't let people shop. They block all the isles and don't let people by. I understand they have a job to do.... but remember there are other people in there too. We should all be aware of each other and be a team

Staff is Friendly and Store is cleaner, better stocked, and has the BEST prices - compared to the Kroger across the street. The Staff are all hard working and helpful, and have been working there for years, which says a lot about the store.

Great curbside! Loaders And shoppers always sweet and pack everything nicely for drive back to country. Remember to tip them. They work really hard!

After a last minute mix up I was left without Cupcakes for my girlfriend's 30th Surprise Birthday Party. I called Kroger and they stated they couldn't help me because they had no Decorator. I Drove to Food Lion and went to the bakery. There I met Shasara. I told her my plight and that I planned on proposing to my girlfriend during her party. Although Food Lion also didn't have a Decorator at work, Shasara offered to make 48 fresh cupcakes and put whipped icing on them. She saved the party and the Engagement! Shasara is the BEST!

Will not come back had to ring up my own groceries. I don't work here I don't want to work here. I had at least 3 employees watching to make sure I did it correctly. Suggestion use those employees to do the work.

The staff here at this location are friendly and helpful. The self check out is convenient but the lines are never too long if you need a cashier(which I prefer.) Their produce section is always stocked and the aisles are kept clean. Overall this is a well run grocery store!

If I could give 1/2 stars I'd go with 3.5 stars. Decent store, clean, but a bit dated. Selection is hit or miss, staff is courteous.

We usually shop here if Kroger is closed. However, that will no longer be the case after tonight. We experienced the worst customer service from Catherine that we ever have since living in Smithfield. I would rather plan to go to Kroger earlier than to deal with the lack of customer service we experienced in one night.

Do not shop there. The floor manager will let you get hurt. Promise to help you to get your purchase our because his frozen food department had to ice my foot down. Waiting for him to help as promised. When I found him he was on poise for a worker that he obviously knows. I'm very old and tired of the I don't care generation. I had to post one star I give them a bit of a star

Close to home and work and usually they have exactly what I'm looking for. Even in these crazy times when you're not always sure what will be missing in the grocery store THIS time, they do a really good job of keeping the shelves stocked. Plenty of sales and someone's always available to answer questions.

Pregnant women with a 3 year old. Workers gathering together laughing at my child and telling me, “maybe you should pay attention to your child then she won’t be so loud and disturb the store.” They laughed and pointed. Rude. Disrespectful. Disgusting.

Very nice employees. I like this store since the completion of the remodeling.i just wish you would carry mine and my husband's favorite cereals. I like whole wheat total and my husband likes whole wheat grain berry with sorghum .

I love Food Lion but i wish they had more Gluten Free products to choose from. I can never find Gluten Free Oatmeal, Gluten Free Lean Cuisine, Gluten Free bread. Why don't they have a Gluten Free section with all Gluten Free products? That would be the greatest thing since slice bread!

This food lion has reasonable prices, especially considering the apparent lack of competition in the area. It is mid renovations, causing it to have bare concrete flooring currently, and the store feels a little close and cramped, however hopefully this will be corrected with the renovations. There is on-site parking with convenient wheelchair parking spaces near the entrance. It was a little busy around 3:30 so it could be worth it to try to shop at an atypical time.

This is where I buy 95% of my groceries. Today, there was a lot of food out of stock, which was a bit abnormal. That's likely a sign of the times. I think the produce section can be laid out a bit more efficiently, but I'm not in the grocery business, so I'm probably wrong.
