My husband and I were in a tight bind and thankfully this campground had last minute availability for us. It’s nice and quiet and very clean. Frank, the manager is on site and he was extremely helpful and one of the nicest person we’ve ever met. We’d 100% come back here based off our experience with Frank alone, true southern hospitality right there. Forget 5/5, more like 10/10 we can’t wait to come visit again!

This campground is so nice, we are full time while we build our home and we have had nothing but a great experience so far!!! The campground host are the NICEST couple in the world! They will always lend a hand no matter what! They are truly the best. Very warm welcome from everyone. If you are just passing thru this place is GREAT! Or if you need to stay a few nights I would definitely give Cattail Creek a call they are absolutely amazing 🤩 10 stars!!!

This is a campground as the name implies, not a resort.We camped in our 35' motorhome towing a car. Our site, C2 was level and long enough so didn't have to disconnect the car, big plus. We were staying one night so it was fine for us.The sites are hard packed with some grass. Most sites are wooded, ours was in the open, fine with me I don't like being in the trees.Water pressure was a little low but sufficient.Traveling I95 N, google GPS took exit 180 to avoid back tracking. This route leads to a very narrow road for about a mile. Next exit and backing maybe better.The manager was friendly and helpful. Stop back to make sure we were all set.I would stop here again while traveling.Playground: Appears to have a basketball hoop and some sort of a climbing apparatus.Restrooms: Did not use

Stayed 23Feb/22. It’s A little ways off the main highway but with that distance came peace and quiet and one of the most peaceful nights of our journey. The hook ups were well situated and worked well. We were hooked up in minutes. The site was clean too. We arrived late and left early the next day, so we never met the owners but they let us do the reservation and payment over the phone. Would definitely recommend!

this rv park is a calm, silent place, in the morning you feel the noise of the birds and it is a beautiful sensation. The landscape is very beautiful, nature at its best. Mr. Frank, the manager here, is very friendly and is always attentive to his campers.

We’ve been here since May, and will be here thru November. We love it! Off the beaten path, in the best way possible. Far enough from 95 that you hear zero road noise and there is hardly no light pollution. Super quiet campground, well kept and maintained. Frank & Sandy are some of the most friendly & accommodating people I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing! The grounds are pet friendly, and our pups absolutely love running their hearts out in the “back yard” beside the shop. We have had no issues sending or receiving mail/packages the entire time. Close to Emporia & Roanoke Rapids as well. If you want someplace where you’ll be able to relax peacefully, this is it! See you guys soon!

My husband will be there for several months working on a construction site in the area. I feel very safe knowing he is there and am thankful to the owners and staff for the opportunity for him to be there. Cattail Creek you are a great home away from home!If you saw my previous post about yellow flies and rundown, that was my very childish response to a very long, very hot, very frustrating day! If you have ever moved a camper in the rain and 100 plus heat, you understand. The campground is small but the staff did everything they could to accommodate us, even at the last minute...and in the rain! It is not run down but well kept. I was thinking that the office there was open and there were laundry facilites. That was my misunderstanding. In the end we got exactly what we were promised and more!Thank you!!

Friendly helpful staff. Very quiet. All hookups including 50amp service. Access is a bit far from the I95 down a winding narrow road. We arrived after dark, so it was difficult finding the place as google maps was grossly incorrect.

Very disappointed. My husband and I both tried to contact the three numbers to reserve a site for the weekend. We left messages. This was done on Monday 08/22/2022. As of Wednesday no one has bothered to return our calls. So we have made other plans. They must not need the customers.

This campground was wonderful. The owner are very personable and helpful. Very quiet, yet full hookups for newer RV’s. I would definitely recommend this campground as a stop over to all that are traveling south from New England.

Secluded and pet friendly. The driveway is kept up and yard is mowed regularly. Parking is tight in the back beside the metal building [closest spot has plenty of room but next 2 over are really tight] if you have 2 vehicles but not impossible. My kids enjoy the grassy area and riding bikes on the rock driveway. It would be nice to have a swingset and slide added in the future. Nice place and close to I95 and 3 truck stops that have McDonald's, IHOP, dunkin donuts and i think theres a subway. 20 min to roanoke rapids nc where there are grocery stores, Wal-Mart, and a nice selection of dining.

I’m in Virginia for work and I paid the deposit for the lot to stay in and the day before arriving was told that he couldn’t help us because my wife and I have 3 kids, that his site isn’t set up to have that many people at one site and that it’s a campground not a mobile home park. If you have kids this isn’t the campground for you. They aren’t allowed. (We did receive our deposit back thankfully)

No dumster for trash u have to hall your own trash off. Good cell phone service but not good internet. Know office . It is a nice place real shady.
