Worst store ever. I really don’t like going into this store, but it’s the only one within 5 miles so we shop here. After today though, I may not come back. They got remodeled and although the things they added were a great addition, you can’t walk the isle!!! If the place is busy, you’ve got to wait for a shopper to move the carts in the isles to get what they need and then you can enter to get what you need or back out the isle because someone else is waiting. Absolutely horrendous place to shop. About half the store or more is covered in carts like you see in the photos.Dollar general you need to either pay your ppl more to get the work done or hire more ppl to get the work done.

The people that work here are great! but this store has not been properly staffed since I moved here in 2022. Whatever regional manager is over this store needs to allow more budget for people to work here. Too much product on the sales floor, on carts, in aisles, tripping over things, it's a safety hazard. People aren't paid enough and have to deal with lines 9 and 10 people deep.

Dollar General is unfortunately, a complete necessity in Shenandoah which is why I hate leaving a bad review for it. I'm sure Shenandoah residents remember the days of riding all the way up to Food Lion when you just needed a loaf of bread, toilet paper, or another necessity and god forbid if you forgot something. That being said, this store is a complete mess. Boxes and carts everywhere. You can't even walk down any of the aisles because of all the carts and junk blocking it. Everything is so unorganized and since there's stuff all over the floor, it could become a tripping hazard. I don't know what needs to happen to improve this store, possibly more employees? I would be nice to walk in and see the store clean for once. Someone definitely needs to step in and take charge.Only two cash registers and no self-checkout either.

I left my kids in the car to run in and get the two items I needed.. what should've taken 5 min tops took me 25 min because there was a line of 12 people and only one cashier. Obviously customers couldn't get upset with the one cashier for doing the best and quickest job he could've possibly done.. I just feel like in such a small town where the dollar general is one of the few stores available to get stuff.. they should have had more than one available cashier.

This is the most unorganized store I’ve ever been in. Always cluttered and messy. Isles are always full of boxes that need unpacked. Shelves are always messy. There can be 3 employees in the store with one register open with a line of people waiting. Either they have employees who just don’t care or they don’t have enough help. Unfortunately this is pretty much the only store in Shenandoah to shop. You would think they would try a little harder to make the store easier to shop in.

This store is one of the better stores in our area but I do have a complain it's not against this store personally it's to do with all of your Dollar General and it's your coupons the majority of the time they don't work I feel they are miss leading because your offering discounts and then they dont work I my self as a customer would appreciate if your company would fix this problem in all of your stores other than this issue I'm a happy customer. Thank you for your service.

They really need to give people hrs so they can get that store cleaned up and stock them shelves. Everytime i go there you cant get thru the illes cause of boxes sitting and blocking so you cant walk thru with your cart. I like the store, but need lot of organization for sure.

This store has become empty again. Loads of boxes sitting in aisles.Nothing out away. Store is dirty. When this store was remodeled it was great but whoever is management now has let this store get right back in same shape. I will travel to Elkton.

On the general side a pretty clean and ok place. On the other hand with this pandemic it is just another place that has signs posted about face masks and refuses to make customers wear them as well as employees barely wear them. Sadly as someone who cant be too safe when it comes to this pandemic I have had to stop coming here.

My first time to visit this location and it was very nice. Friendly employees and a clean store. If it's hot outside stop by and get a cold cold drink. I don't know any other place with colder drinks my hands turns red holding them they was so good.

Always crowded in the aisles with cartons to be unloaded. Shelves are bare many times. Employees are very friendly and helpful.

It feels like the twilight zone when you walk in the store.They are always out of our dog or our cat food ,so we love the Elkton store they always have what we want.The workers are slot more friendly.

The shelves are empty, everything is packed in boxes on carts in the middle of the floor. When you do find something that is actually on the shelf (which is rare), you can't get to it because there's a cart in your way.

This dollar General in Shenandoah Va, is the nastiness, store I have ever seen, Easter day most of the store, was blocked from one end to the other, with carts, it is a disaster waiting to happen, , I wanted a pair of flip flops, couldn't even get into where shoes were, , something needs to be done, only store ,our little town has, and it could be a nice place to shop, corporate office needs to investigate

Love the in and out service of Dollar General stores. May be a little more expensive than Walmart, but there's usually no waiting in line and it's convenient.
