Had a great experience on Saturday May 4th! There was only one cashier and he was having to go back and forth between two registers depending on how customers were paying. He never lost his cool and was very friendly with each customer. He was willing to go above and beyond to help each person. I don’t know his name but DG yall better pay him his worth! He is a remarkable young man and a hard worker!

If I could give the store no stars I would it doesn't deserve one it it is it is a serious fire safety hazard there has to be at least a month worth of stock stacked around to the top of the shelves I literally got trapped in a corner There's trash all over the floors it looks like animals work there I'm embarrassed to even call it my local Dollar General or general totally disgusting! Don't be surprised if you get a visit from the fire Marshal. Perfect opportunity for someone looking for a lawsuit!! Lol

I know they have had customer service / employee disappointments in the recent past. Tonight I went in and was greeted as I walked inThree employees were there and all seemed friendly.Hopefully they will continue to improve.

Since this store turned over a new manager, there have been pallets of goods stacked at the end of every isle when you go there, making it impossible to maneuver carts. I regularly shop here so this was unusual.The people that work there are always diligently working to put stuff away and ring up customers, which makes customers have a difficult shopping experience because we have to wait longer in line.When I asked what the problem is and to speak to a manager, one of the workers said the manager was on lunch break and had been for over two hours.They also don't honor signage discounts apparently, so watch how much you're spending as your items are being rung up.

Friendly staff. Good choices, but why do all dollar generals, regardless of age or size, have such a difficult job keeping store clean and easy to maneuver without stock carts and other items all over? This is an overall complaint- not just THIS one, but all in my area (4)

EDIT:: I went again yesterday on 10/15/2017 and I had to wait a good 5 minutes at the front counter for a worker to even come up to it. Pretty upset. She did not even apologize. I am taking a star away.Previously:: The front counter people have always been extremely friendly here. Recently, the store looked as if it was out of many products. I'm not sure if they are remodeling or what was going on, however any product that someone would want may have only been one in stock or none. They are getting four stars because of this. Previous times we have been there they have had plenty of stock, however a couple of days ago they basically had nothing. There were a lot of empty shelves. The food area was full, but the cleaning supply area was not.

Lousy stock. High prices for junky stuff.***updated: scare stock at all. All of the aisles are so cluttered with random stock on carts and carts full of merchandise that it's no wonder the shelves are bare. Every time I try to go in there I can't find a single thing that is what I'm looking for at a reasonable price. It's downright sad. Before they moved to the new building, the store downtown was clean, well stocked and had super employees. Since Marion and the other ladies from downtown left it's been rough. Now that Stephanie is gone there's no hope...walk in and you see the cashier on her cell phone screaming and more trash in the aisles than product on the shelves. Extremely disappointed in the Dollar General.

Has anyone every tried to take anything back??? Well I did. Alarm clock put the batteries in it didn’t work tried to take it back. They said we needed a receipt who keeps all the receipts not us.

I wish this store had a better parking lot and was kept more tidy. It has the basics and I like that. They also have a Redbox out front. I gave it 3 stars because it wasn't very clean, and I had to wait a while for someone to come to the register. Maybe they're understaffed.

They are understaffed and the manager is the rudest person. The girls that work in here are great. Never really smiling but can't blame them with there boss treating them so bad. There is always product that is still in boxes because the employees are to busy doing every thing.

This store has been rather messy at times! But lately this store is disgusting!!! A serious disaster!!! With boxes and carts in just about every aisle...no buggy's bc there all full with merchandise. Don't go in unless you have to!!!

The shelves are all the time empty. They need people just to stock and people who are just cashier's. The store manager isn't the friendliest you have to make him speak to you.The lady cashier's are more opt to be customer friendly than men.

I cant remember there being a time i became saddend just by walking inside an establishment but every time i visit this one that does very well happen. The staff turn over is incredible. There is almost never the same face each time you enter the store. but if you are looking for basic house hold necessities such as household cleaners, laundry detergent ,kitchem utensils paper products, prepay cell phones cards or to reload a debit card.the this is your place.

Got everything I needed, but I had coupons that I was supposed to use, and it was my first tome uploading them to the DG app, the cashiers were so busy talking to each other that they never asked me to put my number in the pin pad... I ended up way over paying for my cart. Then the woman behind my cashier commented “ oh I don’t think she’s prepared to pay that, maybe she is.” I was getting much needed items with my 3 year old son, and i just had my newborn baby- was trying to get out of the house... annoying experience.

The staff here was the friendliest of any dollar store I have been too. Most of them I have had an issue with them redeeming coupons. Not here! They were very helpful with everything.

If I could give less than zero I would avoid this at all times. We were regulars for a long time. Whoever is the new staff care more about going outside to smoke with their friends and harassing patrons than anything else. Will drive the extra 30 mins to the Dillwyn store then ever return. Hung up when asked cashiers name to tell their corporate office. Says alot of how they treat their patrons. In 14 years of service industry I'm shell shocked

Filthy mess, but that's most of the DG stores.... They need to hire more staff and get these stores cleaned and put on shelves so you can find it...I love the prices, but it's a chore going in and hunting for what you need. I usually buy my stuff at higher prices at food lion to keep from going in Dollar General...

The customer service was great but the store is so unorganized, feels filthy and the essential stock is very limited. Also, the parking lot is trashy. This is one of newer stores and its been neglected.

Dirty, disorganized, wild, dangerous parking lot. Shoppers took handicapped marked spaces with no placard. Not a good place to be on a Saturday evening.
