I am a special education teacher the Middlesex High School and one of my jobs is to successfully place students with special needs into the workforce.The manager Summer and Tracy have been nothing but supportive and willing to work with my students. They have brought my students in like family and they look forward to going to work everyday.They have taught the students about accountability, responsibility, and looking professional at work on a daily basis.Thank you all for your support with our students and helping to make our community a positive and more inclusive place for everyone.Clark

I am a handicap person. My husband was in the truck waiting for me. He pulled up with truck running and help me unload the cart. The manager came out and told us this is no parking. I told her that we are not parked but unloading. And I am handicap. She said there is handicap parking over there. Points to handicap parking. I again attempt to explain. Finally I told her to go away and leave us alone. Sad that someone handicap or not is treated with such disregard. We stop every weekend for camping for our supplies. We will not be coming back to that store. I will also tell anyone who will listen about the treatment I received there.

Been coming through this store for a year now on my way down to VB/NC for a food and pit stop. Love this store!The grocery store was just right in the nick of time! I had been driving for an hour+ before find a place to "stretch my legs" and do some duty and luckily for me, I found this food lion before I was about to evacuate on the side of the road. The folks at the checkout were nice and everyone was smiling under their masks. Will stop here again next time I pass through!

This store needs upper staff training in customer service and how to present a comfortable shopping experience. I've heard management and supervisors be rude to employees in front of customers. Multiple times. It made me very uncomfortable to hear them gossip as well. Your customers don't need to hear this. No matter what the problem is keep it private. And stop smoking outside the entrance doors please! It's rude having to walk through the employee smoking lounge and gab fest at the left entrance. This store wouldn't do very well if they had more competition. Many of the staff here are hard working and should be treated with more respect. Take care of your good people. They're the only reason many of us keep coming back. And no one likes to witness mean spirited behavior.

I was very surprised when I got to checkout the cashier took all red meat from me said signs all over store saying limit 2 packs of red meat per customer I didn't see them. I spent over $300 for a months worth of groceries yet only allowed 2 packages of red meat for a family of 3. The price of gas is high so I make 1 trip a month now how can I split one package of hamburger 🍔 and one package of ribs for us all. I think the stores should consider the purchase rather than limits when one is purchasing a months worth of food. Just my opinion.

We are cruising the Chesapeake and presently in Urbanna Virginia for a month. We provisioned at the local Food Lion in Saluda and had a tremendous experience! The selection of all our favorite food from fruits and vegetables to meats and seafood was top notch! We stick to a mostly Mediterranean diet and were more than pleased with the wide variety of choices of both ethnic foods and more traditional American fare. And the prices! Our lowest weekly bill all summer.And I'd like to give a shout out to our cashier Emily... professional, courteous and friendly! We will be back!

Store is stocked and the staff is mostly friendly. Its great if you don't want to take home all your food or if you love taking two trips to the store. Everytime I've gone they have left a bag out and I had to return for the rest of my items.

Store is the cleanest store I've ever seen. Produce is always fresh and pleasing in appearance as well as taste. The aisles are not crowded and are wide enough for two or three people to get through. The cashiers are friendly, polite and helpful. I have met 2 of the mangers and they are kind and their cashiers seem to love them. This Food Lion store is the best one I've ever been in. There is a Food Lion nearby but I would rather travel the extra miles to visit the Saluda store.

It's amazing how sometimes associates take customer service personally , in a bad way. My point is on a large order with a price correction of around the amount of $5 off. The difference between (management material) and (just an associate) is - that an associates thinks it's coming out of their pocket and are snippy and rude about delivering customer service (sometimes).You know who you are ...management generally takes care of the customer unless it's truly unreasonable. I learned that lesson a long time ago.

I went with my daughter to purchase a birthday cake yesterday. 5 of the cashiers were standing around talking about a customer who used cards that each had 100.00 dollars on them then had the nerve to pull out a handful of coupons. And "she is known as the coupon lady" quoted one of them Like it was so discussing of her. I thought Foodlion was happy to see and have all customers, not the impression they gave. I don't appreciate them talking openly about customers while a customer is standing there.

Love the store but MVP IS A JOKE . PRICES ON MOST ARE TO HIGH . SURE A CHAIN SUCH AS,YOUR SELF COULD DO BETTER . Fail!!! Multiple incorrectly priced signs that over charge shoppera, EVEN when using their saving card and visible prices on products. And the loud blasting trash music in the parking lot... could have done without that noise pollution.

Overall it's a well stocked store... I left work early to give myself time to get groceries....spent 45 minutes going thru store...45 minutes in line on a Monday 300pm.Left my cart full of food in the line. What a waste of time.
