Just had a visit to Food Country. Excellent as always. Every employee is amazing. Shout out to the guys in the meat department. Cody and Alex are awesome as always. Don't buy meat anywhere else. They are always helpful and very nice. Also go see Cindy in produce for all your produce needs. She is great and very helpful. Jeff the manager is great. Never a bad visit!

Limited selection of groceries, often frozen foods are not good (ice cream on two recent occasions, frozen sausage patties on another occasion), the store is clean, the quality of the food is below average and prices are higher than competitors.

It’s not fancy and doesn’t carry a lot of produce however blue berries were $2.50 a pint and it’s convenient. Friendly staff.

They jack up prices because they know the majority of people in town are on fixed incomes and have no cars to get to a decent store. They also jack up prices because they know people will go there instead of driving 20+ miles out of the way to a better store. They also try to sneak in out of date items on their customers to make a dime. I’ve bought at least 3 cakes with mold on them before I wised up. Don’t believe me? Then see for yourself.

Food Country is a nice and clean store where the staff is helpful and knowledgeable about where items are. They try and help you find the items you need or want. It has a good selection of items in their dollar isle as well. And their produce is pretty fresh as well. But the meats is my favorite part of the store. Fresh ground beef and nice cut steaks. Thinking about it makes me wanna go shopping. Lol

I never will go to this place again! I've lived here for over 3 yearsan shopped there every week ,until this past weekend. This woman accused my wife of stealing an we had three buggies full of groceries. My wife showed her her bag an she looked in it an saw there was nothing in it she did not apologize or anything just kept saying well your not from around here. My wife asked her several times why she thought we would steal something she had no answer , so I would advise people that shop there to be aware that could have been you. An I would ask the people that are doing the accusing to be sure of who you call out, an apologize when your wrong!

Clean store. Decent selection on most thing but not all. Employees it's a 50/50 on wether they're friendly & knowledgeable or if they'll be on the phone & snarky/rude for the younger ones.

Clean store. Cashiers nice. But prices are more than I'm used to. This is a store I go to if I need something & don't want to travel 30 minutes to Walmart. Expect to pay more for everything.

I went to the one in glade spring...and the people who work there always make me and my family feel welcome and like we are at home here....the items are a lil pricey but that's what ya get in a small town store...Over all I would definitely recommend this place just because it's a great place to shop

Would give it zero if I could. Meat is old (marked one with ink, was still there a week later). Manager seems to have other priorities as the roof leaks. Have 7 check out lines but only 2 are ever open creating long wait times. Closes at 9 on Sundays but quits early (8:45). Couldn't find bigger pos if I worked for a septic company.

Over priced, produce selection isn't very good, seems to have gone down hill lately. Everyone use to be so friendly felt like a hometown store, now there is one maybe two people left that make it nice to shop there.

Saltville store is the worst Food Country I've even been in, their staff is great however their manager does not do a good job, many many things don't get stock kept up and I don't think k he even really cares.

Only grocery store in saltville. Prices are way too high. Many elderly people have a limited income no way to shop anywhere else so they must pay far too much for their food

Aside from your Pistachio and Orange Watergates, I would rather shop 10 miles away at Food City. Ya'll's stuff is usually out of date and buying any WIC items from you is a nightmare.

Excellent meat department, clean and the case is always stocked. If I have a particular request as to have something cut all I have to do is ask! Very professional!!!

The people in the store need stop judging people when they've been going there for years and they know you're not going to steal instead of judging and being hateful and stop being so lazy about working I know a lot of people including me would love to have a job like that not doing much manual work

Great place for pickup of urgent food stuff. Selection is limited & prices are high. The people working there are super nice & I enjoy going there.
