It is always good to run across a Kroger store when you are traveling. This store is located in a strip shopping center that has several very active stores in it. It became like a one-stop shopping area for us today.The produce was fresh and the selection was very good.We found this store had a good selection of meat and dairy products as well.

Shopping at Salem Kroger was a little challenging in getting around the store due to sitting carts filled with cardboard and goods. (See photos) All else was great. All the associates i noted were working hard stocking, checking out or helping customers. A few shelves I noted were somewhat empty. At checkout, a cart filled with 50 cent Reeses, Hershey etc candy packs was rolled out, and a run on the cart ensued! Check out was easy and accurate, with all digital coupons automatically being honored.

Usually has what we need, but there are times when common items are out of stock or hard to locate. Unfortunately, it's not what it was a year or two ago. It is less organized and less clean. Displays are not as nice looking as they could be.Great sale and clearance items that are unique to the store, so that makes up for some of the disorganization.

Even from the parking lot, employees are there to greet you! There was one young man collecting carts to push them inside the store, he had such positive energy to ask how I was doing. Inside the store, the clerks were so nice too, and even customers were greeting me, this is a place where everyone is nice!

When utilizing the online pickup , you get some of the worst produce and meats you could imagine. Today, an onion slightly larger than a golf ball and zucchini and squash smaller than my hand and along with our peppers, practically expired. This is embarrassing. The choices in store are not usually much better. We have received rancid meat (within date) multiple times as well which is completely unacceptable. Also, the bathroom in the store is also disgusting every time. How the employees can even stand to use it is beyond me. The management of this store is absolutely terrible. Your customers deserve so much better. I do like to give credit where it is due though, Tom in the meat department is the most helpful and attentive employee I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with during my visits and always makes sure customers get the best of the best!

Awful management and very unprofessional. Wouldn’t recommend anyone getting a job here. They treat their employees like dirt and want to fire them for no reason. Will never shop here again

Store is dingy in need of a remodel. We’ve NEVER had a pickup order ready when we have arrived even after being notified it was ready and absorbently long wait lines for the pharmacy. Incompetency , perks of a multi million dollar company.

This Kroger used to be the best but it’s been going downhill for more than a year. Recently, I came to the store and was met by a teen employee telling everyone walking in that the store was closing in 30 minutes. Throughout the store I was reminded by other teen employees that I needed to hurry.Today I tried using the drive thru to pick up an RX but was told they don’t have the staff to operate it. That was especially frustrating since I didn’t have time to walk in the store with a toddler.

Over the course of the last two years, the pharmacy's poor customer service has made me hate this store. Late refills requiring constant phone calls to push and cajole; unreliable drive-through service; and most recently - in a move that I think is extremely unfriendly to the disabled - a change in drive-through policy that requires any customer picking up medications that won't fit through the pneumatic tube to go into the store for pick-up. Previously, pharmacy staff would walk such orders out through a door right next to the drive-through window. It only took a few seconds. I'd be willing to pay a service charge for that service but that is not an option. I am now looking to switch my prescriptions elsewhere.

I cannot say enough things about this Kroger! They are so friendly and always helpful! I feel bad because I know the pharmacy is very shorthanded; they have long lines and can’t keep the drive-through open. My only suggestion to them would be to try to get more people on the pharmacy side employed. Otherwise the store is A+ 100 great 👍🏼

Worst Kroger in the Valley. Out of date product consistently (especially dairy section), produce is not edible most of the time (slimy or bugs), lanes not open most of the time, no buggies, etc. Got Romaine Lettuce week before last and it was full of bugs. Attempted to return and no one working Customer Service (finally screen shot the pack. it took 3 visits before there was someone in Customer Service to help me). Went to buy another pack a week later and could see it was full of bugs as well. Serious problem somewhere.

The Spartan Square location is fantastic place to shop. Even though I live closer to Lakeside I'd rather drive across town to shop there instead. The front end staff are so friendly and helpful. There's a decent selection in there. As a strict vegetarian, they have a good frozen section in addition to a nice produce area.

The produce and meat here are continuously inedible. Even when going by expiration date and overall appearance, I have come home DOZENS of times to open a package of meat or bagged vegetables to find they are either moldy, soggy, or rotten. Just came home again today and opened a bag of green beans to find they are soggy and covered in gray slime. It costs me more money to drive back out to the store and replace what I just came home with. Do better.

It's not the fanciest Kroger in the Valley, but it is one of the nicest to shop in, because so many of the employees are so friendly and helpful. The produce is fresh and the meat is great, too. Many of the best parking spaces are taken up by their online shopping program, which has caused me to leave and shop elsewhere more than once.

Yes, parking is a big issue at this location, especially since they are under construction and those spots are being taken up. However, I love the personal attention I always get from the clerks, especially Syretta. She is the most professional, friendly and helpful person there! I will definitely keep shopping here and I look forward to a finished store that I can finally find everything!

I'll break it down by their services:Parking: not enough when incredibly busy (ie. When the forecast predicts snow), but enough for regular days most of the time.Clicklist: used them several times, only once was a bad experience. Getting produce is hit and miss though.Scan and Go: loved it. Made shopping faster and easier, especially at checkout. If you do it regularly, invest in a full cart-sized, divided, reusable bag from Amazon. They just started it this weekend (2/9/19) and had plenty of staff available to help.The store itself is usually well stocked, their meat and deli are great, and the layout makes sense. Their app is wonderful, especially for coupons that you can load directly onto your rewards card.

I can have a bad delivery at other Kroger stores that put me in a bad mood but as soon as I get to this one for a delivery the people are so great that it just makes me feel so much better.

I was looking forward to a nice salad off of your new salad bar tonight for the first time, but when I got to the salad bar, your employee had already removed all of the serving utensils and about half of the items off of the bar were loaded onto a cart. I asked her "what time does the salad bar close?" She said 8 o'clock. When I looked at my cell phone, it was 7:44 !!!I won't be back since my first try was such a disappointment. If the salad bar closes at 8pm, it should be available until 8pm. Shouldn't it???

Has some of the things walmart doesn't. Staff for self check out was very rude to me and I feel like it was because im clearly hispanic and the teenager working that night with a blue stripe flag mask decided to be outwardly rude to me, but super nice to white customers in other self check out lanes. If you're a person of color, be careful because this can ruin your day :(

They could have some friendlier people. Management grouping out to the side. Cashier take care of stuff. Never seen store Mgr.!!!!.I go in there a lot. 3 it 4 x a day. Mgrs up front isn't nice to the people. Kinda like they're beneath them. Thought today, this place is going to be hurting soon if some doesn't do something soon. People aren't happy there. 😠 sorry for just negative but it's like my best store. I'm hoping someone sees this and checks on it.

On this visit, I was looking for one of the items included in the 3 day sale. There were none in the display case. I asked the young man working the self check area if they did substitutes or rainchecks and he said he thought there were some in the back. He asked how many I wanted and he went back, got them and brought them to me. Very helpful young man! Every employee I've encountered in this store is very helpful and friendly.
