Look at these adorable lil baskets that I got for less than a quarter total! I'm delighted to find out that there is a Goodwill Outlet within driving distance of my home; I will certainly be back. This thrift store is for the hardcore thrifters, not for the faint of heart. Everything is just thrown in bins; you will have to search to find anything good. I look forward to returning.

Nice Goodwill store. Things are organized nicely, so no major hunting for your size. Sunday is a great day to go because select color tags of clothing are $1, and another color is half the weekly price. The store was busy, but not crowded, was clean and pleasant to shop!10/23/22Returned to Lakeside Goodwill, and the clothing shopping was great with the specific tag color $1 specials. The prices of goods as increased, and I noticed a new yoga mat Goodwill priced at $8.99, with a retail sticker of $5!Overall, the store was clean, but the dressing room I was in had trash on the dirty floor. The store was very busy, and I commend the hard working check out staff who maintained their patience and smile while helping a long line of customers!

The outlet store is my go to. Highly recommended. Picked up $175 worth of New Halloween stuff with tags still on for $9. You can also find sewing patterns for extremely cheap because it’s based on pounds. I found vintage sewing patterns in excellent condition here some weren’t even used. It’s all about continuously coming back and checking through all bins. I do recommend you bring gloves to search through some of the bins.

Just had an awful experience here today. We came in around 5pm looking to buy clothes. Once we had collected some things to try on, the lady working had closed the fitting rooms saying “nope, not going in there with all those clothes” directed towards us. We had about ten items to try on each and my partner had already tried on some things just 10 min earlier in those same fitting rooms. It was clear that she had closed fitting rooms specifically because of us. The lady working did not speak to us, did not tell us any rules, did not even ask if we were planning on trying things on. We would have gladly brought in a few items at a time or even put some things back if that’s what she wanted but no, she just closed the rooms for the entire store. I felt completely judged and ridiculed and left without buying anything.

I called just a few minutes ago and told the lady that answered that I want to inquire about some FR (flame resistant) clothing, she didn't even give me a chance to ask at all, instead quick told me "YOU GONE HAVE TO COME LOOK AND SEE FOR YOURSELF" I JUSY WANTED TO KNOW BEFORE I DROVE 30MILES AND THEY NOT HAVE THEM!!!!! TOTALLY DISRESPECTFUL AND SHOULDN'T BE WORKING IN RETAIL ESPECIALLY ANSWERING FOR ANYBODY'S BUSINESS

Goodwill at Lakeside in Salem. Was traveling thru and stopped. Asked for restroom, was told there is none in the store, you have to go outside to the next store that is Goodwill Bins. What a terrible experience. That place was a zoo. 2 bathrooms, one was so nasty you couldn't walk in, the other wasn't as bad but no toilet paper or paper towels. Kids were running everywhere. People where aggressive. They should only allow so many in at a time. They definitely need more staff in both locations. We frequently visit thrift stores all over the country, this was by far our worst experience.

The outlet store is the best! You can't beat the prices and you can find name brand shoes and clothes. The staff works hard to keep new items coming out.

The prices are great dont get me wrong but the experience was horrible people getting up on ya seeing what u got which i can deal with dont bother me so much but it was some of the workers that are so rude

Their bins and e-commerce people are awesome. I don't know why the retail side has such poor customer service. Had a manager go through my items and price check each one like I was trying to get one over on them. I spend hundreds of not thousands at goodwill. I support their mission and usually get amazing customer service everyplace but here.

I have been coming here for a few years. Yes Great Deals etc but the clients some of them try to size each other up. It’s a pity that I round up, pick up broken glass in bins, gave even gifts to a couple workers bc I know it’s not a picnic to work there with all the drama. Lots of great deals yes but be ready for pesky drama and the new co manager needs to stop talking down to people, telling you to pick up every item that hits the floor by mistake. That’s part of the workers job. I have to clean up the floors where I have worked, why can’t she? Sure a few fights here that can be laughable but very irritating to a paying customer that helps the Goodwill mission so to speak. People talk about each other under their breath make racist comments about black white, Hispanic, Indian etc. Enter at your own risk. People also steal and take stuff out of each other’s carts. A shame that the bigger picture can’t be seen that if you are in the store you obviously are in need of some of the items they provide at lower by the pound prices. I did call your Corporate office, you bet I did bc I’m not going to be intimated by people saying they are willing to fight you like been on the streets bc the aisles are cluttered. Been to Staunton, Richmond, Greensboro, Baltimore and even Hollywood Goodwill outlets not as much drama and well frankly that bathroom is just disgusting.

You have consistently gone up on prices.I recently came by and these are donations.i know you sell books online and don't know what you are doing .Really you need to decrease prices or new stores will out do you. PF flyer 14.99 really.Workers are overextended.Nice though.Last time I went in themerch was priced with a sticker at one price he tried to charge higher I left it . I soon will stop going there.

The outlet store needs to be clean. The tables need to be completely clean out and trash through away. And the store has a water leak in ceiling has got bigger from last. This is dangerous the ceiling could fall in or someone fall. Yesterday bathroom was running out in the main floor. The heavy set woman that works there is rude. And there no need to tell any of them about anything and the manager says he will fix things but don't. This is for outlet side.

When a customer purchases a bulk item such as a desk or a dresser and is sent to the donation side to pick it up, please make sure you give them their receipt showing they paid for the item. It is rude to take their receipt and throw it away as if they didn't pay for the item. Close the door in their face and call them crazy. I didn't appreciate my receipt being taken from me and being called crazy to my face. If you don't have that receipt showing you paid for the item the Goodwill can put a warrant out for your arrest. I do appreciate the manager going into the register and getting my receipt and making the situation right. The man working the donation side should have not have called me crazy and taken my receipt and thrown it away that is my copy that shows that I paid for the item.

Tried to return a defective item about 15 minutes before close. It was the last day of the seven-day return period. There was nothing in the store that I wished to have, so I just asked for a voucher or gift card. This was not an option so now I am stuck with a set of defective speakers.

It is a regular Goodwill store on one side and a Goodwill outlet store, otherwise known as a "pound store" on the other side. Prices are usually good on the retail side. You can find really good deals on the outlet side. I've scored some very good deals on old computer speakers, cookware and appliances, and all kinds of cables and power supplies for electronic items. They have a place you can test things before you buy. And the deals on books, sometimes very old books, can be great at $0.25.for paperback and $0.50 for hard cover. Definitely a place I try and visit whenever I go to Salem.

The staff is always friendly in my experience. The prices, however, leave much to be desired. I saw one shirt with the tag still on it from Walmart for $3, yet Goodwill was selling it for nearly $5. If you are a thrifty shopper, you can often find better deals in regular stores.

Super cheap shopping sold by weight. Pickings are usually pretty slim however especially electronics. I have on occasion gotten lucky and found some great buys. Be prepared to dig, move items, and untangle huge tangled masses of cords to find the deals. Bring rubber/latex disposable gloves for the digging or your hands will take a beating. A unique shopping experience not for everyone.

The worse place I've ever been..My daughter was trying on clothes last week and laid her billfold down and forgot it and she realized it a few minutes later and it was gone..In that little bit of time either a employee stoked it or a customer. My daughter begged them to help her..maybe look on the cameras and they refused. She had all her money it that billfold..Her I'd..Her credit cards and one of my cards..Its ashame people can be so ruthless..I hope they burn in He'll..I will never go there again..Plus it's nasty..

The “digging bins” is a great place to find decorations for your home, electronics, shoes, clothing, bed linens, hats, books, you name it. There’s usually a line at the entrance before it opens. Some people sell on eBay and Amazon and want to find the best itemsIt’s a neat place

Store needs to be organized in sections of men, women, children sizes. Not everything everywhere. This would make it easier to shop and faster. I seen some people leave because of the fustration of not being organized.

This place definitely needs some TLC. The outlet beside it really needs it more. Not very clean & the girl that checked us out needs to go & relearn customer service. She seen us standing there & told us to hold on while she swept. We are both very patient however after 10 mins of still sweeping & ignoring us that is seriously bad customer service

Great bargains for my preschool class in the outlet store, but not much next door in the regular store. A fourth of it was blocked off and closed, and some shelves now sell brand new items. Some of the other stores are doing the same thing. Looks like they're getting out of the thrift business.

we stumbled across this outlet by chance (never new goodwill had an outlet before) and fell in love, will be making many more trips to salem just to shop here. all the staff i dealt with was very friendly. if you have never been to a goodwill outlet, its different then the regular goodwill, everything is in bins and sold by the pounds. its dirtier and unorganized then the other stores but thats the nature of it. take your time and search through you wont be disappointed, I got some really nice high end brands that was in great shape for next to nothing.

Kind of dirty and shopworn, but I guess that's to be expected. Honestly, I was hoping for a better selection. I realize that things are going to come and go because of the nature of the business, but I was a little disappointed. Parking is good, but I wouldn't leave your car here unattended for too long.

Had the least about of stuff there that I have ever seen in a good will. The other issue was we checked on line to see what time the outlet closed, it said 8 on, we got there at 650 pm. It closed at 6😥
