Shiela, Brittney, and all of the pharmacy staff are awesome.I love to read reviews where people are so subjective to the true situation happening.People have zero clue as to the true level of work and dedication that these people have. The rules that are continuously changing causing even more work for the staff is crazy.The Pharma industry has changed so very much in the past three years and all of the changes have had serious impact on the staffs ability to get customers taken care of as quickly as they would like. And customers treat the staff like trash and as if they are subclass humans.Before you decide to bash this pharmacy take into account that :The board of pharmacy has changed the verification process again causing a process that used to take maybe ten minutes to potentially take over an hour.Insurance changes have caused a 2/3 increase in clients at pretty much every CVS because they took their contracts away from other pharmacy’s.Rules and regulations that CVS corporates has implemented has also added to the process time.All existing tasks that need done are still needing to be completed while staffing and hours are not increasing for the influx.Daily people attack the staff verbally for items that they have zero control over, such as insurance requirements or lack of refills, or shortages of specific drugs.These people are just employees and are humans like all of you. And unlike so many people in America, they decided to continue to work instead of sitting at home with excuses. Day after day they come in and are abused and overworked to take care of you..So yeah, put yourself in their shoes. Go to a place where you barely get one half hour break if you lucky for a full days work. Barely getting time to use the restroom.Having so much work that has to be done that it is overwhelming all while customers are beating you up.Do that, and then have the nerve to complain because you had to wait a little longer for your script.These people are saints and deserve your respect and admiration. Be thankful they are there, because if they weren’t you would be screwed.Be a decent human being..

I’ve been going here for years. Even though no one is perfect, I’ve always revived my medications as promised which I was grateful for. Even with the long lines and waiting, I appreciate that I’m even able to pick up medication to make me better. These people aren’t rude like these reviews say. I’ve been going here for 7 years and have never had a problem with any of them. They are all super helpful and give what they promise even if it isn’t exactly when predicted. People need to understand that these pharmacists work hard and that us consumers are not the center of their lives. They do the best they can just like we all do. God bless.

Like every one else...no regard for customers. Dropped a script off, came back 24 hours later...hadn't been started. Told I needed to wait 30 minutes. Pharmacist is giving shots, not filling scripts for the 20 other people waiting. These people need to increase pay so the can get staff for the customers they have left. This is probably the 10th straight experience like this. Mail order...here we come.

The issues at this pharmacy have gotten out of hand. It’s been terrible for months and I’ve been trying to get my prescription transferred to a different pharmacy but this location will not answer phone calls so no other pharmacy can move the prescription. They closed for 3 days straight this week and scheduled my prescription to be ready on the day that they would be closed. After two days of going without my medication I had to call an on-call doctor on a Saturday at the hospital and have her call a different CVS and prescribe me just one pill to get me by. Usually after insurance this particular prescription cost less than $1 for a 30 day supply, but I had to pay $15 for one pill Because the other CVS technically couldn’t fill a 30 day supply and run it through my insurance when The prescription is already in the process of being filled at this location but I could not pick it up because they closed for three days. They do not answer the phones ever, the drive-through hasn’t been open for months, I have to go in there in person and wait in a line for 30 to 40 minutes just to ask for my medicine to be filled and then come back and wait in that same long line just to pick it up. Even if I fill my medication through the automated system on the phone they will not work on filling it unless I go in in person and tell them. My son had a medication sent there for an ear infection and it took them three days to fill it last month. They don’t handle anything that the doctors send to them to fill unless you go in and personally tell them they need to do it. I cannot believe they would close their pharmacy for three days straight without notifying their customers beforehand. I spoke with corporate about the situation today because I have been extremely patient and understanding of understaffing issues during a pandemic but they need to outsource some help or just close this location altogether.

Always have what you need. Prices are great also. Employee are all so nice. I go to there sometime to wonder around while my friend gets chemo. Theses days I appreciate happy employee. Everyone is short handedSmiles are priceless. Go team.

Tried having a prescription transferred from here to another pharmacy, but the new pharmacy couldn’t get an answer after several attempts and waiting on hold for over an hour while multitasking. I tried calling and had the same luck. Drove to the pharmacy to find the drive-thru window covered and the line inside was 15 people deep. As a pharmacy, they have an obligation to do better by their patients than this, worker shortage or not.

Held for 2 and 1/2 hours trying to get to speak to pharmacist to get Rx filled. At the end they hung up on me. They do not have enough pharmacy techs, and they will not hire more. Closing the drive through window without notice. At least they could put a sign at the beginning of the drive through drive so I would not waste time going around the building. I'm disabled. This makes it extremely hard for me to get my medications. Phone system is a joke. No matter what you push or say nothing works to get you help. Fast losing my business, and I have been a customer for 15 years.

Very dissatisfied. I can never get through to the Pharmacy when I call. I am on hold for 10+ minutes and no one picks up. If my doctor calls in a prescription I never get notified if it is ready. I go in to pick it up and I’m told the medication isn’t in stock. I would truly prefer to not make an unnecessary trip when I am not feeling well to the pharmacy but there is no other way to check. I understand short staffed but this goes beyond that.

your pharmacist, James, is terrible. my friend was simply jiggling the handle to the door knob on the door of the bathroom that said “out of order” just to see if it’d maybe open and James says “DONT DO THAT!! ITS OUT OF ORDER FOR A REASON” and began to argue with everyone we were with, being so immature AND verbally disrespected us and called one of the guys we were with names and said his haircut is from the 1900’s. James may want to find a new career because obviously his passion isn’t in pharmacy. Please have James take a course on customer service and maybe certain reviews to this specific CVS will increase. Terrible experience and we’ve already contacted corporate for this matter.

This is absolutely the worst cvs I have experienced. The pharmacy never answers the phone or notifies you if meds are ready or even in stock. Always have to go to the store to check on things and get no help and lots of attitude. We transferred from another location when we moved to avoid having to set everything up again- but we are switching now- over 10 years of the same regular script and we never had issues until this cvs. And the store is a wreck- there is more merchandise sitting in the aisles than there is on the shelves.

This used to be a good pharmacy to go to but now not so much. They never have what you need in stock, they NEVER answer the phone, they tell you when you can pick up your prescription and it's never ready. Very disappointed.

This was great until a few months ago when it quickly started going downhill. No one should have to wait over 3 weeks to have a refill filled. No one answers the phone. Drive thru is now closed. You have to go in and wait in a ridiculous long line to be told your prescription is still not ready. Sad to see nearly bare shelves. After 7-8 years, I will have to move on to another pharmacy.

Very poor customer service, one of the worst cvs stores I’ve ever been to. Cannot get prescriptions filled on time and have very long lines in the store and have closed the drive thru window. They will not answer the phone at this location. I personally witnessed this upon having to go in to have prescriptions refilled. The pharmacy employees were deliberately ignoring the phone and working very slow. I called back to speak with a manager who told me his name was Tom and he told me they were short staffed and that I could go elsewhere if needed to get prescriptions and transfer it. For starters I go here cause this store is closer to my home. No good manager should ever tell a customer to take your business elsewhere. I feel like this store cannot operate due to poor management, it’s not the customers faults if they cannot staff the store properly, CVS corporate needs to staff this store with a proper manager that has the tools needed to keep employees operating and functionally working together for a better overall performance for customer service. (OR CLOSE THIS LOCATION) plain and simple, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see the downfall of this store. I would recommend not going to this store for service.

Here from out of town taking care of some relatives who are ill. Came down with a sinus infection. My doctor at home called this CVS with my prescription for an antibiotic. I called at 4:00 to see when it would be ready. Was told before 8:00pm. Then got a text saying it was on order and would be Monday. Could they give me another type? Nope has to come from Dr. If I would have been told this at 4????

Horrible service. I’ve been waiting for a Rx to be filled for 3 days. Drive thru never open. For 3 days Straight I’ve been on hold for over 20 minutes only for them to disconnect the call. You should NEVER use this pharmacy. They simply do not care about their quality of service or their customers. New pharmacy manager has made a lot of promises and has not followed through on any of them. I can’t get my PCP to transfer my Rxs because they won’t answer the phone for them either.

I went to CVS to receive a COVID vaccine. No one was in the store because it was early and just opened. I was informed by the somewhat rude and impersonal staff that I had to make a appointment on the web to receive the service I requested. I cannot understand why I couldn’t do it in person I was there. I didn’t have a loyalty card so I didn’t even get a discount on what I purchased. I will not return to this or any CVS stores in the future. They have surplus vaccines and now I know why. If you’re not part of the solution you must be part of the problem.

⭐So, somebody quits and people who are dependent on this pharmacy to get their meds are left to deal with it.Pretty selfish that the one person vital to the whole process just up and quit, but it's seriously concerning that CVS doesn't have a plan in place beforehand.Use them if you want, just know that they may leave you stranded.

The service at this CVS is horrible. They should close it until they figure it out. My insurance company requires me to use CVS and I hate it. Never a problem at Walgreens. Can’t count on the drive through to be open. When you go inside prepare to stand inline for a hour.

TERRIBLE!!!! The pharmacy is god awful. Save yourself sometime and please choose somewhere else. Their drive thru is closed so have fun in the long line to tell you they don’t have anything for you but the Dr. sent meds twice. Over it. Get people or don’t be open period. Chaos in CVS like come on. My Drs. Office and myself tried to call about 7 times and no answer.

Beyond useless. Health company during a pandemic can’t be bothered to keep their drive through open, can’t honor the drive up delivery offered on the site, and no longer offer free delivery. Also of note, they refill your meds early, keep them until you need them, then they put them back to stock. Causing more delays, and less efficient service.This is as polite as I can be for this company. May the corporation implode, and something actually useful appear in its ashes.

You can never get anyone on the phone, the lines are super long in the store. I was told incorrect information about my son’s medication and once I showed up in person it was a totally different situation.

They desperately need to fix whatever is going on at the Salem CVS. People rely on them for life-saving medications. If they are understaffed, they should source prescriptions out to other pharmacies so that people can get their medications on time. You can't depend on this location right now.

This is the slowest CVS I’ve dealt with in my lifetime. Consistently a 15 minute wait for someone to pick up the phone, 20 minute wait at the counter. I can’t imagine how long it would be to wait on a NEW prescription. Choose a different pharmacy.

I waited in the drive through for 40 minutes. This is after getting a notification that my prescription, going the first time, and being told that it wasn’t ready. There is zero reason it should take 40 minutes in any drive through. I won’t be going back. Ever....

I live 1 block from this place a consistent customer who pays the elevated prices for odds and ends for convenience and get medications filled there half the time I have to wait 15 minutes for meds being refilled after receiving a text telling me they are ready and I show up at 6:02 and refused service no problem I can shop elsewhere
