The staff here is wonderful. They are very professional and caring. Dr. Pan, Dr. Hickey, Dr. Gallagher, and Dr. Kennedy are fantastic veterinarians. Mike the Manager and his wife Tracy (future LVT) are very supportive and keep the clinic humming. Scott, the owner is very friendly and has put together a great team.

Our vet had closed his doors and Rustburg vet welcomed us with open arms. They were always professional and very nice, even when I got my appointment mixed up. They were all friendly and informative. I highly recommend Dr. Hoss and the Rustburg clinic.

Everyone was extremely nice, and spoke to my pet as if Lilly was their own. They explained everything that was done and asked if had any questions or concerns. I would highly recommend them. Very professional.

I just moved here 6 months ago and have not had good experiences with two out of my three pets. My cat with a chronic illness (HSV) couldn’t get her medications filled. I called and requested the med refill, the staff said they’d call me back, and they never did. My dog has a UTI (she’s 8, it happens with her anatomy sometimes) and they wouldn’t prescribe without an appointment. That’s fine, I schedule the appointment and show up today. They “lost” my appointment and my dog can’t be treated. It just seems like maybe they’re too busy or something, but my pets aren’t getting good care here. I don’t recommend this facilitity for newcomers!

Went in the office to ask about a sick community cat at 5pm and was able to be seen the next day. They were so patient and friendly. They answered every question I had and even offered suggestions on how to take care of all the community cats to keep them safe and healthy.

Had my kitten’s first appointment on Friday and they were very sweet to her! she was not a fan of getting her first shots but they held her and made it as quick and painless as possible. The doctor was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The ladies at the desk were also very kind!

So kind. Luca was kinda bitey. He's normally very friendly with other people and animals. They made it ok. Also very good at coaching you in how to better care for your pet. I appreciate that because I want luca around for a long time.

**Edited to respond to owner: You did not offer to see him within 90 minutes. We were there at 8:00 a.m. when you opened with a VERY ill dog! You initially said you didn't have any availability at all, then you offered a 3:30 p.m. appointment. Then you finally offered a 10:30 appointment but we had to leave and come back, you would not allow us to drop him off even though he needed emergency care right away. That is NOT a 90 minute wait. That is a 150 minute wait OR 2.5 hours MINIMUM. This is not the first time you have done this. He was an established patient at your practice and he needed help right away. We ended up driving an hour from our house to have him seen. He has heart failure. Thanks for nothing! Please don't lie to save face.Our animals have been patients at this facility for many years. In the past year our older dog has had two emergencies. Both times this office refused to see him in an urgent compacity and instead referred us to urgent care which is an hour away from our house. I understand offices get booked, but they have canceled regular appointments we had scheduled on multiple occasions to accommodate other animals who had "emergencies." It seems to be a pick and choose kind of thing. Their automated message says "press 9 if it's an emergency" and they ask when they pick up the phone if it's an emergency but it doesn't matter as they won't do anything to help you in an emergency. If you want a vet that will care for your animal in all situations, pick another location. This place has really gone downhill in the past couple of years. Be wise, choose another vet!! That's what we're doing!

I had been very worried about one of my cats with a worm infection, and Dr. Gallagher and the staff were very kind, understanding, and informative. They checked to make absolutely sure that he needed the deworming topical, answered all our questions easily, and even gave some trusted sources on topics we had concerns about.I can't imagine a better vet experience than what they provided today. My boyfriend and I are put at ease knowing that our kitties are in good hands at the Rustburg Vet Clinic.

I recommend Rustburg Vet Clinic to everyone I know. I love Dr. Hubbard. She and her staff took excellent care of my mini schnauzer, who had complicated medical conditions. She gave excellent advice about what, how, and when to treat her. She went above and beyond with her care. She promptly responded to my emails, called to check in often, consulted with vets who worked with complicated cases like Zoe’s, and did research to make sure she was staying up to date on the latest treatment trends. When we got our new puppy, there was and still is no doubt in our mind where we would take her for care.

My experience was excellent at Rustburg Veterinary Clinic. I recently moved to VA from Arkansas and was nervous about getting a new vet for my dog. She's older and has had the same vet for her entire life. They were excellent with her. Their evaluation was thorough, and they explained her health, vet service needs, and even tried to get her back as quick as possible (which is no easy feat with current back up from Covid impacts). I really liked EVERY staff member I came into contact with - they all made you feel like you were not a burden, and they truly love pets. I highly recommend them!

Rustburg Veterinary is the very best place you could imagine taking your pet! The staff there definitely have a LOVE for animals, they are very compassionate and kind. Dr. Hubbard is the very best Vet there is around, and I've been to a few, and I will only allow her to treat my dog. She has a great kindness, very compassionate about your pet and always taking the time to sit down with you to talk about your pet and looking for best options to treat your pet. She cares!!! These people are absolutely amazing!! I have contacted them a few times about my pets and they were able to get me in very quickly (sometimes within the hour if needed). All of the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I have never felt that they are lacking in any area of overall customer service. They take amazing care of the animals and they are very good about communication with their clients. You can tell they are the best vet around if you just call them. I had called several places before inquiring at Rustburg Vet and everyone before them acted like I was wasting their time by calling. You’ll never feel like a waste of time at Rustburg Vet! As a college student, my budget is always a bit tight, and they've worked with me, without judgment. The staff is kind, caring, and put my mind at ease. We have been bringing our pets here for years. We mainly see Dr. Hubbard who is very compassionate and knowledgeable. The other vets we've seen occasionally have also been great. While some of our pets are no longer with us, we know we can count on Rustburg Vet and their staff to be supportive, caring, and professional. Highly recommend!

I adopted a cat that is about a year old and I had her for about 3 to 4 months when I suspected she might have worms. I made her an appointment at the Rustburg Clinic because it’s the closest to me and it was my first visit there. My cat isn’t use to going anywhere or being in a carrier so while I was filling out the paperwork and waiting she was meowing a lot. The lady at the front desk was so sweet and kept trying to talk to her and calm her down. Everyone there was super nice and very gentle with my cat. They confirmed the worms and gave me some medicine to treat those but also got me some preventative medicine so hopefully we don’t have to go through this again. They also checked her ears cause she had some type of buildup in them. Overall I was very satisfied with the service and how helpful and friendly there were. I will definitely continue to use them for my cats health needs and definitely would recommend them to anyone. I also got a discount on that visit since I adopted my cat from the shelter which a discount is always a plus.

RVC has a very professional staff who will seek to understand your needs and the needs of your pet. They also offer an email to send records, which may not seem like a big deal until you have someone who continues to only use a fax. :) Definately recommend to any pet owner!

This is hands down the best veterinary clinic in the area. Their customer service is excellent. They are dedicated to the pets in their care and I never worry about my little loves when I leave them with Rustburg Vet Clinic.They call after surgery and their appointment schedule is very flexible. We have been with them for five years and plan to be with them for a long time to come.

Dr Hubbard and the other Vets are the best!! They take excellent care of all my fur babies and they really care about them. I would highly recommend any pet to go there. Right now I have 3 very sick babies and Dr Hubbard checks on them by either phone or email. My babies loves everyone there.
