We visited the winery. today on our last day of vacation and we were just taken aback by the beauty. We were sat in an enclosed private seating area on a cold evening with a fire and heater and blankets. We had incredibly friendly service and it was the icing on the cake for our visit. The wine flights were perfect and extremely enjoyable. Wish I could visit every weekend but we will definitely return on our next visit to the area!Cory

If you haven’t been out to visit Montifalco Vineyard, you’re really missing out - plain and simple! This small boutique winery is the true gem of the Monticello Wine Trail. While their wines, specifically their red blends and Cab Franc, is what initially grabbed our attention, what keeps us coming back is the experience. The owners, Justin and Denis are so hospitable and have really thought thru all the small details to make a day at Montifalco Vineyard stand out. Whether it’s sitting by a fire pit, or under the pergola, we really enjoy the smaller groups of seating and peacefulness of the vineyard. You will have to search far and wide to get a better wine tasting experience. The staff is so focused on guest experience…you’ll feel like part of the family. Justin, the winemaker, is always welcoming and excited to talk about his wine and his philosophy of the vineyard experience! If Denis is pouring that day - you’re in for a treat - SERIOUSLY! His knowledge and enthusiasm for what they have created at Montifalco shines thru. Wish we were closer, because we miss our Sunday afternoons at the vineyard sipping a glass of Cab Franc or Coda Rossa! Looking forward to a visit very soon!

Let Spring begin: 2021 MV Estate Rapide and 2023 MV Estate Meritage Blanc. Quaint. Comfortable. Relaxing. Hands down the most inviting atmosphere in the area. Oh, and try the wine!

Nice boutique vineyard in a quaint setting. Owner and staff were very hospitable and we enjoyed their wine in a covered area with seats right beside the "grapes". We hope to return later this year.

The feel of a French vineyard right in the heart of Central Virginia. At every visit, I feel like I'm coming home. Justin and his team go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. They are listed as a "public establishment", but a group of 14 they turn away and forced us off the property because the people on the bus were "disturbing their customers". They've lost our business and we're very disappointed in the lack of hospitality. Do NOT recommend, seeing that we drove 30 minutes out of our way to get there. The owner and staff were rude about the entire endeavor.

Gorgeous farm winery full of personality. Loved the seating and clean outdoor space! We brought our pup to sit with us outside and the owner was kind enough to bring him some dog biscuits. Can't recommend enough!

This place is amazing. The wine is consistently awesome and the service is even better. No matter what we got (red, white or rose) we enjoyed all of it. You can tell there is pride in what they are making there.Went on the Fourth of July and the coolest part was they were grilling and offering complimentary hotdogs and burgers to guests! Great atmosphere and would highly recommend.

I feel so torn about leaving a 5 star review. On the one hand, it’s imperative for local businesses to be reviewed. On the other hand, this hidden gem should remain hidden. No children, no crowds (looking at you, bridal parties with matching Ts)…quiet, quirky, clean, stylish, beautiful. We can’t wait to return.

Such a beautiful vineyard! We really enjoyed spending time here and Izzy took great care of us. Make sure you look at the map closely before coming because the sign was easy to miss, but definitely worth a visit!

Decided to try a new spot for my birthday and although we arrived just after last seating, the owner Justin was very accommodating and fit us in. Very friendly and polite staff. The Silva and Merlot were my two favorite. The first being a very playful light red and the second bold with dark fruit forward notes. Recommend for those looking for a new experience in VA's wine country.

I love Montifalco! I've visited twice and it's quickly become my favorite winery to visit in Virginia. The view is incredible, the wine is delicious, and the atmosphere is just so homey and warm. I've yet to try a wine I didn't love here. Justin the owner is incredibly kind and personally checks on your party to make sure everyone is enjoying themselves and the service! The entire staff is really pleasant and helpful too, and they really know their customers. After my first visit I could see why there are so many regulars - it's a lovely place. On my first visit, the staff was kind enough to offer us tries of several different wines while we were making a decision on which bottles to buy. When my friend spilled part of the glass of rose she'd bought, they kindly filled her entire glass again even after she'd let them know she'd lost only half. They really go above and beyond here to make you feel welcomed and that your patronage is appreciated. I'll definitely be back again!

This is my favorite winery in all of VA - you will love the playful delicious wine, the beautiful scenery, and the welcoming charm of this place. Each time I visit I leave with a few bottles, and it’s always such a wonderful experience having some wine + charcuterie and enjoying the music and conversation. The fabulous owner/vintner (Justin) has created such a gem of a winery with plenty of great seating and lovely views, and there are lots of gorgeous vignettes for those of us who want to capture an Instagrammable moment :)

Montifalco Vineyard is a charming, hidden gem in rural Virginia. Unassuming upon entry, the wines here more than hold their own against larger wineries in the area. The back patio of the winery backs up to the homegrown vines that are responsible for some very tasty European-inspired reds and whites. What was probably my favorite part of our visit was the ambiance of the winery. The friendly nature of the owner Justin and the relaxed atmosphere mimics the small family-owned, community wineries found in Europe. Would highly recommend to anyone making a trip to Virginia wineries!

Found a new favorite VA winery and vineyard. The winery manager, Dennis, was extremely insightful and knowledgeable. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the chairs, enjoying the views of vineyard. The wine was delightful, the various blends and varieties are the among the best I have tasted in the Commonwealth.

Recently went to this winery with a group of coworkers and it was an amazing experience. Justin is an impeccable host and caters to every single one of his customers to ensure their time there is enjoyable. Justin’s passion towards winemaking is stunning and showcases that through his wines.Not only are the wines delicious, but this place also has bocce ball with its own sandpit. I would definitely recommend this place!
