I volunteer there as often as I can. Its a long 45ish minute drive to get to. But I'm always excited when I get the chance to come visit. I absolutely love the pup they have right now, Cruz. If he's still available when I get my own place I’d love to adopt. But if he gets adopted before that, I hope he goes to a lovely home. The faculty is nice and incredibly upfront about cost and expectations, which I appreciate incredibly.

We have been there twice in the past month after having to put down one of my older cats. Not expecting to get another when we did we ended up coming back and getting a second a month later. The staff was all extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. To see the way Jennifer was toward all the babies there she knew almost everyone apart and something special about them all. Was awesome to see the amount of love and care there. The second kitten we adopted ended up having a cold so they told us to bring her back right away and they woll take a look at her. The did an examination and gave her medicines. I really appreciated them taking the time to show us how to give it to her. And she is doing well now. Thank you all for all you do

Have now adopted twice from FCPP with nothing but exceptional experiences. They are always professional, honest, committed, & hold applicants to the high standards that a no-kill shelter should. I drive a considerable distance to use this shelter as it far surpasses every other one in the region, in my opinion.

They also try to secure you an appt . If not they are nice enough to put you on a waiting list. The staff is very welcoming, caring, and informative. They keep vet costs down instead of having to go to a more expensive vet hospital for spaying/nurturing, microchipping, rabies, Heartworm, etc. Great place to take your dog or cat.

My fiancé and I adopted our puppy from there a few weeks ago. They were rude to us right from the start and made the adoption process awful. We had another puppy in mind and told us we could adopt him and when we went to to see him they said he was adopted already. We got lucky with our puppy but they forced us to neuter him at 3 months old. He is a large breed mix so neutering that soon could cause health issues but they didn’t care when I brought it up. They practically said other vets are dumb and they only rely on their vets info. The vets were nice but the adoption people were extremely rude and treated us like we knew absolutely nothing. Christina was in charge of our adoption and was the most rude. Definitely would recommend other shelters before theirs!

They gave us the absolute best friend we could've asked for but I feel like they make up stories to try and pity you to adopt. We got several different stories as to our dogs background but really didn't matter because we were hooked once we seen our guy.

Worst adoption experience ever! It is very clear there is no chain of command or communication in this business. Point blank, the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. We were approved to adopt the animals on our application and had email verification, but when we went to pick them up offsite, they refused to let us have them. We tried to figure out what we needed to do and got the run around for almost two days, only to be told the animals we applied for and that we were told we had, were no longer available. When we expressed how disappointed and frustrated we were with this process, we were basically told, "We have other animals available" and "You can always look elsewhere." This is NOT how you treat people who are taking their time to give the animals in your shelter a loving home. I am not impressed with their communication skills or ability to understand how they are playing with peoples emotions.

This facility is a great place, I worked there for a while an loved it. Anita will not turn away any animals an will save all she can. She has a huge love for animals an the staff does as well. They work with the animals alot, and they all get lots of love which they need. Please if you must get rid of one contact them, and if you are looking for your FUR ever companion please go there, you will be glad that you did i promise. This place is the worst. They neutered my cat and messed it up.Picking him up they told me not to open his carrier for an hour but when I got home I saw he was bleeding a lot, so I called them well before they closed and no one answered. I eventually called the emergency vet and they told me there were complications and he had to stay over night due to losing so much blood. After a week of constantly calling Planned pet hood they finally called me back. I asked for compensation for the emergency vet bill and was told I didn’t need to over react and take him to the emergency vet. They had me send them all of the billing information and I haven't heard back from them in weeks.They are truly terrible and don't care about animals.

I'm very happy with my experience here. They took wonderful care of my kitty that i just rescued from the Franklin County shelter several weeks ago. I noticed my kitty had some inflammation in her mouth and they let me bring her in the next day, treated her and made sure she was taken care of. I definitely plan to come here for further veterinary care - they were so great and helpful. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. :)

The people that work here are great! They are very caring to all fur babies. We got our fur babies their rabies vaccines, flea and tick medication and their nails trimmed. This is a low cost spay and neuter clinic as well. A great place for your fur babies needs!

We visited here for the first time a couple days ago. We went back again today. Both days the kennels were spotless! The dogs were adorable and well cared for. The people here truly care about the animals. You can see it when they walk through and speak to or pet the animals as they pass. They always know exactly where each dog is and are happy to share what they know about each dog. We adopted the sweetest dog today. We are so happy with him, he was well behaved at the kennel but since we have had him home he has been phenomenal! I am so grateful for the information they shared and the tips they offered. Each and every person who works at or volunteers here deserves a huge pat on the back and they all have my many thanks! Such a great organization!

My mother had been looking for a small dog to adopt. We went to the Rocky Mount facility where we found everyone to be both kind and generous with their time. Though an older facility it was both clean and well kept. The cats had large rooms in which they could play and roam. My mother found a little adorable dog and we were approved to adopt her. We named her Willow and will be bringing her home next week after being spayed. I am so grateful to them for making my elderly mom so very happy.

Really nice people here.. Took care of my puppy with a puppy package of shots and neutered by 6 moo old for literally almost 1/2 the price!!Jake did very well and they we're very informative with his information.. I personally had a great experience.. Would highly recommend them especially if you don't have a lot of money tho throw away.. 2 thumbs up. 👍 👍

My wife and I have taken both of our cats there and they were treated like royalty. We recently adopted our dog from there and the staff was incredible!! They helped us with everything we needed and the woman that is their dog trainer offered to help us if we needed anything once we got home. They're absolutely the best place to get your new pet and they have a dedicated, loving staff that really cares for animals. I have had multiple people, including my own mother tell me that is the only place they will take their pets for anything. If you're interested in a new pet, then you can addopt with confidence here and know that you will be taken care of as well as your new family member.

I have been to planned pet hood many times in the past and I always have a great experience. So when we got our new puppy I knew when it came down to getting her spayed I didn’t hesitate to contact planned pethood. They are a low cost clinic, so you may think the quality wouldn’t be as good because with other things you get what you pay for but this is not the case with the staff at planned pethood. They are AMAZING!!! I wish I lived closer so I could use them for wellness visits. Thank you once again for a great experience.

The staff at this place is absolutely amazing. The way that they love animals is unmatched. It doesn't matter what your financial status, they will work it out for you. I would never take my animals anywhere else

I live 1.5 hours from Planned Pethood and have been to 5 other shelters looking for a match for my blue heeler. This is the best, most helpful shelter I visited. Even though they are short handed, the young lady took her time with me and was knowledgeable about each dog I looked at. If you don't live near there, it's worth the trip to see for yourself.

My mother has been bringing her small dog here for years. Until she tells me how the receptionist has now denied that they will offer her small dog getting her nails trimmed. What I believe only takes 10 -20mins at the most. She said because we have other animals to attend to. My elderly mother confused now because she has always brought her little dog here and paid for the services she’s gotten is now turned away Due to what now ???? Because they have other animals to attend to No can you reschedule because we’re busy or do you mind waiting ?? That’s sad you lost a loyal customer

Two years ago I took my large breed puppy in to be spayed. She was young but she was probably 40 pounds. They sent her home with one stitch in her incision which popped and we had to take her back to repair. I complained publicly because it was their fault. They informed me they would no longer care for her. Last week I called for an appointment to spay two kittens. They called today and said since I had compained before, they were refusing to do it. This is a county service. I do not know how they can refuse to serve me. Shame honest criticism cannot be stated without recrimination. Paying full price for these services for low income residents is difficult.

Wonderful facility its connected to Franklin County Humane Society which is a place that I love. The people are great, you can adopt a dog or a cat or bring yours in for spay, neuter and shots. They have heartworm meds as well as flea & tick prevention...they just get better.

They take care of all the animals as if they were their own. They keep the animals living spaces clean. They walk the dogs daily. They give all the animals personal attention. They are also very friendly to deal with when adopting a pet and they have really great prices when you need something done for your pet too. After filling the proper steps required you can also be a volunteer at your own leisure. I am and I believe I am blessed more than the animals.

This place not only spays and neuters your beloved pets, but it also gives vaccinations and provides veterinary care at a fraction of the cost of a regular veterinarian. Donations are appreciated. I donate a little extra because their prices are so incredibly low.

I called 3 times to try and schedule an appointment to get my kitten fixed and was told she had one but when we got there they didn't have her down but they did agree to spay her that day and also told them she had been sick and she may have an upper respiratory infection. I was told they would check her which they did not and now my kitten is much worse.
