I have been a customer of the Pet Place for several years and love it. I have always been made to feel welcome and the staff quite knowledgeable. In fact they walked me through how to fix my water levels for my fish tanks. At one point I had three tanks going, the largest being a 72 gallon, all filled with healthy happy fish from The Pet Place. Jessica helped me pick out who would live best together as well as guided me on where the fish would live in the tank as to utilize it's size and visibility. All while not overloading the tank. I hate to see the bad reviews because I think it's a great place. The size and family owned and run is what makes it perfect. Always willing to help, order if they don't have and be fair if something dies. See for yourself that they love and care about pets as much as you do!!! Keep up the great work. See yall soon.... want a new tank!!!

I honestly love coming here. It is a very fun and friendly environment. Jessica and her mother are both very funny and caring people. Every time I come in I feel very welcomed. The little critters are all well taken care of and very loved. Over all I think that The Pet Place is most definitely the place to go to get your cute little critters and all their supplies.

I have been a customer at the business for the past four years. The place has a very laid back, friendly atmosphere. The store is clean, the animals are very well taken care of. They are handled and dealt with on a daily basis. The operators are very knowledgeable about the animals, what they need, and how to care for them properly. A mom and pop shop that has a welcoming hug when you walk thru the door. They have recently expanded their shop and it is bigger and better than ever. I would not go anywhere else to purchase a pet. The larger shops are just that LARGE... They care nothing about the animals only money. The Pet Place insure pet health. They offer a wide variety of food, and accessories and if they don't have what you need they get it for you in a very timely manner. And their prices can not be beat. They offer lay a way on pets, and Also do some boarding of animals for their customers. The place just can not be beat. They deserve ten thousand thumbs up..... Thank you very much for the great shopping experience these long years Ms. Arrington!!!

This place is awful. I went there to look at hamsters, and was practically pressured to buy one. She instantly took it out the cage, and was telling me how wonderful he was and how she had everything I needed at cheap prices. She didn't even know if it was a boy or girl. And, I eventually caved, and bought it. But, I'm currently sitting here with a dead hamster. He did not live 24 hours after I purchased him. These animals aren't cared for clearly, and I do not plan on ever coming back.

I don't like it here, I bought a fish after they told me the fish wouldn't get much bigger than it was and after I researched it, they were wrong, it would get a lot bigger. So I brought it back 5 minutes later after researching it in the car, and wanted to exchange for another smaller fish and they got so defensive about it. The lady acted really rude towards me and was telling her coworker about it and her coworker continued on to act rude as well and overly defensive over me wanting to exchange because this fish was too big for my tank. So anyway, I exchanged, and they wouldn't even agree on a warranty like all the other petsmart and what not do. And my fish ended up dying later, and all my other fish in my tank are just fine and healthy. The animals seem really cramped there and I just don't agree on their service or the care for the animals. I really hope these people change their ways or get shut down for the sake of the animals.

The owner called my fiance to purchase some rabbit's. We drove 30plus miles to bring them down there. He walked in with the baby's & the rude owner said that they was ugly & she didn't buy ugly rabbits. Then her daughter comes running outside sayin she was just kidding, No actually what she was doing is called bad business! Apparently the owner has very little knowledge of what she was looking at. Lol she thought lion head rabbits stayed small. These baby's are very pretty & very well taking care of! Which is one of the reason she needed one of the babies as a replacement, cause one that she sold to a customer had died. Well to sum it all up we learned from first hand experience that what we've heard about her is true. She is rude & hard to deal with!

Was not welcomed when I came into the store, the people who seemed to be working were much more concerned about some computer then a customer right in front of them, they did not take care of their animals or had proper knowledge about them. In fact I was in the store one day and found a dead hamster, not freshly dead either , a hamster easily dead 48 hours, the body was ice cold and stiff as a rock. The people here will always tell you false statements like they take care of their animals.How do you know they are lieing you ask? Well for starters the cages are packed side by side,stacked ontop of each-other, animals cannot get fresh air or even see their surrounding. It was quiet , you'd expect the hear birds,crickets,etc. You hear nothing, the animals are NOT happy or HEALTHY .The fishes fins are torn apart, sickly, and no the shippers don't ship bad fish. And you may say oh they may be busy, or low on staff. I will highly agree they are. Only since they are too DAMN stubborn to hire anyone NOT in the family, these folks should NOT be running a pet store , I feel terrible for these poor creatures. The prices charged are way too high for sick and unhappy pets. I will ABSOLUTELY NEVER RETURN! and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to keep driving until you get to a petco or petsmart, at these they somewhat take care of their animals and actually say hello and not feel like your stepping on eggshells.

I've used Pet Place for many years to buy products for my red eared slider turtle who is 14 years old. This store stocks the items I need most and is able to order special things. I enjoy visiting their animals on shopping trips.

We love Pet place! It's kinda small however the ladies have huge heart's. If they don't have something you need they will find someone who does. It is more than a pet place. It's nice little shop.

I absolutely love the pet place ...Jessica has worked with me over the last 3 weeks helping me to correct the problem with my 60 gallon gold fish tank without 1 chemical being used..she guided me through water changes while patiently testing my water a couple of times each week to look for improvement ..the water tested perfect yesterday and my two large goldfish are acting and feeling much better ...I can't give this place enough stars ...I will take all my pet business there now including purchase of supplies and cages...they give customer service a new meaning !!!!

Way overpriced and the woman that owns the place has a huge attitude everytime I go in there, I'd rather just drive to roanoke than deal with her prices and bad attitude.
