It's time to boycott Lowe's. Fed up with the lack of personal service? Having to wait in line for somebody to figure out how to use the self check out? Call me old-fashioned but I go to the store knowing what I need find it on my own and then take it to the checkout, as far as I concerned at that point my job is done! Why do I have to figure out how to pay for it? The shelves are always in disarray, the staff looks defeated and let's face it the products they offer are not worth the hassle of trying to find them.It's time to get back to local vendors there are plenty of appliance, electrical supply, plumbing and lawn and garden local companies that are run by local families. That is who we should be supporting!The convenience of the big box stores are no longer convenient and it's time we sent them a message to get out of town.Regarding your response, I have been shopping at Lowe’s for decades, and I have never seen the decline of your stores take this quickly of a dive. Your automated kiosks are horrible ! You took two or three personnel from doing checkouts to standing there watching customers do it for them. It’s still takes the same number of personnel because the new system is so bad. No one can figure it out! Let’s get back to basics and do the right thing. by the way, it’s not your people I’m unhappy with it’s your system. Obviously somebody is running corporate Lowe’s that has never had a real job and sits on their butt behind a desk.

They’ve gotten rid of all the personnel at the checkouts and gone to a horrible automated system. They never have anything in stock that you need in the shelves are often a mess! Do yourself a favor andshop local. You can find everything you need elsewhere at a local vendor and you’ll be supporting local families.

I went in this store and had a great experience. The guy(Terry)that waited on me was very knowledgeable and he was always polite. I made my purchase and not in the least disappointed. I would rate him a 10 stars all day.

The store was set up nice. Very cleaned and organized. Main issue was we couldn’t find an associate. Maybe because it was near closing time. But finding an associate to assist us took 15 mins

Had to buy a new refrigerator tonight. Chris in appliances was super helpful and helped us find the right one for us. There was another employee that was helping us but he was from the plumbing department I think. He made sure to find answers to our questions. Im sorry I can't remember his name. Very helpful.

Always short handed on help. As a contractor the pro service area always is lacking. Employee's worried more about cart's in the parking lot and going home rather than helping the customer.

I was loading up OSB and two-by-fours when a Lowes representative came up and asked me if he could help me load my cart.Thanks for the great service!Plenty of sales associates answering questions. I'm also impressed with their in stock position, I rarely experience any outs on the shelves.

Went in to get a small 6-in battery operated cordless chainsaw. I originally had been looking at the Kobalt King Charles however they did not have any in stock there. The guy that was working there was very helpful he actually went over to the tool section and found that they had the Craftsman which was just a little bit cheaper. He then proceeded to give us the heads up on the oil to use and some hints about it. All in all I was very pleased with the level of service that we got from the associate there.

In the last month we've had 5 items delivered to our home and 4 out of 5 have been damaged.First was a washer and dryer. The washer had a huge dent in the side to the point we were afraid it would interfere with the drum rotating. They brought a replacement but it also has a dent but not as bad as the first so we accepted. Then we had a storm door and it was busted and we had to order another one. Then they delivered a refrigerator that had a couple of places on the top edge that was caved in and circle impressions on the door. It's like they are delivering items that have already been returned but are trying to pass off to the next customer.I tried to call customer care but was told the wait would be 20+ minutes. So much time has already been wasted waiting for the delivery trucks, having to inspect, days waiting for a new one, then waiting for the delivery truck and then still getting damaged items.If it is something they are to deliver to you, buy from another place. Also, they will not hook up washer and dryers after being told they would.

I know almost every employee know and get recognized every time I walk in because I have been to this location so many times. Almost always have what I need and super pleasant atmosphere. Only hardware store that had my whole panel surge suppressors in stock and I love the ease of the app.

Store is clean bit no registers were open and the gal at self checkout was annoyed we needed help checking out with our order. She put in my military discount, however never offered a thank you for your service as she is supposed to. Also both my wife and I said thank you and have a good evening and fell on deaf ears. No response. I guess I pissed her off because she had to work. Oh poor baby.

Rebecca in appliances spent 2 hours with myself and my sister picking out appliances, cabinets and countertops. She was so knowledgeable and so patient. We accomplished a shopping trip that we expected to require several trips and several stores. Can't say enough good. And Seth! He helped with loading . Wonderful young man!

Heidi & Dawn in the Paint Dept. were terrific. I had a DIY project I wanted to do, but had no idea where to start or what correct materials I would need. Together they made certain I that I not only got everything, but I also knew how to use them. I can't say enough good things about how knowledgeable, professional, and encouraging they are. Then when I couldn't find what I was looking for in the Lumber dept, I stopped the first person I saw in a Lowe's vest. I had the great good fortune it was Jason in that vest & though he said he doesn't work in that dept (as a way of explaining why he wasn't sure when the saw would be fixed) he went above & beyond to make sure I got exactly what I needed. At one point, Jason even tracked me down while I was finishing up my shopping to update me on when they would be able to use the saw to cut items for customers. Finally, Allen was a tremendous asset for me at the self check-out. He was very helpful & friendly. Then only negative I can share is the lack of operable scooters for disabled customers. My shopping experience would be much much better if one was available. Walking is painful and challenging for me, and I am forced to limit my time in the store if I have to walk.

So this last section below is my old review when they had good mgmt. Unfortunately, imma have to update...my husband went today and came back upset. The item he was looking for said available online at that store. When he asked for help finding it, a worker told him, "we got what we got" then, he tries to use the mens retroom and a butch female comes out of the mens restroom. I dont care what Biden brains wanna argue, a femalebhas no business in a multi-stall/urinal mens restroom. Its a shame the old review from before shown after this update could not have remained in affect. Also, there were no manned checkout labels. The only option was to use self checkout. I sure wish more people respected customer service, 1st world living, rights to privacy and God-given gender. Men and women alike have the right to use the bathroom without exposing or being exposed to the opposite sex.Old review: Lauren was very helpful and friendly. If all shopping experiences could be like that it would be a plus. Also, the lady that normally works implements is very helpful friendly and knowledgeable. She was not available at the time so Lauren did the best she could. However come up even though I don't know that lady's name she deserves major props as well.

If only I could use the proper words! Although the store is clean they often put things in the wrong place with incorrect pricing. It's hard to get help although there are a few who are very helpful. I would caution people who deal with the manager Sharron. She's always quick to get an attitude as well as rude the way she carries herself. I've dealt with her numerous times in the past 3 days and on other occasions. She is ride to who she chooses and Lord forbid she has to actually has to put in work and help someone. She just makes the liwes experience horrible. Martinsville is so much better all the way around

visited the Rocky Mount Virginia store today. 03-13-23 at noon. location was out of item number202922 fence picket. no one in garden center, so I went to the pro desk, should have just went home. the young lady I spoke to was certainly not a Pro. I have been a Lowes card holder for 30 years, she is by far the worst employee I have dealt with in all these years. Her and a gentleman were working the pro desk, no other customers at the pro desk but me, I guess they were to busy to help me? I asked the young lady if she could check to see when more product was coming in? I gave her the size and before I could pull out an old receipt with the item number her response was "we have many different pickets inside and out and she had to have the item number? I guess all the store computers and catalogs of items are just for show? I am greatly disappointed but I certainly will not do business with her.

Hardly ever have what I need, when they do it's very lack luster. Staff is hard to come by and when you do find them they rarely know where things are, if they have them, or why their prices are so bad. Fix your website too, it's irritating as hell to see "pick up in store available" to go and find out you can ONLY order it online. Treat their employees AWFUL, wrongful firing happens all the time and turn over here is atrocious. Though I'm not surprised given how little they pay their workers and how easily their managers betray them to save themselves from corporate. This company needs massive work and revision from the top down

The last shift seems full of helpful and fun people. Overall a hit and miss for service. I dont like them having cashiers in the evening... self checkout only... except for contractor exit. I do like lowes leaving carts here and there. Nice. Mike

Having 5 self checkouts & 1 regular register open is quite ridiculous. You have people with multiple items that just want a person to deal with checking them out. So you end up with 2 people in the do it yourself lanes, & 8 to 10 waiting in line at one register. Ridiculous!!! Tractor Supply & Harbor Freight looking better all the time.
