Nice Goodwill in Rocky Mount. I found a chess set here for $3! The employees are extremely friendly. I chatted with a few of them casually for nearly 15 minutes and got some recommendations for restaurants in the area. They told me to please stop by and see them again soon, and they took one of my brother Christopher's missing person flyers.

Not sure what happened with this store but the employees used to be so friendly (don’t think anyone that used to work there a month or so ago still work there) but went in there this evening and the employees are very rude!!! A lot of the things they do sell are junk ( seen one time where they had a coffee pot in there that had a nasty old coffee filter with moldy coffee grounds in it still), prices are getting ridiculous for donated products ( $15 for a used duck taped Christmas blow up). Something needs to be done with this store!!!

It's not your typical Forever 21, but you can find some pretty good stuff in here. it's one of my favorite places to shop. (Especially since I have no money) 😎

So much cleaner, nicer products, and fewer shoppers than Roanoke Goodwill Stores. Whenever I go through Rocky Mount or on 220 South, I always try to make a quick stop here. Very welcoming, clean fitting rooms, restrooms, and lots of variety and organization in used goods and clothing.10/27/22Still the nicest, cleanest and most organized Goodwill store around. I've noticed a price increase, (as everywhere) but pricing an item higher than it's tagged retail price is not good business, especially for those who NEED to shop here. Flower vases that used to be .99 are now 1.99, jeans are up to $7.99. It's getting to be used thrift store goods at a regular retailers price.

Most of what they have is either cheap junk or broken, but everything is way overpriced. Sometimes it's even above retail prices, they will put $3 on something that still has the price from the store marked as $2. I also heard an employee say that if an item doesn't have a sticker, "just make it a crazy high price". Used to be a good place to shop for inexpensive stuff, now it's overpriced junk. When they ask you to round up and you say no they act offended, just bad all around.

I have been coming here for years but this Wednesday marked the final time due to an employee that is there now. I don't know her name but can she has rusty red hair and a neck that is redder. She NEVER smiles, NEVER greets customers but she sure has scowling down to an art as that's the look that seems to be permanently on her face. She walks around spinning her office key like she is some kinda special. The past 3 times I have been in the store she has been complaining about something or another to her fellow employees or grumbling out loud to herself as she walks through the store. I'm not trying to hear her snide remarks or see glum faces when I go to shop...it used to be relaxing but she has changed that. I can tell you now that she is a bad link and will cause others to stop coming as well as causing employees to leave. I would highly advise you get rid of the bad link before the whole store buckles. She appears to be miserable there & it's bleeding out around her daily. Worst experiences I have ever had at any store & all 3 times she was the reason.

When I 1st moved here I went weekly but it was the same stuff. NOW I go once a year and it feels like it's the same stuff. I wish it had more knick knacks and house hold goods. I feels like the toys and games and furniture gets sent to different location. Clothing needs to be under $3 because there's way too much clothing.A simple solution is create incentives like if you donate items you get 15% off our next purchase.

I found what I was looking for. The young lady that checked us out was wonderful. Her eyes smiled when she was talking to us. She made me feel important. You don't get that very often. It was appreciated.

I usually do not shop at this location.Stopped in today and found some really nice children's clothes .Hanging on racks at any other Goodwill are always 1.99.RoanokeSalemSmith mountain lakeNorth Carolina locationsBut for some reason this location charges 1.99 /x2So if u have a shorts outfit hanging on one rack together its 4.00PJs are 4.00On sign at back it informs u they are 1.99So I will not go back there.I feel they are taking advantage of people when they are checking out.

So I went down to the Goodwill to drop off some donation items kids clothes, kids toys, women's clothes, shoes Etc. the lady finally came out and told me that next time I needed to knock harder or to pull over the Bell because I inconvenienced her by sitting the stuff by the door before she came out there. I didn't even know that you had to drive over a bell for 1 and for two I told the lady next time I won't be knocking harder I will be taking them somewhere else to donate them. there was another man donating items out there they spoke to him and the whole time they just ignored me all because I didn't run over the Bell. He even mentioned how rude they was being to me. Honestly if she was my employee speaking to my customers like that she wouldn't have a job.

I've donated a few things to this Goodwill in Rocky Mount. I think this is a good location but I personally think the locations in Roanoke are much better. I was addressed as "buddy" by pretty much every employee at this Goodwill in Rocky Mount. Also, the employees made a comment to me last week when I donated some old suits of mine. I went through the pockets of the suits in my truck before I gave them to the kid. I heard the kid ask his coworker "Hey, why is he going through all the pockets"? His coworker joked "He's probably a drug user" and laughed. They also joked "His truck is probably loaded with drugs". My truck is a work truck....and I don't find that kind of joke funny. The locations in Roanoke would never have employees cracking this kind of joke and they always address you as "sir" if they don't know your name. Plus they are kids and I am an older man. They are half my age.

So much stuff to choose from.. Staff helpful and friendly. I also paid it forward to a lady.. I paid for her items.. I recommend this VERY clean store.. They're wiping buggies down constantly..The staff was dealing with an argumentative lady about a dollar item and they remained calm and curtious after the lady said I have all kinds of witnesses this was in the dollar bin. I recommend shopping here!!!

Nice selection today. It always changes but I can seem to find something most stops. Today, husband lucked out. My only complaint is I think their prices are getting too high, but I guess lots of things are getting more expensive. I like that they put all sizes together rather than having plus sizes separate.

I like Goodwill stores some are better than others. I do not like Most of the PRICES Now they keep going up And UPPPP!! And everything they get is Donated. Only half good prices is on clothes that's the color of the week.

I've shopped at at least 8-10 stores; aisles of jeans here, too, but lots more tops, vests, jackets, and sweaters. Not much in housewares, though, but all Goodwill's are unique. Better brands here. That's neat!

Today May 2, 2019 I visited the store in Rocky Mount and it was spotless. Always clean and staff is nice but today sa y there was extra effort in neatness.Thank your staff for a great job.

Funny how they price items! LOL! They put $2 on a frame that came from The Dollar Tree! A friend of mine picked up another item and the original cost on the package was $1 from retail. Guess how much they priced it. You guessed it.....$1! I go in and look every now and then, but I never donate. I give my junk to the Rescue Mission to be sold to feed the hungry. From what I understand, GOODWILL only takes free things to make the fat cats at the top fatter and they don't really help the disabled. When they ask me if I would like to round-up, I just smile and say no thank you.

Used to be fair prices, the markup for JUNK is amazing. Trying to sell 3 lil speakers from an old surround sound set for 24.99, old busted printer for same price, I’ll just dumpster dive, thanks. Won’t come here again.

This Goodwill is one of my favorites. The Goodwill in Westlake is a good one too but this one is bigger and has more of a selection. I always find something there and I never leave disappointed. There is always a treasure to be found.

One of the cashiers were so rude, I was having a conversations with another customer and the cashier thought since I was African American that I wouldn't be doing anything with my life, so when the customer I was talking to asked what I was going to school for and I replied Criminal Justice, she mumbled under her breath, "I couldn't see that at all." I was about to just cancel my transaction, but I just ignored it.

I have always wondered people give you stuff but stuffed cost just as much as Walmart sometime but you can find some good stuff in there if it's overpriced all you have to do is go to Walmart if it's cheaper than Walmart and snatch it up and get it before anyone else does they do have a lot to valuables in there you never know what you'll find at your local Goodwill store.

One mans trash in another man's treasure and Goodwill will sale you just that! Larger than your average Goodwill, there's a lot to pick through. If you have the time, it might be worth your money.

Between me and girlfriend we always find some great bargains. The store is very well organized.
