I visited this shelter with the intent of adopting another cat. The shelter was clean. The cats they had available were healthy. I selected Sabre (formerly known as Duchess) and felt she picked me as well. She is adapting to her new home with me and has become my other cat's playmate. My Vet examined her, and she's in good health. I would recommend this shelter to anyone looking to adopt over any other shelter in the area.

I love to visit with the pups! I make donations of food and chew snacks whenever I can. The staff are loving, caring, helpful people who all work hard to see to the health and medical needs of all the precious fur babies in their care.

Wonderful place they take very good care of the guests. Always try and come here first if you can to help clear the shelters these guys and girls deserve loving homes. The old man I got is so thankful for me getting him he's 8yo kitty. I might have to go back and get him a younger kitty to make sure he stays active playing.

BEWARE!!!!!! THIS PLACE LIES TO FAMILIES AND GIVES THESE DOG TO WHO EVER THEY LIKE THE MOST NOT FIRST APPLICATION LIKE THEY SAY IF YOU ARE A BIRACIAL FAMILY YOU HAVE NO CHANCE AND THEY WILL DISCRIMINATE !!! MY FAMILY WAS TREATED HORRIBLE BY THESE PEOPLE INCLUDING THE COP 50 QUESTIONING OUR FAMILY BUT NO OTHER FAMILY LIKE THAT!!! ADOPT FROM ANOTHER PLACE NOT HERE THIS PLACE THEY WILL HAVE U AND UR FAMILY MEET WITH N PUT APPLICATIONS IN ON DOGS THEY DONT KNOW ARE HEALTH ND CAN EVEN BE ADOPTED AND DONT DISCLOSE IT IF YOU WANT UR HEART BROKEN COME HERE !! IF YOU WANT A PLACE THAT TRULY JUST WANTS A LOVING HOME GO OUTSIDE FRANKLIN COUNTY !!!!!!!!!

Super nice folks. The animals seemed very well cared for. I wish it could have worked out with dog I went to see but they took my information and will let me know if any puppers come in that would fit better with our family.

Called Friday, January 27th to inquire about a dog. Spoke to Brianna multiple times about the process to apply to adopt a dog. Never once was anything mentioned about an online application. I did let them know I would be there first thing Saturday morning to apply. We were told first come, first serve and no holds. After trying to pay over the phone to hold him. We get there to be told that we had to fill an application & that no appointment was needed. We get there to one family would beat us but their dog didn't get along with the same one we were inquiring about. Once that family left, they continued to give me the run around. After being told first come first serve, we were confident that we would have the next chance. We were then told that another family acquired about the dog but is driving 4 hours to come and see it. As soon as this family walked in, they were whisked away to the back, id'd& was handed an application in front of me. I confronted them about the unfairness of the situation and was kept being pushed to the side. One of the volunteers rolled her eyes and kept making sarcastic remarks and faces at me (duck lips). Then the other volunteer stepped in trying to "calm me down" after I called their bluff. I lost my temper, cussed and called names. I was mad. No one even tried to even talked to me. Nothing but the run around. They kept avoiding the situation and left me completely out. After telling them I was going Facebook they told me to leave. Be careful when dealing with this group of women. They lied to me & my family & gave the dog right out from under me. The held the dog after telling us they don't hold them. I was there before the other family who had an apt and was late to. I waited 1.5 hours for the other family to show up to said apt. We were never told of no appointment scheduling or anything after talking to this clinic 5 different times and told them we would be there Saturday. I told them I would be taking this to the county and Facebook and they have blocked me. BE WARE! This is after I not only drove 2 hours there and waited 1.5 hours and once was never talked to or any explanation. Just straight disrespect and unprofessionalism. If you make a mistake, speak up on it. Don't waste my time and be fair! I could imagine if I had children and brought them up there. They let us rub and play with him and everything. So unfai!

Great shelter don’t know who runs it now, but I remember when Miss Faye Hicks ran it one of the kindest ladies you ever met, and she truly had a heart for the animals and people
