After today, I will never use Walgreens again. I'm done with their shady practices and dangerous handling of my medication. The pharmacy is the worst experience I have ever had with any pharmacy across this country! I'm from a Navy family and we have lived in 8 different locations from coast to coast. I've used Walgreens for 25 years.The Pharmacists: The pharmacist at this location likes to over-ride a doctor's prescription. They will argue with you in front of multiple people about your prescription, why you need it, when you were prescribed, and your medical history. Did you catch that? IN FRONT OF MULTIPLE PEOPLE. Then, they will refuse to fill it if they don't agree with the doctor.The pharmacy staff: They botch orders directly called in by my doctor. They will then lie and claim my doctor didn't send in such a prescription when I was right there watching her do it and watching the completed screen. The prescription will then magically appear after speaking with several people about it.They lie about speaking with my doctor. When they are confronted with the lie, they make up other excuses (plural).They lie about insurance coverage. I was told my medicine wasn't covered and it would be almost $200. I called my provider and was told they were never contacted and yes, it IS covered. I finally had to go with another generic and my doctor had to call something else in because this staff refused to acknowledge their lie. They were sticking with their story.I was told today that another of my medicines is not covered and would cost $168. Thankfully, this particular medicine is available on the shelf. Since my doctor wanted me to have it, she called it in as a prescription but it isn't prescription-only. After days of this medicine being ignored and then marked as "Delayed," staff told me it wasn't covered by insurance and would be $168. I found the medicine on the shelf for $16. So not only is Walgreens Pharmacy lazy, incompetent, and deceitful, but they are evidently overcharging on purpose.The worst of it: They told me one medication wasn't covered by my insurance. The cost would be $4,960. I spoke with my doctor and she told me she never had an issue where insurance wouldn't pay for it. She changed the prescription to an equivalent but same kind of medicine. Walgreens filled this one. My insurance would have paid for the other but Walgreens still claims they didn't.

In all my life I have never dealt with people as rude as the people who work here. Ran out of blood pressure medication and was told if I was taking properly I wouldn’t be out. First of all it’s blood pressure medicine, not taken recreationally. I could have easily misplaced or lost some of my medicine. Will never deal with them again. Changing pharmacy asap:

Store was somewhat disorganized, as associates were sorting, packing and stocking Christmas goods. Only one associate was working the main check out as well as the photo section, so waits at both were evident. Lots of debris was in the parking lot and especially in the bushes, but the store was clean. Associate was friendly, efficient and seemed to know their job well. The store seemed well stocked, with prices and signage easy to read. There were shoppers waiting at the pharmacy, and overall the store seemed understaffed.Added 4/24/22I've been faithfully using the Walgreens photo services regularly over the past few months. There is still only one associate working the front check out, and must walk over to the photo area for customer photo pick up, so waits are frequent at photo. As to the photo quality, it's good, but absolutely fast, usually within an hour if submitted on line. I've had a few difficulties with the photos received, but the associate was always ready to remedy the problem, usually without charge. Wonderful customer service in remedying the situation! Store was more organized than previously, with well stocked shelves. Walgreens just needs more motivated and well trained associates to provide better service.Added: July 5, 2022Submitted some photos to Walgreens on Brambleton Ave, Roanoke, VA through the Internet about 8am. Amazingly, they were ready before 9am. I went to the photo desk to pick them up...and waited for over 10 minutes for a staff to appear. Recently, this Walgreens is severely understaffed, and the front register staff have to walk the front of the store to help someone with photos, leaving no one to handle store check outs. Customer lines can form at both the front register and photo desk, leaving the poor front associate to ineffectively handle both service needs. This was the case for my photo pick up, as several shoppers were waiting at the front register. Finally, a smiling Stacy appeared and handled my needs quickly and efficiently, but I don't know her position in the store hierarchy.Added Sat. July 16, 2022When I arrived NO associate's were seen. I waited over 15 minutes at the photo desk, and saw no associates at the front register or photo desk. When one did arrive, no apology was offered. Walgreens number of stars goes down with each review!Sept. 26, 22As usual, only one associate manning the front of the store, going back and forth between front check out and photo. In photo, I had two packs of pictures to pick up, but the associate could only locate one, and offered no remedy or explanation. I did not press the issue, and will return later. Halloween candy displays were up, as in photos.1/20/23Staffing still remains an issue here. There was excessive trash, cig butts and debris in the parking lot and bushes. See photos.2/19/23Parking lot and grounds never cleaned. Valentine candy 70% off, so good deal. See photos.3/26/23Same as it ever was! Dirty parking lot, understaffed, long waits at pharmacy.

News everybody, if you would like to do a class action lawsuit it’s on. I just got Walgreens to admit that they are controlling patients medication regardless of controlled or not. Everyone can thank Tiffany and Jacob for their wonderful information. Oh yeah, on a recorded line!

Would rate lower if I could. I sent in a request to have a prescription filled over a week ago, which said it would be ready three days after my request. Fast forward to today, almost two weeks later, the prescription is still “in progress” with no feedback on if it has even been ordered or not. I have called the store three separate times and each time I wait through the line of people ahead of me, I am met with 40 minutes of silence because nobody will pick up the phone. Either that or I get disconnected from the call entirely. All I want is communication (and my prescriptions!) and I am not getting either. Very unprofessional and horribly run. I have been loyal to Walgreens for years with no issues until the last few months, but not anymore. Luckily, I can go without my prescription for a while, but others cannot. Lives are being put in jeopardy over laziness and a lack of clarity. Maybe work through your precious lunches and overtime to get people’s needs met.

This Walgreens is the worst! Every time I c9me in for a prescription they never have it ready and it's always wrong! I get messages saying they are ready and they aren't! Came 8n twice for one and still wasn't ready

I wish I could give this place a negative rating. The pharmacy employees are consistently rude, dismissive, and - I wouldn't level this accusation lightly - pathological liars.They say they're going to call, they never do.They say they're going to text, they never do.They say they have a medicine in stock - they don't.They say that it will he ready on 2 hours, I come back in 3, and they say it will be another two hours.This is the worst drug store I've ever been to, bar none.

Placed online order waited 1hour and 15 minutes. Should of been ready in 30 minutes. Waited outside for 20 minutes called store to see if it was ready, person told me it was just bagged up. Waited 20 more minutes for the text message and it never came through. Went in to find out that no one scanned it so it would send me a notification. My advice don't oder online,if you got the time go in and get it. Oh then I had to bring my online order out and load myself.

Absolutely horrendous service. My wife went by 6 hours before they were to close and they said the prescription would be ready later. She goes back 30 minutes before closing time and they say it will not be ready until the next day and there are 200 prescriptions to fill ahead of mine. Why didn't they tell us this earlier? Now I cannot take the medicine that was prescribed to me in the Emergency Department and I will have to suffer the night in pain. Last time I ever use Walgreens for anything!

Some people are just pure evil and no amount of education will make them better..After being prescribed antibiotics for my baby I went to the Franklin and Wonju St branch to pickup the medication, however they were closed so I was told instore that I could pick it up at Brambleton walgreens.Just to ensure that it was received I called the Brambleton walgreens and spoke with the Registered pharmacist on duty, she told me the prescription was not received which means the Doctor did not send it over before Wonju branch was closed. I called the Doctors office to find out what was happening because before i left the nurse confirmed that it was sent, On the call the nurse again confirmed the exact time it was accepted by Walgreens. I called back Brambleton walgreens with the Doctors Office on the line to speak with them, this time I spoke with Kerra the pharmacy technician who, even before speaking with the doctors office checked the child's account and saw the prescription.I went to the drive thru at Brambleton to pick up the medication and was met with the nastiest of attitude from both the pharmacist and technician. I asked if there are any side effects to look out for in the baby, and it was another nasty attitude from the pharmacist who had lied to me on the phone. I told her with that attitude I was not comfortable with them mixing medication for my child to ingest. I always follow my gut feeling, I left without taking the medication. These two people are doing the public a disservice.

I recently shopped at this Walgreens and was forced to wait in excess of 20 minutes at the register for a correction on a mispriced item. The level of indifference shown by both the cashier and manager was hard to believe. If management doesn't care, who does?

Pharmacy staff member had her mask below her chin the entire time I was waiting for a vaccination, and they are BUSY. She interacted with at least 10 other customers, some not masked as well. She was sniffling quite a bit, which makes everyone uneasy these days. Tried to stay far enough away so didn't see her name tag. Short blond with pigtail braids.Very disappointing from the pharmacy staff. This is the first time I've had a mask issue at this location. Come on folks!!Update, her name is Sadie. A customer was not happy about an hour plus wait for a vaccination and she was very disrespectful as the customer walked away. Several others waiting also heard this disgusting behavior. I'm done at this Walgreens going forward..

Worst customer service, I have been there 3 times today for a common eye drop and they still “don’t know when it will be ready”. Their excuse as it has been the last 3 prescriptions is “we don’t have enough staff” as they sit and laugh and cut up while your sitting and waiting! I will never return nor will I advise my clients to ever come back! This is not the first time I have had a bad interaction and I never leave bad reviews but enough is enough! I’m sure they will also not care as I have called to discuss how poor their customer service is in the past and I get a call back saying “thank you we will look into it”, which seems to mean nothing. This review is placed to try and save you from waisting your timr.

Walgreens switched my contact and address to my ex’s information without my knowledge.They tried to claim only I or my doctor could do that, but my doctor has no connection to that information and I would NEVER.Either someone outside of Walgreens changed it that should have never been able to or Walgreens MESSED UP BIG TIME and switched it themselves.Either way it should’ve never happened and no one should be able to change any of my information without proving they are me.HUGE breech of medical privacy.

Fantastic speedy service! Transferred my script to this store after Salem Walgreens broke down and fell apart! Got a pharmacist on the phone who quickly checked my status and filled the script as I had hoped for! Great result -will continue to patronize this store!

Melissa in the pharmacy is amazingly helpful. She showed me how to save HUNDREDS of dollars on my prescriptions. There was also a gentleman, whose name I didn't get, he was pleasant and helpful also.I'm very glad I switched to this pharmacy, everyone was so happy to help their customers.

Walgreens at The corner of Brambleton Roanoke Virginia is outstanding. They work with the patient / customer so they are satisfied when leaving the store. Everyone from the pharmacy to the front, photo and the entire store are so very friendly . They speak when you come in the store and are always ready to assist you. I have never left this store unhappy and I am there anywhere from 2-3 times every 7-10 days. Have had very unpleasant experiences at other local pharmacies but "My Walgreens can not be beat!". My daughters and their families all get scripts filled at this Walgreens and I just converted my brother who was very happy with the service he received. Thank you Walgreens for doing a great job and keep up the great work. I would give you 10 stars if it was an option😁👍🏼

This is by far the worst Walgreens I have ever been to. I have used them 3 times for my medication and every time they didn’t have it in stock and said they would order it. The first time this happened, they said it was ordered and never did order it, second time med medication was called in and after 2 days I called and they said they didn’t have it so they would order it. [it should have been ordered the day my prescription was called in] the third time my prescription was called in, I went to get it the next day and they said they did have it. I told them to cancel everything I had with them because I wouldn’t be coming back.

The worse pharmacy in Roanoke ! The employees have a “ I don’t care attitude “ .I have had the Brambleton Ave location forget to order my prescriptions on a monthly basis even though I have been promised over and over by the pharmacy manager that she would make sure they would be kept in stock . You also can not rely on the pharmacy even being open on it’s regular posted hours .

If I could give a negative I would. I have been lied to soooo many times it’s just absurd now. 1st lie- Rx date the 20th, ask to get it filled on 18th so I pick up on the 21st. I then later ask to fill on 18th again- dr said you can’t get it filled early(later prove was a lie)…. Hmm ok2nd lie-I again ask to have filled on 20th,- told its to early to have filled…??? Ok get filled on the 21st… 3rd lie-call to get refilled on 21st- we don’t have enough to fill full Rx you can call back to get rest. Ok… 4 days later-ma’am we don’t do partial refills on that Rx you have the dr call in new Rx …. Dr calls in new Rx have it filled on the 25th…4th lie- call the 22nd to have Rx filled - ma’am it’s to early to have Rx filled have to wait till the 25th … call have Rx filled 26th don’t pick it up till 28th.. 5th lie- call 24 to have Rx filled - ma’am it’s to early you have to wait till the 28th….. 6th lie - call the 27th to have Rx filled- ma’am the dr said you can’t get your Rx filled early…. (Messaged and called my Dr… he said he never said anything of the sort and have never said anything of the sort, back to lie 1) 7th- lie call next time day early.,-ma’am the dr said .. wait before you finish that I’ve called my Dr and he said he never said what your about to say. Nevertheless I called them out on all their lies… they then say well we can’t fill the Rx early. If you look on my original Rx the date is the 20th but because of all the problems I’ve had it’s now on the 29th… last lie was jus recently… again with “running out” with supply (knowing you have several pts with this type of Rx) the person on the phone said it’s ok with partial refill I have them repeat the Rx and that it was fine they said they could see the original date and yes it was ok… wellll I called back to get the rest of the Rx… and yes low and behold… “no ma’am you can’t do a partial refill it voids out the Rx at time of fill the person must have been confused on the type of Rx, so you can get the new Rx on the 26th”… that’s ok I’m done. The last bottle ( unbeknownst to person on phone) says partial refill can be picked up on and it has the original date of the Rx… you know where I’m going with this……

Isaac assistant manager is rude. I just said I wanted to double check I wasn't paying for my photos twice because I ordered from snapfish and they usually charge my card. He started talking back immediately about how he knows better etc... He was annoyed with other customers and took it out on me.Will not come back to this store. With so many CVS and walgreens I wouldn't choose this one ever again.

Came in Monday to pick up two prescription was told to come back in 20 minutes which I did. Then was told they had to order my prescription come back in 2 days. Three days later I came to pick up the prescriptions, was told its not ready, have to wait 20 minutes. Just now two people visited the counter both of them were told its not ready they could come back or wait. Is this normal practice? I will seek another pharmacy. I am sad to say they are not doing anyone any favors.

I have been shopping here for years. It is my go-to place for everything. But for the last several months or more the beauty consultant WILL NOT LEAVE ME ALONE! She is obsessed with making sure I check out at her register. I am sure she is commissioned and I respect that but she will literally follow me around the store and spy on which aisle I am in and keep reminding me to check out with her only. Even if I only get 1 beauty item and 10 non-beauty items, according to her I have to buy all items at her register. I feel harrassed every time I go in the store and I'm done with it. Not going back.

Cashiers at this Walgreens on Brambleton are very friendly however there is a pharmacist who is rather rude. He’s an older gentleman with white hair and white beard. I came in to drop off a prescription for my family member. I was interested in purchasing a knee brace and while he was standing there, I thought I would ask him about it. I asked “sir, excuse me, do you have any knee braces”? He rudely replied “I don’t know. Why don’t you go and see”? Then he said “I don’t know all the inventory... and I’m busy.. so I don’t have any time to answer your questions” wow. He’s a pharmacist? He should be more kind and willing to help.

This place has everything and bests CVS hands down! The people who work there are so much friendlier than those horrible people who work for CVS. Walgreens at Brambleton and Rt 419 is fantastic. Everyone there is so nice to everyone, it's a pleasure to shop there.

Horrible experience. No one answers the phone. Tried store and pharmacy both 10x each. Was hung up/ disconnected every time. Totally ridiculous and unacceptable to be unreachable for customers needing prescriptions.
