I truly never leave negative reviews, but I had such a terrible experience today! I have gone to this location before and had excellent service. The male manager with the long brown hair is the absolute best!Unfortunately, today I went to pick up an order and I encountered the rudest employee/manager. The young lady with the Roanoke college hoodie and the very large nose piercing was immediately rude for no reason. In addition to being rude, she wasn’t helpful at all. She couldn’t do something simple like produce a printed invoice without a terrible attitude. If you can’t handle working with customers, you absolutely should get a different job. There is no reason to be rude to people who are being nothing but kind. I hope ownership will hire someone helpful and respectful (or at least polite) in her place.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience interacting with Hannah during my visit. Not only was she impolite and dismissive towards customers, but her demeanor towards her colleagues was also unprofessional. This behavior created a negative atmosphere, diminishing the overall quality of service.

The customer service at the Valley View location in Roanoke Virginia is absolutely horrible! The young lady working in the store, Hannah, has the worst customer service skills with customers I've ever seen in any store anywhere. I wish I could say that today was my first interaction with her at the store but it's not it's the third and final attempt I'm giving this location. I highly recommend anyone that needs to visit Staples to go to the other Roanoke location or seek your products and services elsewhere.

Guy at UPS drop off area at 3:25pm on Feb 26th has MAJOR attitude. Threw my package forcefully into a box and I was nothing but polite to him. Told me with attitude to go around the desk as if I should have known. He had long brown hair. Took everything within me not to yell. Please fire him.

Yesterday I attempted to return an Amazon purchase, walked up to the door and the associate told me that the store was being closed due to lack of staff.I was really upset because it was only 7pm and the store wasn't scheduled to close until 8pm...((ONE SAD SAD SAD CONSUMER))

Don’t understand how they have a UPS in staples and they can do Amazon returns but a regular return to Apple where all I need is a tacking number is not possible to do here ?? Don’t come here if you need something shipped.

I don't like to write negative reviews on a business, I bought an office chair and the asurion warranty. The chair became defective within 3 months I did the process of a claim was told staples was to fix it never happened called the store manager he gave me email address instructions I called Three times to confirm email because it wasn't going through never heard anything from the store my advice don't bother with the insurance and don't expect anything else either

I had two posters mounted on foam board, and the staff was extremely helpful to answer my questions and very friendly. I was also able to use a coupon I had which was wonderful, and today received a $10 off print services in my email. The posters turned out great!

While the prices are competitive and their online service is good, the in-store pickup leaves something to be desired.Organization is sloppy and the store is a mess. It would have been better to pay the $6 shipping charge than to do free pickup. The e-mail said it was ready. It was not. Associates attempted to be helpful, but haphazard stacks of papers and products made their jobs difficult to execute. It was a frustrating experience.

Had an issue with a tablet that I bought from them, and The Tech Guy David fixed it in no time, and went above and beyond. He told me he was not going to let me walk out of that store unless I was happy. This is what customer service is supposed to be like. I will always bring my business to this establishment. Someone needs to give David a raise because he's going above and beyond his duties. Great job dude.

You can get these supplies at a lot of places. It's people that matter. The employees are rude and dismissive. Instead of helping someone solve a problem, they prefer to make you feel stupid for thinking they would offer a specific service. Until Staples trains their young employees how to help and feel empathy, I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Recently stepped into this store (albeit near closing time) to purchase some card stock so I could distribute pictures in envelopes at my mother's memorial service the next day. It would have taken the copy desk clerk five minutes to cut twenty pieces with her large paper cutter, but she said it was too close to closing. When I told her it was for mother's memorial service, she replied she didn't care it was too late. Needless to say I was shocked. I'm calling Staples national customer service line and will report this store and this employee, and tomorrow morning I'll seek out a different store and hoped to be treated more courteously and compassionately. Pitiful customer service.

Eh. The store is clean, that's about the extent of it. Recently remodeled to somehow be smaller and put another (not yet open) storefront where 1/4 of the store used to be. I was in there dropping off some ink cartridges this weekend and checked to see if prices on various items had come down. Nope! I'm not sure how Staples stays in business with Target and Walmart on basically each side of it, that sell the same items for several dollars less each.

Well I've been pass it many times never went in, eh it looks small may have lots of options,but the service sounds bad if you think it would become okay in the end. My cousins said that they had some good people there, so it really depends on experience to experience.

Went to Tanglewood Staples first, the stock was not marked clearly and an employee had to leave and come back for each price needed. From there went to Valley View Staples and store was well organized and well stocked.
