highly recommend! this place is amazing. we walked into the mall to get a swimsuit. we aren’t from around there so we went into puppy love. as soon as we walked in we saw a french bull dog. at that point we noticed we couldn’t go home without him. we aren’t very fond of dogs that are from a shop and not from a shelter. but he was too adorable. the staff there was so caring and helpful. they told us everything we needed to know and even gave us a free collar and leash! are dog now (loki) so so sweet and sassy! i couldn’t have chosen a better place to find a great friend from.

How can these puppies be healthy with vents full of dust?These stores always have one thing in mind, making money. They don’t care about the animals and have a cover story of where the puppies come from.Do your research on puppy mills.The treatment of these animals for profit is disgusting!

The prices are unbelievable. There are too many animals in shelters across the country to justify charging a car valuation on a puppy mill pet. My motorcycle honestly costs less than their most popular breeds. The animals seem well cared for considering the living environment (glass boxes basically) but sometimes the smell is less pleasant than other days. The staff is absolutely amazing customer service wise and surely don't set pricing. Our daughter loves to just go in to see them whenever we are there for the bookstore downstairs. I appreciate that staff isn't pushy towards sales on those visits

I've had my puppy, Remington (former Puppy Love name Gideon) since June of 2021 and he has been the best. He was very healthy and passed all his vet exams. He is highly social, hardly ever barks and has been the perfect companion. Remi comes to work with me in Senior Living and is about to become an Instagram star. He's already been featured in the Senior Living Guide as one of Roanoke's Pet celebrities! I love my little dog and so do the residents at The Harmony Collection at Roanoke! <3 Come by and see him any time! I've already recommended the store to so many people and even my groomer wants a pup like him!

Puppy Love has changed my life and given me three of my greatest blessings in life. I can honestly say I don't know what I would do without my babies. I bought my first Siberian Husky, Stormfang, in December of 2015. Roughly 4 months later I bought my second Siberian Husky, Sylvanas, in March of 2016. Then a few days over a year I bought my third dog, a German Shepherd named Chase in March of 2017. They are my best friends and their isn't any amount money in this world I wouldn't pay for them. This store gets a lot of negative reviews from people who have never bought a dog and people who have no idea how the business is ran. I am exceptionally proud of the owners and every employee for caring for the dogs the way they do. The fact that they develop a personal relationship with their breeders and have such strict standards for their breeders makes me as a customer feel at ease. The employees are always extremely knowledgeable and ready to assist whenever they can. I can tell you I will never buy another dog unless it comes from Puppy Love.

I must admit that I had always been skeptical of this place, but I’m glad I gave them a shot. Over the period of two play dates, we met 3 puppies. Every single one seemed very happy and healthy. As did the other dogs we didn’t physically come Into contact with. All the staff that we met were happy to help us with all the many questions we had and were super patient and friendly. We did buy a dog there and he is the sweetest thing. You can tell that he spent happy times there and was taken care of.I’m not sure if we will ever get a second puppy, but if we do, we will look here first. The price you pay is worth every penny.

Lots of cute puppies I wanted to buy, couldn't afford and decided to go adopt. You should too. But the staff was great and if you are willing to spend $4k on a puppy this is a good place and the puppies look well cared for.

If you want to get a puppy, adopt. The dogs here are thousands of dollars and are all specialty bred mixes. The ASPCA or other local places are way easier on your wallet and the puppies will be just as adorable. The staff here never greet us when we go just to get a cute fix while at the mall and it's always so crowded. Very tight space.

We got our pug here during the fourth of July weekend and he has been the sweetest thing. He already knows sit and has his little cues on when he needs to go potty. Vet said he is very healthy and taken care of. He was worth every penny!

Yikes. Yikes is all I can say.I went in to look at pet supplies and I checked out the puppies while doing so. I saw a husky who had yellow-green snot dripping out of his/her nose, one cage that had puddles of diarrhea on the floor of it, and a couple of the pups were coughing in that nasty, rattling, tell-tale kennel cough way. I had to disinfect my shoes before I went back home because I didn't want my dog to catch anything from those poor pups.It's sad because they're adorable pups, but clearly not taken care of properly. Then I looked at the price tags. Good lord. $2k-$6k for low quality bred dogs? Lots of the puppies had poor structure for their breed, like the husky pup who was extremely fine-boned and tall, had a very tightly curled tail, and a strange snipey head. Lots of their purebreds don't look like purebreds, basically.If you're looking for a puppy, please go to an ethical breeder, not a "puppy shop".

Puppy Love takes excellent care of the puppies, keeps the crates and store clean and are very friendly.Most of the puppies if not all are Akc or Ckc registered. Not from puppy Mills!!All the salespeople are friendly and take the time to help the customer.They have a wonderful selection of food, treats and products for your dog.Check them out!

I took home my first puppy from here about 2 months ago. He’s my little angel and I’m so blessed to have him in my life. The owners truly work with quality breeders only (their breeders are even backed up with USDA breeder inspections!!). The owners pick up every pup themselves and each pup is checked by a vet before coming to the store, kept up to date on shots and vaccinations, and is sent home with a FREE vet visit. I am so proud to see these pups in such a wonderful and caring facility!!!

Editing comment: Since my previous comment, I have purchased 2 more dogs from them at a total of $10,000.00 I've spent in this store. I went back today in search of a smaller dog as I have all big ones. I found a poodle and a chihuahua and decided the poodle was the one for me. I was happy with the price and wanted to purchase it. I had my sister meet me there because she too is wanting to find the perfect puppy. She found one she was absolutely inlove with and had cash in hand to purchase it. Once she asked to see it, one of the girls working immediately had an attitude and asked her if she had plan on buying today. She said yes, as long as the puppy seemed to be a good fit once meeting it. The blue haired girl kind of rolled her eyes and went to the back and when she came back she told her No, she couldn't see or interact with it. When we asked why she said because I had already looked at 2, although I had already decided that I was buying one. They knew who I was and was happy to sale to me, but I feel like because my sister wasn't dressed as nice she was looked down on. They missed out on almost $5,000 tonight between the two of us, and I wont be recommending anybody else. I have sent 3 others to them who have made purchases, this was my 4th. I am ashamed of the way she was treated, and she traveled from NC just to check out the store that I had spoken so highly of.I give 5 stars because of of the amazing customer service. I have purchased a puppy from here before, just about a year ago and was please with my purchase. However, new owners just came in and are 100% wonderful. Chris, the new owner went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me out in any way that he could have. He called me back every time he said he would and was very helpful. His staff is just as wonderful. I highly recommend this place!

We have purchased 4 dogs from Puppy Love over the past 2 years. One for my son, 2 for my mother and I for my husband and I. Obviously we love Puppy Love or we wouldn't keep coming back! Everyone is always so eager to help and so pleasant to deal with. Since we have always paid cash we have always gotten a better deal on our dogs!! Puppy Love is always a great place to visit! Our kids have to see the puppies every time we visit the mall (my wife and I go without them too!). The staff is always kind and they don't mind the mass of lookie-loos that come through constantly without shopping. I think the dogs are insanely priced, but usually adorable. They always have great deals on toys and snacks!

Like me, you may have always heard to never buy a puppy from a pet shop and may be hesitant. But I fell in love with one particular little puppy so I had to find out more. First of all, the puppies look very healthy and happy. Second, there was a detailed description of the local breeder the puppies came from which made all the difference! Third, it is evident that they care about their puppies even after you take them home. They give you instructions on how to to take care of a new puppy and send you home with a supply of some of the essentials. They also checked in several times after we took her home. I would definitely consider buying from this shop again in the future and will be recommending to my friends. This is no ordinary pet shop! They go above and beyond!

Contrary to popular belief, Puppy Love is absolutely one of the best stores in Roanoke to buy a puppy. Obviously, adopting from a shelter is a fantastic idea, but realistically shelters aren't going to have the exact puppy some are looking for. You're lucky if you find a full breed in a shelter, and if that's what you're looking for a shelter is not somewhere you should consider looking. Everyone has the right to choose what kind of dog they want and where to buy said dog from. NO ONE should shame anyone else for where they get their dogs because at the end of the day every puppy, whether that puppy is in a shelter or in a puppy store, needs a home. Again, talking about shelters, many shelters don't always have puppies, and if you have small children some parents wouldn't want to risk getting a big dog because with shelters you never know what their past is and if they're going to accidentally hurt your child. Puppy Love uses reliable local breeders, the farthest they've gone for puppies is Ohio, and even then the breeders they use in Ohio have been checked out and are friends with the owners, as are all of the breeders they use. The breeders are family-oriented, the puppies are raised to be well-socialized and healthy. In no way, shape, or form are the puppies from puppy mills, neither are they from breeders that over-breed or abuse their dogs. If you take the time to ASK the people that work there they will tell you all of this information happily. They even have pictures of the parents, are friends with the breeders, and even have books with all of the information on their current and past breeders all throughout the store. All employees care and love for the puppies and even have puppies of their own and have bought puppies from the store that they fell in love with and couldn't let go. The store is also pro-adoption and they encourage you to go to shelters! Puppy Love is a fantastic store full of puppy loving employees and all of the bad things you hear about the store are completely wrong, and everyone would know that if you would simply ASK!

Every now and then I stop to see the puppies at Puppy Love valley view and enjoy seeing them but this is the first time that things seam off. Never smell an order but this time it was pretty bad and there were a lot more puppies together in one stall they didn’t look well care for. They even seam extra hype up something just felt and look very off. Very disappointed in that place and the “PRICES”😩

My family and I stopped by Puppy Love to check out the puppies, which must’ve been a bad idea. As the employees were on their phones the entire time we were in the store. After seeing them all, we decided to ask about the Pomeranian they have showcased in the window but quickly decided against it after realizing the employees were too distracted to care enough to help assist us (which leaves reason to believe they care more about the money than they do about finding the puppies a good home). The experience left a sour taste in our mouth, causing us to change our mind; as the employees were a bit stand-offish. I wished it could’ve been better.

Great in theory, not so great in practice. We love looking at the puppies, but they are very uptight about you petting one (even if just an employee is holding it and walking around). Very small store for the amount of traffic (I know they can't control this) they get on Saturday's and so anyone with a wheelchair or stroller cannot get in to see the puppies and if they do then they are stuck there because there is no order to people going in and out so it is super chaotic.

I had done a lot of research and knew exactly what breed of puppy we wanted. I had spoke with several breeders and contacted Puppy Love when I seen they had what we was looking for on their Facebook page. I contacted them via phone and then we made the 2 hour trip to meet our puppy. It was love at first sight! The puppy was asleep with her brothers and they looked cared for. They did stink but that’s just normal for a pet store. They let us play with her and hold her without questions or payments to see if we bonded. The purchase went smoothly and easy. Once we got her home and got a good bath and brush out she looked and smelled amazing! No more matted hair or tangles! The breeder on her papers say she came from Ohio, upon further investigation I did see where the state had tried to inspect his kennel and he was never available, and he was not licensed, and while we didn’t get to see pictures of her parents or know what kind of conditions she came from I felt good about the health guarantee and knew I had a trusted vet that would do an extensive examination. Our vet checked her for worms and that was negative and done blood work which all came back great! Her exam was perfect, no heart or lung issues, and no joint issues. Yes it was more than most vet checks but we wanted to make sure she was healthy! The only issue our vet had was having so many shots so close together. They recommend spacing them out some and she had some like every week. They felt like she had been over vaccinated but at the same time was happy they did have their shots and was kept up to date. She is now 4 months old and healthy and thriving! Such a sweet personality and already completely potty trained! While I’m very thankful there is so many people willing to rescue hurt and abandoned animals, I’m very thankful also for a great place to purchase a puppy of the exact breed you want! I would recommend them to anyone looking for their next companion as long as you know what you are buying from and that you will need a good trusted vet to exam them! ❤️🐶

We recently got our sweet little Shiht zu and he's the sweetest baby. We found food, crate and all the items needed for him. We named him Wicket because he looks like an Adorable Ewok. We found all our supplies after Christmas so they are very good managing their inventory. Our experience is great. These owners are not the same as previous owners that did not take care of the dogs. No hate responses here. All dogs need love and I am one of the biggest.

Purchased our pup from here. The place was very clean of no annoying smells. Our helper, K, was extremely professional & offered store discounts and various info. A genuine atmosphere of devotion to the care and keep of their puppies is exuded at Puppy Love. Many of the workers buy and care for the puppies they are trusted to find homes for. We have purchased a puppy who is eight years old and extremely healthy. We go back to visit and hold other pups at least twice per month to provide socialization and love.

Over priced dogs. Cramp store. Over priced accessories. Go to the pound if you just want a dog or puppy to love up on. They tell you that the dogs come from local breeders and some do, buy a majority come from the Amish. Look at the location for each dog on the card they have taped up. You'll notice that a majority will come from the same state. If you want a pure bred dog or a specific dog breed, do your research and check your local area. I can promise you, the price will be lower and they'll give you a better benefits.Also, the pay sucks and so do the owners.Edit: and for the love of god, do not bloody finance a dog. Especially one that cost over 1k dollars. You have to be mentally challenged to think that is a good idea to do. Your credit takes a hit everytime they run you through the various loan services that they use.
