The absolute worse! Never again will my dog go there. I paid for my dog to get a cleaning with nail trim. However my dogs toes were butchered and were bleeding and his fur looks just the same as it did upon arrival. I will never ever ever go there again. If I could give thit smart 0 stars ✨ would!

Purchased a beta fish and an 3 1/2 gallon aquarium top fin brand. The aquarium was clearanced so we thought it was a good deal. 2 weeks after using the aquarium the filter stops working properly. We unfortunately threw away the receipt not thinking we'd need to keep it. So now we're stuck with the aquarium and pump that doesn't work! We thought something wasn't right when we were assembling the pump to begin with because the instructions were very poorly written!Picture to show how cloudy in a short period and I've cleaned the tank once in the 2 week period. We use well water.

It caters to folks who have money. Most pet owners can't afford things there unless it's on sale. But I like that they help place pets in forever homes.

I had placed an order to be delivered. When I got the worms I ordered they were nasty molded, runny looking clusters of nastiness. Why wasnt they looked at before being delivered?!?! Cause someone didn't care. They just grabbed them and that's it. No care taken in what the customers order. Then had to call another number which I got hung up on 3 times just to finally get it tooken care of.

NEVER COMING BACK AGAIN! If I could give this place a negative rating I would. All due to one employee!! But it is what it is... on 10-14-2020 I went here for the first time to buy fish and it was just awful. Keep in mind that I have been a aquarist for almost 20 years and have kept tanks of all different sizes, and fish of all kinds from around the world. I went to just buy a dozen Neon Tetras for my 72 gallon tank for my niece because all she has talked about is getting a school of neons for the tank. In the past I have had up to two dozen neons is my live planted display tanks. We decided to stop by this petsmart on Franklin Road in Roanoke, and get a dozen. That’s when we meet this VERY unpleasant girl that worked in the aquatics area and she straight REFUSED to sell me a dozen Tetras. With a attitude this chick was telling me that I’m not allowed to have this many, and that it’s not good to buy so many at once. I advised this person that I have a well established 72 gallon tank and she still refused and started to tell me that tank size doesn’t matter and that it’s unhealthy and unsafe for the fish to be is such big group. After a few mins of her telling me why I can not have a dozen, I asked for 6, and she still gave me a attitude and reluctantly sold me 6 neon tetras. Needless to say I will NEVER be giving this petsmart my business again! I have never had a experience so blood boiling! If it wasn’t for the fact my niece was with me I would have asked for the Manager, but this employee was NOT WORTH IT. Because of this rude and unpleasant employee petsmart lost out on a bigger sale and lost a customer for life! Never been so insulted in my life!!!

I am done with the grooming department of PetSmart. They have canceled my dogs appoint the day of grooming 3 times in the last 6 months. The first 2 times I was understanding. This is now a pattern. I can't trust them to provide services on time anymore. I am taking all my business elsewhere.

We took our German Shepherd to to the grooming salon at Petsmart today. He got a bath with the Furminator package and a nail grind and teeth freshening. Jemini did his service, and she did a beautiful job. His coat is gorgeous! Thank you, Jemini!On a side note, we also get his food, toys, and treats here and they are always in stock. The people working there are always so helpful and friendly.

Visited this store yesterday to *exchange* two Arcadia Trail harnesses that we didn’t have a receipt for. The exact same ones are still on the rack in the store, they were purchased very recently, I just didn’t have the receipt. Our dogs had only worn them a few weeks and the binding was coming unraveled on our Golden Retriever’s. Our Pit Bull is a regular Houdini and I wasn’t going to wait for hers to fall apart.The cashier who assisted us was lovely, helpful and professional. She needed manager approval to process my request for store credit, due to the price point ($34.99/each). I wasn’t asking for a refund, I just wanted to exchange for strong, trustworthy harnesses to keep our fur babies safe. The manager was rude, lied about the return policy, then wanted to argue with me. When I corrected her and showed her the Petsmart website, she rolled her eyes, threw her hands up, told the cashier “JUST DO IT” and stormed off. I knew the policy. I checked before we went to the store, to be sure I wasn’t wasting time or gas. It’s on the back of the receipt that I didn’t have. Any manager who doesn’t know, or isn’t truthful about their own corporate policies has no business in management.In this particular instance, I didn’t have the receipt. I didn’t expect them to fall apart. My mistake. That said, I have easily spent $5K a year at Petsmart for the last three years. The harnesses are from this season and had been worn less than 60 days. Arcadia Trail is a Petsmart company and the products are extremely poor quality, despite the hiked up prices. I have never had an issue at the Valley View location, we just happened to be on this end of town visiting my mother in law, so I was trying to be efficient. I will never again frequent this store, purchase an Arcadia Trail product or throw away a Petsmart receipt.I do not appreciate being made to feel like a thief for exchanging a garbage product made by the same company after having been a loyal customer. Do yourself a favor, bypass this store and drive the extra few miles to Valley View. The violet haired manager has a violent temper. I got the impression she treats her employees with the same level of respect she treated me with. Perhaps Petsmart should clean house and promote the cashier to manager. The cashier was intelligent, compassionate and kind. She had an excellent handle on customer service and human decency. Can’t say the same for the raging manager.

A nice and smaller PetSmart, at least compared to the Valley View location. They have all the basic needs and more, this is usually my go to for any pet needs. Just picked up a large dog mattress there any my dog loves it!

The salón leader Will was very rude and unprofessional. He did not want to help me and complained the whole time. He was also being very nasty to his employees. I felt bad for them. I love Petsmart but this guy sure made me change my mind about ever going back to this location again. Take your salon and grooming business elsewhere friends.

Love our new tank ..only thing did not like the girl didn't tell us if we signed up for the points card we would have got the tank for 59 instead of 79 so I had to take the tank back in and redo all the receipt and sign up for PetSmarts member to receive my $20 back

Would give 5 stars, but the grooming salon is kind of cruddy, and I've had to remind them every time to clean the tables and hair up. When will left the grooming salon its kind of gone down hill a little bit. The staff are nice and really respectful. Over all I like thus store just wish the grooming salon was cleaner.

Always fully stocked but not exactly with what I’m looking for. Like the worlds best cat litter red bag or green bag is the Hide one and I need just a small one every once in a while. Very nice staff and very clean! Love going in the place to see all the cute ideas.

In all of the stores I've ever visited, this place has the best, knowledgeable manager a store can have, Tony. He is there most of the time when we go in and he is ALWAYS super helpful. Always nice and ready to help. He knows his stuff as well, from fish, to reptiles, all animals, and all products. The other manager Katie isn't so great but luckily we hardly ever see her. I am giving 5 stars due to friendly workers, clean store, and usually is stocked full! We have also never had any issues with any of the live reptiles we have purchased, and even adopted the sweetest cat from them! Way to go Tony, I will be letting corporate know how awesome you are as well.

I am very happy with the south Roanoke store. I had my jumpy and untrained 1 year old rescue groomed today and they did an AWESOME job with him! I am so pleased, he is so soft and shiny and just adorable. The ladies in the salon were super nice and helpful, they answered all my questions and assured me that he would be just fine. The store is always clean and they have a wide variety of items for every type of pet I can think of. They regularly have sales to save customers money and I get coupons in my email from them! The cashiers and other staff are always helpful and nice. I really like this store! I would recommend anyone with a pet to check them out!

The staff was extremely helpful and patient as I tried on a harness on my boy Beau. I don't remember his name but we did try on several before I decided on the one I wanted. Also he took us to a back room where Beau could try on the harness and not be in danger of running away. It was a good experience for both Beau and myself.

I adopted a kitten and the experience was great. Tater was said to be very shy. His royal highness was the right match. He has really come out of his shell and fits right into the pack. Unfortunately, I went shopping and bought a raincoat for my little Chihuahua girl, Jasmine. It's beautiful and is nicer than mine. It's only money:)

I didn't see his whole name tag, but it started with a T. I'm calling him Mr. Fish Expert. He helped us understand our aquarium's water properties, gave us really good advice, and helped us pick out our supplies. I'm highly impressed with his level of knowledge and that he takes the opportunity to educate. He could have just made a sale, but he made better fish owners in the process. The store was clean. Everyone was friendly.

I love this store. Its clean, and has wonderful staff. I always feel welcomed when I walk in their doors. Everybody is extremely helpful even when they are busy. To the reviewer that stated the adoption center wreaked of feces and urine; Angels of Assisi is always welcoming Volunteers to assist in keeping their cages clean and spotless! :)
