This is the second time I’ve been stopped and told that I was stealing 2 energy drinks! I go every day and have my 2 kids and family member with me! I would never do that when I spend money every single day with this place! Just because they said they seen me pick it up when I entered the store but didn’t go to check out with it which is because the first time I put the items down in seasonal (which the fat guy that ride on the scooter found after I left) then after that he followed me and my kids every time I came in there from the time I entered until I left even watched me check out and spend money everyday and even pull a bunch of money from the atm at times. The second time he had went and whispered to another worker and then when I got to check out she tried to stop me.The second time was over the same thing but when I told them I sat them in the back of the store and offered 2 times to take them to the items they wouldn’t let me then told me that I was banned and everything. I ran and put my kids in the car with the family member and ran back inside to handle business and show my bags and yet again offered to take them to the items that I sat down in the back of the store that they wouldn’t let me take them to and yet again I was called names and told no. Me and my 1 and 2 year old have been harassed every single time by the fat guy that doesn’t even really work there for months now. Just because I pick something up doesn’t mean that I stole it people sit stuff down at the wrong spots all the time and not only that my kids throw things out and half of the time I don’t notice that I don’t even have them anymore until after I get home and look for it only to realize that they must have thrown them out while walking through the store! This place is absolutely disgusting and ridiculous. I’m not the only person that this has happened to just of how I look or dress either. There are 2 others that it happens to as well. I’ve seen the same thing happen to these people who I didn’t and don’t know and after the big blow out they proved the people wrong and never came back because they were judged by how they look when in reality they had plenty of money

At this particular location in Roanoke right by Sam’s Club we had gotten some pork meat and it looked fine inside the store. We got it outside and it was green. My wife took it back inside to return it and they asked her if she was colorblind then asked if I was colorblind Then called us stupid. Take it for what it is, but I will not be going back to that Kroger, and I believe the staff needs to be looked at a little more closely.

Absolutely horrible customer service. People treat you like your stealing even when your not.. people are so rude here. Also what about the people just standing around talking when there are so many people needing help. If they keep accusing people of stealing why don't they open more checkouts and close down self scan it makes no sense. Also if you need more than just a few groceries this definitely isn't the place to buy them. Either wait in line for 20 min's on the 1 checkout that is actually open or go to self scan and scan all 50 your self, then of course get accused of stealing!!!

My sister purchased gift cards today and the cashier scanned and charged her for them. When my sister got home she noticed that she did not have the gift cards. My sister went back to the store to discuss the issue and the cashier claimed she put the purchased gift cards back on the shelf. Why would she do that? We believe that the cashier was saving them for herself which is stealing because all of a sudden, the cashier appeared with the gift cards. Kroger management needs to make sure that they address this because no customer wants to deal with a business they can't trust.

Good grocery with variety of foods and products. Would be good for customers to have the store equipped with scanners between the ailes, so that anyone could check the price of a product you want to buy.

This is a great grocery store. It is well stocked and the bathroom is very clean. The only problem is the toilet paper holder is broken other than that a great experience.

I cannot believe how I was treated by their “security”. I walked in with my husband around 9pm & as I was walking past security I hear “MAAAAAAAM” loud & incredibly rude. It was their rent-a-cop yelling at me. (I was not far enough where a simple, “excuse me” couldn’t be heard.) He proceeded to tell me I had to leave my purse at the front with him because I couldn’t “have it”. When I asked him why he said “it’s late & there’s a lot of weird stuff going on.” Okay? I wouldn’t be so upset if maybe he didn’t have an awful, mean tone. So rude. So rude. Also I felt like I was being accused of stealing as soon as I walked in. No I didn’t leave my purse with a strange man. I put it in my car. But the whole experience was awful. He was so obnoxiously rude. I live in the neighborhood & I loved coming here. I’ve never had such a terrible experience at any other Kroger in Roanoke, Salem or vinton. Don’t go here unless you like being talked to like you’re a piece of trash & you did nothing wrong but walk in the door. Do better, Kroger. Do better. I will not be going to this Kroger anymore which is sad because I used to like it & live so close. I’m an adult, I will have my purse if I want to. It’s that simple.

8/26/23 7:09pmKrogers Rutgers do better!!!!Get gas.Pump 5. 23 seconds after walking away from paying, my card is charged again. I know credit cards do holds, but this is debit. Guy says take it to customer service. Walk up there, they are closed. Asked for manager, nice young man looked for manager 5-10 mims, while speaking with other employees about manager is always in the bathroom. James (who refuses last name, employee #, AND gave wrong # for corporate) came out, super high. Not resolving anything. Rude, unprofessional and while store in disarray. Just want my money back, the diry store, rude, unprofessional people can carry on, I will never return. Gone down hill BIG past few years! Sad world.

Love this Kroger!!! Always stocked with fresh fruits and veggies. Many different options even for out of season, hard to find items and lots of organic! Clean. Great deals. They also have lots of items from local farmers. One being glassed milk. It's so awesome they support the community!! The deli department employees are always so helpful and friendly. Tons of fresh bakery beads, sushi, dips, etc Our go-to! Great job management and staff!!!

I usually love this Kroger because they always have what every other one doesn’t have, I just drive all the way from Hardy just to walk up to the doors and be let down because they don’t open for me….. am I missing something because I could have sworn I made sure to verify with google that they are open until 11 before I drove all the way out here….this is completely messed up for their updated hours not to be updated

This store closes randomly whenever. They could be open until 11 or they could close way before then with a sign on the door. Waste of gas. Very poorly run Kroger. Website is inaccurate. No consideration for customers.

Mostly a decent Kroger. But what is the procedure when you have a full cart of groceries and there is no cashier?Even if I wanted to put everything back, I don't remember where everything came from. As if I had time to restock things.I like self checkout convenience when I only have a few things. But I'm not messing with it when I have fifty items. Not only does that sound extremely frustrating, people get arrested when they mess up sometimes. I'm not taking that risk on a complicated order.Hire some cashiers, Kroger.

I prepaid with my card at the gas pump here. The woman at the kiosk said if I didn't spend the total, I would get it automatically refunded to my card. I waited a week, didn't see the $15 refund, then called Kroger.They sent me to a payment processing facility. Waited on hold. Person asked for transaction number, said yes there was a mistake, they can see it in the system that I was due a refund. They told me to call the store. I called the store again and talked to the manager. He told me the accountant would be in the next morning and call me. No call.Two weeks later, I call again. Same manager. He says he will refund the money. I give him my address and say store credit or anything will do. I email him to remind him. Still no refund.Two weeks later, I email him again, no response. It has now been 3 months and they still refuse to pay me the money they owe me. Terrible management. They probably siphon money from people this way.

Went to buy home chef chicken on sale and they said they would make it later as what they made was for online orders. Don't know why those get preferential treatment vs customers in store. And the woman was rude. Could care less about situation.

Going inside isn't a terrible experience but doing the online pick up orders has been incredibly frustrating. They very often they seem to not be able to find certain items and when we go back into the store we are able to find them. It kind of feels like they don't bother to really look for some items. They used to have a drive thru for the pharmacy and that was really nice but they haven't fixed it in years. :(

I'm not shopping here simply because of their employee Vicky. She is the absolute worst. She treats me and my fiancé with such disrespect. When we check out at the self-scans she will literally stare at us, acting like we are going to steal. We've been shopping here for 5 years, and that stops today. We have always been so nice to her, and she continues to give us a bad attitude. Hopefully management will address the issue, but I doubt it.

We hate this store, they are very racist. My daughters had the worst experience of their lives. The security man treated my daughters badly, saying that something had been stolen and after he found the receipt, he just says sorry and the customer service lady is worse. We have visited this store for many years but this is horrible

Placed an online order before 9 am and when I arrive for its scheduled time at 6 pm and it wasn’t picked yet when they came out to my car at 630 pm. Had to wait another 30 min for the order to come out to the car. Tried to use the service when time was going to be short at the end of a work day. The guy who brought the groceries to the car and was very apologetic. Will not use this service again.

Haven’t been to this Kroger in a couple years, went today because I was in the area and now remember why I stopped coming to this store. The store is filthy! The floors, the belts at checkout and even the shelves! There are associates who are just standing around chatting with other associates, so it’s clearly not due from a lack of labor…. I was there and only needed a few items that were luckily prepackaged so I grabbed them and out I went…(I wouldn’t dare buy anything from their deli!) Took 20 mins to checkout and they weren’t even busy! Never again! 👎 👎 👎

Great service from produce and meat departments. Weekly deals are neatly organized and identified.App. Improvements can be made for quicker, more reliable service experience. The checkout lines always move quickly, so you can country on getting in and out. The staff is always very friendly and helpful if you can't find something. They variety of products they carry is nice. However the bathrooms could use some more attention. Ew! And the store is so full that it makes me claustrophobic, there's just so many people trying to shop in isles that are full if too many displays and promotions.

This is my usually stop for groceries, but tonight they outdid themselves. The produce section was bare (the second trip in as many weeks that this has happened), 5 employees were standing at the front of the store doing nothing, while all normal registers were closed. Self-checkout was the only option (we had a full cart of groceries) and there was a line 10 people deep behind us. The only positive was the great attitude of the self-checkout cashier who was left on his own to help all of the guests.

This store is so unprofessional. I'm in there almost four times a week, and I hear managers yelling at their employees. This bothers me because these employees are putting their lives at risk by working there. They need to have more respect for them. Maybe that's the reason why they have no help there. Maybe that's why the lines are long and the wait time. Why should I shop at a store where I'm hearing yelling all the time coming from the associates?
