Brambleton & Colonial location.Did Kroger pick up for weekly groceries. Waited a little under 15 minutes for associate to arrive with my order, a little longer than typical. There were no substitutions, as all my order was in stock. Friendly associate loaded my trunk, but could not tell me my order total, stating I would get an email. Upon unpacking groceries, I noted that the ground turkey and sour cream use by dates were rather short, coming up within a few days.9/22/22The store was clean and shelves were organized. Found $1 discount produce & flowers discounted to 75 cents! (See photo)There were many pick up employees shopping in the store and all were attentive to their large carts possibly blocking aisles, and allowed customers to pass. A good short shopping experience. Updated to 5 stars today!9/26/22Shopped on a Monday and was surprised to see bare shelves in several areas, especially produce. (See photos)All else was good, with ample and helpful staff, lots of open registers, and clean store.11/2/22What's going on Kroger? The store was very difficult to get around in, even with a small cart. Stocking everywhere, carts, customers, pick up shoppers, flats, empty or filled with goods, blocked aisles and shelves. Many boxes, empty and full, ladders, and flats, both full and empty, filled many areas. It was somewhat claustrophobic and a little stressful! Note the pics I posted with shelves, and aisles blocked. Prices are way up, discounts are few, and coupon discounts are poor in value. Employees were working hard, but remained friendly and helpful. (Reduced to 2 stars this week)11/12/22Did pick up this week. Several items were either subbed or not available. Digital coupons and fuel points had to be brought to the attention of the employee. Frustrating that you have to really have to keep such a close eye on how items and coupons are totaled. All items were fresh, and the very busy pick up order area was handled fast and efficiently by two staff.‼️11/20/22Still continuing to have a harder time getting around this store, due to bottlenecks caused by a multitude of pallets, carts of goods and cardboard and more all over the store. I had to turn around several times and go another route. There is difficulty in some areas to actually get to the goods, as shelves are blocked. This is a consistent irritation and frustration. Lowered rating to 1 star.12/10/22Kroger redeemed some quality today with less clutter in the aisles and more stocked shelves which made shopping easier. The store was very busy, with lines at all the check outs. My cashier was fast and efficient, although the bagger talked to the cashier inscenntly about non-work events, but this did not distract the cashier. The outdoor cut greenery and trees were festive! Raised rating to 5 stars. Great job, Kroger!1/5/23Shopped for rotisserie chicken, and none was available. Deli staff were evasive when I inquired. Went to customer service to ask for my free chicken, as the sign stating policy is still up. No one could tell associate if they still honored. I pointed out the signage and she read aloud. She talked with a deli associate (who reported they were leaving for ? and would not be cooking any soon) and she obtained free chicken coupon for me. I also asked had another inquiry, and she responded she didn't know. I guess only one issue per customer today! Also inquired with 2 other associates, and no one could help. Frustrating. Customer service, Kroger? Reduced by 2 stars.Update: Several months later, all Krogers updated the rotisserie chick signs that make no mention of a free chicken.3/2/23 - 12/14/23Added some seasonal pics

I did store pick up today October 29 because I am sick and trying not to leave the house. I just got my groceries at Kroger on Brambleton and discovered that they gave me a bag of black potatoes that expired 3 weeks ago according to the sell by date ( which is accurate because each potato has black spots all over then), and black and green rotted mandarin oranges that were oozing all over the rest of the items in the bag. When I called to request a refund, I was told Kroger cannot refund the money to me even with my sending pictures to them until I come into the store and show the photos then - which I shouldn’t do because I’m sick. So I’m sharing it them pictures here as a warning about what you get when you order pick up.

They never have what you need in stock. I hadn't been to this location for a while so I stopped today for one thing, thinking surely the ONE THING I'm looking for would be in stock...of course not. And now I remember why I always pass this one and drive the extra mile to the one at Cave Spring Corners.

This is by far the worst Kroger I have ever been to. I am 38 weeks pregnant with a toddler so doing in store grocery shopping is extremely difficult. I did a clicklist pickup and they gave me two wrong items, charged me for something I didn’t order, and forgot five items. When I called they never even apologized and told me I could come back and pick up what they forgot but that I would need to come inside and bring proof of purchase for the items. I assumed they would have it ready when I got there. When I went up to the customer service and told them why I was there, they again did not apologize and told me to go find the stuff myself.. after I had already done a pickup that they screwed up. I am new to the area and never been in there before so after going up and down the aisles a million times I finally find the stuff I had ordered and returned to the customer service desk for the employee to tell me she needed to see proof purchase for five things after I just spent over $250 for my order that they got wrong. So I had to stand there and scroll through 75 items on a receipt to show her each individual thing. Like I’m as pregnant as I am with a toddler and in the pouring rain I just really wanted to come inside to steal five stupid things? Out of all the people I dealt with not one of them said a single sorry. In my opinion, they should have offered money back on the items or at the very least, had my stuff prepared when I arrived instead of making me go shopping after I already selected and paid for the stuff they forgot. I will never return to this store. Coming from the amazing customer service and great experiences I’ve had at the Bonsack Kroger, this was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Also although I haven’t been to the the Cave Spring Corners Kroger (right down the road) a ton of times, the times I have been there have been great. Pickup never forgets a thing and their customer service for in store and pickup is excellent. They are a million times better than this one. Definitely recommend going there if you’re in the area. The whole experience at this Kroger was terrible.

Okay. Not used to Cave Spring area. Folks are kind of rude and not friendly like Rocky Mount people. Prices higher as well. Check out lady used the Kroger Plus card since I left mine in the car. Her and the man bagging groceries were obviously tired. Just a different breed of people in that area. No photos but they could tidy up a bit. Clutters aisles etc.

Today, gift card shelves coveted with 4x gas points. Purchased lots ($350) of cards because of this. After checking out, I noticed I only received 2x gas points. When I asked the checkout clerk, she said Amazon and other cards were excluded. No signage to that effect was displayed. It's very misleading.

This Kroger always has the best meat and grocery selection in the area. If I can’t find something closer to where we live, I always come here and it is not much further away. ALSO, we love Poppi drinks, and this is the first place I have ever seen the whole selection! We were so excited. Usually I have to go to a few different stores to get everyone’s favorite flavors, but now I will just come here!

They don’t help with self checkout. The scanner will send things back then the girl will tell you you’re fine. Then call the manger saying you didn’t ring everything up. The manger(she) kept calling me sweetheart. Totally embarrassed me. Can’t get down the aisle. When trying to talk to the head manger she kept interrupting and wouldn’t let me get a word in edge wise. Totally disrespectful. Can’t wait for Publix to come!

Going downhil! I have been shopping here for 10 years. I think I am done. Not “Gucci”no more. Cleanliness, lighting, service, product availability all much worse every day. Self check out is forced on customers with little to no assistance. Surveillance system blocks the ( incredibly inefficient) checkout then no help available.Will stay away for a while. It pains me to post this but I will NOT spend money and time to get aggravated.

Came for Mr. Pibb which is not sold where we live, so we buy when we travel down this way. Also found Colby Longhorn cheese which my wife loves, but the deli just sanitized the slicers. A very nice man with silver hair named Mike got the cheese and sliced it in the meat department for us. Thank you. Greatly appreciated.

Do NOT let your teens or young adults work at this store location - 4404 Brambleton Ave. When my daughter first started working there she had good managers but they left and brought in a couple awful managers that treated her badly and hurt her mental health. After she quit, she would occasionally go in to talk to friends she had worked with while doing her shopping and just this week she had one manager, Jamar, throw her out of the store and tell her she was banned after she was there for a half hour. She did not disrupt or cause anyone to stop working and was only picking up some items and visiting for a short time. Jamar flew off the handle and went on an immature power rant, claiming he knew everything due to his wife being a district manager for the store. After she left he wrote up her friends for defending her and one friend he wrote up for eating a gummie bear she gave him. Like what!? This man should not be in a position of authority if he cannot control his emotions and respectfully manage his employees. I would steer clear of allowing any of your kids to work here until he is gone.

The only thing that brought me to this Kroger was the wine bar. The parking lot is awful and they leave merchandise in the middle of the aisles so that shopping is very difficult. I called corporate to inquire when the wine bar was to reopen. I was assured that it was already open. Please look at the attached photo which was taken the same day I spoke to corporate. Does that look open to you?

If you like beer, wine or cider Altino Morris is the man to speak to at the Kroger’s on Brambleton Avenue. The Kroger’s on Brambleton as you know is referred to as the Gucci Krogers of Roanoke, and Altino is their Connoisseur.Altino was able to order and get this Charlottesville Va apple cider for me. I couldn’t be more pleased. The day I came in to the store Broddie assistant manager and Ryan in Customer Service assisted me in my purchase. Two thumbs up for the excellent team at the Gucci Kroger’s.

We have shopped at several Krogers locations in the area and none compare to this one. The selection and freshness of the produce and bakery is unparalleled. The meat section was stocked and the cuts of meat looked great. The wine selection was well-organized and had information on pairings and entree suggestions as well. They are our favorite for groceries in Star City. They are the best!

I always shop here or at the Kroger in Vinton, one day it happened that I didn't have my ID on me, and the girl at the self check out looked at me and told me I needed to go back to bring my ID, I understand the importance of having the ID, but really by looking at me you couldn't tell I am over 40 years old? I mean seriously, I will not shop at this location,... sorry but have a common sense! Look at my old face and tell me that you are confused enough to think I am under 21 years old!

I love grocery shopping at this Kroger. It is so convenient to our home and we know the layout of the store. They offer almost everything that the very large Kroger does and it is kept clean and orderly. Everyone that works here is extremely nice and always helpful to assist you if you need help. We have been shopping here for 10 years and look forward to continuing our weekly grocery shopping at this Kroger. Thank you!

Why is customer service always closed. That should be #1. Why are you always out of stock. #2. Worst experience I've had at a grocery store. I had to leave and go to another store to get what I needed. And I asked a sale associate and was told this is how it is here. Can't wait for publix to open.

The beer garden is great sort of a strange mash-up with grocery shopping. I have some issues with the parking as the lot is set up a bit strange. The isles are fairly narrow but that comes with the benefit of plenty of selection I can find things here that I can't seem to find at the other Kroger's!

Since the new manager has taken over this store's quality has tanked. The stocking takes place during the day and the folks stocking don't mind telling you that you are in the way while you're shopping. The store is not as clean and the growler/tasting area has not reopened even though all the rest in the area have. I can only assume that the manager doesn't have the energy to deal with that either. I drive by this location on my way home and will not shop there. If I could give this location a negative star rating I would.

The best Kroger around! Very clean, well-lit, and well-stocked store. They have like a bistro/ready-to order food, and I got chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a drink for like $5.50–it tasted great! All the staff were super friendly and helpful! I had my toddler with me and they saw that I was struggling a bit, so they opened up a checkout lane for me and rang me up very quickly. Then I spilled my drink in the checkout line and they were super nice about it. That my whole experience so much better! Thank you, Kroger!

Been going to this store for some time now and it seems to go downhill more and more every time I go in there. Shelves are almost bare - and before anyone says “it’s the supply chain shortage” - I disagree.I think Kroger’s focus now is on delivery and on-line shoppers. That’s the other issue - those kids they hire to pick orders take up the whole aisle with those giant carts and don’t move for you. Those carts are full - so they have product - they’re just not putting it on the shelves.Their competitors that don’t offer those services have plenty of product. Been a Kroger customer 40+ years - but that may soon change if they don’t get on the ball

One of the best Kroger's I've ever been to. It has a bar in it! Usually have some pretty high caliber beers on tap for cheap. Stores also very clean and well organized, not the closest Kroger to me but the closest one I can grab a beer at before I shop or after I get done

This is the grocery store I frequent the most, but yesterday a family went in not wearing masks. The kids reluctantly put on masks the store was giving out at the entrance. The father never put his in on while I was shopping in the store, and I saw several other people not wearing masks with employees walking by and not saying anything to them. I do understand they may be afraid to get involved, but this selfish behavior on the part of customers will terminate my business. Fresh Market, here I come! Get with it Kroger!

Both of the Krogers in the Cave Spring area are almost always poorly stocked at various times of day.Pro tip: depending on which way you're coming from, go to the furthest Kroger first, since they're only 0.3 miles from each other. That way if the first one is out of stock you can try the other one on the way home.
