Shopped here many times. It is a super busy store so parking in a tight parking lot can be very tricky. They have refreshed the interior and now it is better laid out but still so cluttered and claustrophobic.If you don't mind a little bit of chaos, the staff are nice, everything is clean, and there are lots of food options such as a salad/olive bar.

Best customer service ever the man that always helps check out me and my boyfriends items is always nice and helpful and anybody else that has before as well and this location has the best selection on things definitely my favorite Kroger!

My grocer for 20+ years, recently it's gotten so bad, I'm taking my business elsewhere. Zero checkout lanes open 2 weeks in a row, and we've a big cart of food. Self-check scanners malfunctioning, sale prices not loaded on scanners, requiring attendant to fix, self-scanner today froze, so we had to use another scanner, staff poorly trained blocking aisles constantly, their picking carts parked diagonally, oblivious to shoppers. The aisles are full of personnel stocking shelves who could be cross trained to man checkout aisles in a pinch. Come on, Kroger! We deserve better, you WERE better. The new store décor is worthless if your service sucks. And BTW, what's with no frozen OJ for 3 months! There's a small space for it, but zero OJ! Time for a change in management?

Second time in as many weeks- no cashiers open at all. Unfortunately I’m in a scooter due to a broken heel and self check out isn’t an option with a full cart of groceries .This was at 10:00 am and an employee said there was no staff available. Really? Also recent redesign put the scooters lined up one in front of the other making getting them out very difficult. ADA not a consideration? Do better Kroger. Food Lion is nearby and always has staff.

There aren't words strong enough for how much I LOATHE the remodel! 😡 I can't find anything now! It wasn't broken - why "fix" it?! This was literally the only Kroger I liked shopping at because the placement was easy to find and made sense - now it's a cluster 😑 I'd give it less than 1 star if I could. Just stop changing stuff that doesn't need it!!!!

Customers who use Kroger pickup for the first time need to be aware that Kroger will not honor the $15 off for first time pickup if the store is out of items you ordered causing your total to be less than $75.00. This happened to me over the past week. I’m a new resident in Roanoke VA and, because my total was under $75 due to products on the weekly flyer not being in stock I am not eligible for the first time pickup credit. Unbelievably, I have corresponded with Kroger customer service several times over the past week and they continue to make excuses for not honoring the pickup credit. These people have worked 10 times harder to keep from paying the $15 than if they just did the honorable thing when I first made my inquiry. The Kroger customer service is horrendous. Never shopping there again.

In and out quickly. Half of the staff is friendly and helpful, the other half would let you aimlessly wander all day before being bothered. Clean location and seems to be well stocked. It's a good location and certainly recommend ove the Tower's location.

I am, unfortunately, a former employee. I used to work in the cheese shop. I needed an Irish cheese for my recipe, so I came here knowing they would have it. I have never been so disappointed in my life. No cheeses cut for the customer to purchase. Definitely a fall from grace since I worked there. They also has a standee with candied fruit stating it was 50 cents. I go to check out and it rings up full price. I had to have the self check out worker fix it for me. The shelves were empty and no one there to help. This store has definitely gone down hill since I worked here. Will go somewhere else before I shop here again. So sad.

This Kroger is one of the better locations. The store is clean and the shelves are well stocked. The employees are very helpful at the self checkout. The parking lot is terrible. It's very close quartered and can be tricky at times. It doesn't help much that the store is far back towards the corner of the lot which means still having to deal with traffic from Carillon and the Mall before even reaching Electric Road.

The little older man with the white beard at the self checkout made me feel extremely uncomfortable today while trying to check out with my items. There is no reason you should be hovering within feet from me the entire time I check out when I am very clearly ringing out all of my items.

Not a fan of self checkout. Especially when it's forced upon you. Even more so when you forgot to scan something it shows a video of you technically stealing the product shaming you and making you feel like a criminal. It's very uncomfortable. Especially with anyone who has anxieties.

I called the store five minutes before closing after Walmart didn’t have any distilled water for my infant daughter. I explained my situation and how I just needed one jug to get my daughter through the night. The man on the phone was very nice and didn’t hesitate to offer to let me in a few minutes after they closed so I could purchase the water. He even had another employee standing outside waiting to let me in when I got there. He offered the jug he had already had behind the customer service counter that he had was going to purchase before leaving so that I didn’t have to walk to the back of the store to get the water and I thought that was very kind of him. If it wasn’t for his kindness I would have had no options to find water for my daughter.

This review is for the bakery.I ordered two cakes several days ago for my son's third birthday. We set the pickup time for today at 1:00 as my son's party was at 3:00. Mixed emotions and mixed reviews. Let's start with the negative.My son's father went to pick up the cakes at 1:00. He was told that there were no cakes. What?! How is this possible? They had the orders there, as well as the little car figurines that we gave them to put on the cakes.However, no cakes. Needlesss to say, we were both freaking out about not having a birthday cake for our child's party.The manager came and spoke to my son's father and around that time the baker that had taken our order arrived for his shift. Apparently he had been hit by a car while riding his bike on his way to work. The manager and this baker, Jason, said that if my son's father had time to wait, that Jason would make the cakes while he waited. Additionally, the manager said that the cakes would be free of charge due to their mistake.So now for the positive. I was concerned about the time, but Jason was very quick with the cakes. Not only was he very quick, they looked incredible and he did a fantastic job and the cakes tasted absolutely delicious. Jason and the manager both get 5 stars for the handling of the whole situation and how great the cakes ended up being.The only reason I'm not giving the review 5 stars as a whole is due to the fact that the baker that should've made the cakes just completely ignored the order.Also, can we just appreciate the fact that Jason made these two cakes on the fly after getting hit in the ribs by a car?! Unbelievable. Huge thanks to Jason. He should get a raise.

Wonderful employee's. Willing to help in any way they can-- putting water in buggy, loading car, directing you to correct isle, whatever you need. Deducted 1 star as only 1 check out lane open & way too many in line waiting. Self check out open but I don't get a paycheck from them so that is unexceptable.

I've done the bulk of my shopping here for years, even though they struggle to keep consistant lines of products stocked like PB, dog food, and milk. I lived through the phasing out of the handheld scanners, which is how I always shopped, even when the staff couldn't tell me why the handheld stopped working for me. But the final straw was the attitude exhibited to me and other customers. Manager hostility when I called to let him know a certain baked good I had bought was fermented when I got it home. The customer service rep behind the counter talking to me like how dare I assume I was valued as a customer. I am done spending my family's food and gas money at Kroger.

It's my regular store but the click list is going down hill... Click list responded and said they didn't have 2lbs of deli meat and 2 loaves of bread.... Went in and bought 2 lbs of deli meat and the bread... Got home and they had those items on my click list... Now I got 4lbs of deli meat and 4 loaves of bread... When you get click list you never know what you are going to get and not get till you get home and you have no idea what you are really paying for???

Had trouble at U-scan,using EBT card. Pressed button for assistance,none ever came. Frustrating and not acceptable! Left my purchases right there,so someone had to put it all back. Done with U-scan. Called about it,got an apology but no incentive to return.Ended up going to Food Lion and setting up Instacart and CVS delivery

To me, the overall service in this store seems to be going downhill. I had to request service in cheese shop, but the employee never said one word to me. Just completed my order with a blank stare. Had to wait to checkout because only one manned checkout lane open and 6 of the 12 self checkouts were closed. And this was at noon on 9/13/2019. It is still a pretty nice store, but feels like it is going downhill.

This was my favorite Kroger store. It is going down hill fast. With the exception of a few veteran clerks, the staff is falling short in customer service. The quality of the products has been terrible lately. A newer check out clerk recently left one of my purchases out of the bag & dumped my tray of sushi upside down. Once you could great quality products but a recent purchase of shrimp at the meat counter was freezer-burned. Even though I will have to drive a little further, I'm finding a different store to shop.

ALWAYS shop here.Other places may have lower prices but do not offer gas points .Most of the employees are friendly and helpful and have been there for several years. For the most part,ther e is a good variety of products.

I like it much better now that it has finished its renovations. However if the parking lot is a nightmare. Whoever redesigned it improved on what was there originally but it is still very difficult to safely enter and leave. But inside Kroger things are much nicer.

I was just told that if I bought a full beef standing rib roast that the "butcher" (Nick) wouldn't cut it into steaks for me. Since I was a kid, you went to the butcher to have your steaks cut to order. IF the butcher doesn't cut meat to order would that make them a glorified stock boy?

I've been shopping at this Kroger for over 20 years, and in the last year or so have witnessed a serious decline. In fact, it's so unpleasant now that sometimes I go to Food Lion just to get a break from the mess at the Tanglewood Kroger. The store seems to be moving more and more towards self-checkout, so there is usually only one full-service checkout available (usually with a long line). I rarely see anyone using the provided Clik-It devices.Be prepared to negotiate every obstacle imaginable in the aisles - carts full of empty boxes, full trolleys with no one attending them, useless displays ready to be knocked over at a touch.The one upside at this store is the wonderful staff - they are friendly and extremely kind and helpful. But if things don't improve, I'll see you at Food Lion - every week.

Great store, miles above the Towers location as far as parking, selection, and store upkeep. I always go here instead of Towers for those reasons. Otherwise, it's a great store with a decent selection and it's kept up well. There are larger stores in the Cave Spring area, but this still has most of what I'd normally get.

This supermarket has the filthiest ladies room I've ever seen. I don't know how anyone could eat the food from this Kroger. You are supposed to check the bathrooms every hour. Makes me ill.
