Dr Lynn and Cave Spring Vet staff are caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. We have an almost 9 year old English mastiff, 16 year old lab mix, and 14 year old cat. They treat all of our seniors with dignity and caring just as if they were spring chix. So appreciate these folks!

LOVE this vet. My Siamese cat was not urinating normal so we contacted the vet we usually go through but they were unable to see my cat and they recommend Cave Spring Vet. Best advice ever. They were able to take him in fast. My cat saw Dr. McCoy who was phenomenal!! He kept me posted multiple times throughout the day when my cat had a procedure done and took GREAT care of my cat. He even went above and beyond and contacted me a month after the incident to check up on my cat. Needless to say from now on I will be taking my cat here and he sees Dr. McCoy from now on. Highly recommend this vet clinic.

Dr Karras has been watching out for our fur babies for years ! He takes the time to explain things in terms we can comprehend. He is not only patient with us humans but the dogs as well. The entire Cave Spring team is always welcoming and willing to help. I also enjoy the reminder emails and texts ensuring I don’t miss any medications or follow up vaccines for the pups.

Dr. Randy McCoy at Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic is the veterinarian for our Yorkie, Roxie. From Roxie's very first appointment with him, his care and affection for animals was very apparent. Everyone at the office is MAGNIFICENT to work with! The office staff are very friendly and pleasant to speak with. I have also had interactions with Dionna and she is extremely helpful and responsive to your needs. We love the care and attention Dr. McCoy gives to our furry family member. Dr. McCoy takes time to listen to our questions and concerns and he explains things thoroughly. We also experienced an emergency with our Roxie and they got us in right away and took care of her. They have a team of veterinarians. So, if you have an emergency situation and your veterinarian is out of the office, there are other wonderful veterinarians who can assist you. We have moved an hour and a half away from Roanoke, but have chosen to keep Dr. McCoy as our veterinarian. The care that is shown from everyone at Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic is worth the drive to us. We know our Yorkie is in the best hands with them!!!! So much thanks to everyone at Cave Spring Veterinary Clinic.

My experience was with the mobile vets. They were wonderful with my precious cat who had been terrorized at a shelter by larger cats. I couldn’t get her to a vet for physical and vaccinations because it was impossible to get her in a carrier, even with calming meds. The vets were very patient and understanding and I feel so much better knowing I don’t have to go without needed care and vaccines for me pet whom I love dearly. She didn’t appear to be traumatized at all after her vet visit. Thank you so much!

Was referred to Cave Spring Vet when I moved to Roanoke. Always good experience. Staff is always friendly. Dr McCoy always gets down to eye level and plays with dogs while examining them. They love it and it relaxes them. Dr Kraft and Sarah were great on the mobile unit

I want to sincerely thank CSV for being willing to fit us in on a Saturday even as a non-established patient regarding an end of life service for my beloved cat. My sweet Muffin man crossed the rainbow bridge this weekend. The clinic was a part of our family for 8 years. Muffin was a rescue and required some flexibility and out of the box thinking for his appts. The clinic always met him where he was at and put his needs first. I could not be more grateful for the love, patience, and expertise the clinic has shown us. When we are ready for a new pup, we look forward to seeing them all again.

We can’t be more thrilled to have found our Veterinary Clinic! We called several clinics and most required an upfront emergency fee of $150 before they would even diagnose our cat. We called and was greeted by a sweet compassionate individual who was able to get us a quick appointment. Dr. McCoy was so kind and caring! He provided us with a good amount of education and everything we needed to care for our cat at home. The costs were completely reasonable and affordable! I was shocked honestly. I am just so grateful we have help like this so close to home!! Big thank you to everyone who helped our sweet Tobey today!!

We’ve been going here for years, but recently moved about an hour away and we’re looking for something closer. Well, our dog ended up eating a half pack of gum. We called everyone in the local area and they wouldn’t take “new pets” even after telling us it was life threatening. We were told to go to Roanoke emergency vet on peters creek and after a 15 minute triage they said they wouldn’t take us unless our dog was unresponsive. Cave Spring vet, specifically Dr. Hairfield took us in and literally saved our dog. Cave Spring cares about your animals and will be there when you need them! ❤️

Our first experience with this clinic was bittersweet as we had the mobile unit come to our home to euthanize our sweet Lucy. Dr. Ballard was incredibly kind and talked us through the whole process. She answered all our questions and helped us feel comfortable and at peace with our choice to have Lucy put down. Having this done at home was the best decision we could’ve made and we are so thankful for Cave Spring Vet Clinic and their ability to care for animals in their home! Our second experience was Devine intervention. Our regular clinic had no availability and we needed our Lab seen asap. They just happened to have an appt available that same morning I called. We saw Dr. McCoy and he took good care of our old man. The only regret we have is not establishing care for our pups at this clinic sooner!

1st visit was great. They were fast & all the staff was nice! My dog has a lot of anxiety & they made myself and him feel comfortable! My dog is feeling much better to with the injection they gave him. Price was reasonable also most places I called charged twice as much! Also got appointment same week!

My husband and I recently moved to the area and needed to get established with a vet. CVS came highly recommended by our neighbors so we gave it a try. Our rescue Shepard/border collie mix needed a few shots updated and CVS was quick to get us an appointment. All of the staff was so nice to us and loved on our dog, who is petrified of the vet and other dogs after being attacked by another dog. The staff made us feel so welcome and Dr. Bagnoli was amazing. She was answered all our questions and did not rush out to the next appointment. She even called us after hours with blood work results. Overall, a great experience and we will be going back with our other dogs.

Our cat (Pumpkin) has been receiving care from Cave Spring Vet Clinic since the day my daughter rescued her and they have been our vet of our older cat as well for several years. These guys gave fast emergency care to my beloved dog Nikki, and I think the Covid Protocols actually seem to speed things up more. They had my dog indoors and under care in less than 5 mins after my arrival. While she was being cared for they noticed a Heart murmur that I didn't know about. They came out to my car and explained everything in great detail, told me how much things would be, and that put me in a good position to gauge whether or not I could afford to to pursue additional tests and care outside of the original purpose of my visit. I did order further tests, and additional care, and while not super cheap, you do get what you pay for here. We were in and out in under an hour, and my dog definitely didn't hate her visit. I will continue to use this Vet clinic for their efficiency, straightforwardness, and professionality. I am awaiting the results of the test I ordered as I write, and look forward to return trips for all my dogs needs. Hopefully those needs will be just routine, and our tests come back clean, but if they do not, I know who I will be scheduling with. Check em out folks!Will B.

He takes great care, compassion, empthay, knowledge, and his love for animals, makes him a great Dr., that I admire. Why does Cave Spring Vet Clinic get 5 stars? Mostly because my German Shepherd Luna knows best, she gives the Vet tech Hannah and Dr. Jessica Lynn lots of kisses. My 11 year old Shepherd has numerous medical conditions, as they tend to do. She receives excellent care and love from the knowledgeable providers. Trust your dog. I can not even begin to say how absolutely awesome Dr. McCoy is!! I have seen Dr. Karras and Dr. Ballard who are phenomenal!! I needed an urgent appointment for my two Goldens for ear infections, allergies, etc, and Dr. McCoy was the available doctor, so we went and he was so awesome! Not only did he see both of my boys, but he listened and we both decided together on the approach that we would take. Because we are advocates for our pets, sometimes we can feel overwhelmed and pressured at our vets because we may have different views on how to treat/care for them. Dr. McCoy is nothing like that, you will instantly feel comfortable and involved. He is also very knowledgeable on new studies/practices/tests etc in treating our pets. I would highly recommend Cave Spring Vet and Mr. McCoy to care for your pet. Also, on a side note, my dogs were literally showing so much improvement in just hours after seeing Dr. McCoy!

My very good boy Lenny ate a lot of not so good hair extensions. Dr. Karras took on my boy from another veterinarian office and was able to remove this and help him on his way to healing. The entire staff was friendly and empathetic to what was happening. I could not have been more impressed with their kindness and knowledge. Very thankful for their assistance.
