I had an order for 40 of the same items. Unfortunately there's only 10 in stock so I ended up going through three different people to find out if they had any in the back maybe or in stock somewhere else. One employee, who obviously didn't want to help, seemed to not be able to work the computer well enough to look it up. The other two didn't seem to care enough, to look it up. So then I was told for the fourth time, from an employee, the wrong location for the item that I came for in the first place. Then without looking up anything or checking, he just said, if you don't see it we don't have it. All three employees at the self checkout or member counter, just made it obvious that they didn't want to be there. Didn't want to help anyway.

Want to thank Jamie who was a super nice young gentleman today that helped me with a purchase of 2 lawn chairs. He came and put them in the roll cart. He took them to my vehicle and placed them in there very carefully. He was personable and nice and was very helpful with something that was too heavy for me to do

The tire shop wouldn’t put our Paid for tires on the 2017 Malibu because the technician tried to start the car one time and it didn’t start. Jacob, one of the store managers was No help and said it was a safety issue and he couldn’t ask his technician to put the tires on. I got on the phone and talked to their call center for two hours. Which they tried to help but to No avail. Don’t waste your time with this tire shop. We went to Firestone at Tanglewood they matched BJs price, provided a road hazard warranty, added lifetime alignment in at a reduced price after hearing of our troubles with Bjs. I’ve always shopped at Bjs and have been a loyal customer and I deserved much better service than they gave me.I’m writing again for this is the next day. So after we actually went to Firestone for service, the Manager there told us she would personally push the car in the stall and back out if she needed to for a 1000$ sell! She thought, as we did, that Bjs was ridiculous and pathetic! Needless to say, the car came in and out of the garage as I told BJ’s it would. We have owned the car for 4 years drive it daily?? What is their problem?

Great customer service!! I am so happy BJS came to Roanoke as they have awesome deals and products. It elites me driving 3 hrs to one. Also Virginia in customer service is great as our pick up order was missing something and she took care of us!! Give that lady a raise!!!

I want to recognize the good customer service that I received from James R. from the BJ’s in Roanoke Virginia. I was interested in a large garden planter that wasn’t in the same location in the store the second time I visited it. On my second visit I asked the nearest retail associate where it was and James R. quickly found the item for me. He also assisted me in getting the item in my cart as well as showing me some of the functions of it. Finally as I was checking out at the cash register I was having some problems with the automated transaction device. I needed assistance with this transaction and there was James R. again who assisted me. BJ’s is fortunate to have such a good hard working employee like James R. Sincerely, E. Roy Guerrant

I ordered $450 groceries to be shipped on 06/18/22. A week later, still had not received, so I called to cancel and was given a cancellation number. Refund never came. I spent the entire month of July calling repeatedly for the refund and each time, they told me it would be fixed. Yesterday, on 07/30/22 which is 6 weeks later, the order mysteriously showed up on my front porch. The entire $450 was packed into one huge box that weighed over 100lbs, and when I opened it, the grape jelly had busted and was covering everything in the box! Unbelievable! By law a retailer either must deliver items ordered OR give a refund within 30 days.

Love Bjs as always. But especially love the deli department, always so clean. The people who work there are always nice, and a special shout-out to Delores she is a sweetie, me and my man don’t eat pork for religious reasons, and she cleans the slicer for me when I ask her too. Can we tip deli employees? She deserves it. Anyways, yea I like this bjs, always clean and isn’t too crowded when I go in.

I didn't realize I needed a membership, and let's just say I wasn't told in a normal manner. I was even thinking about giving two Star only . I usto work here until a story was made up about me so I'd get fired, from management themselves I couldn't say I recommend for employment.

BJ's is a wholesale club, very big and is much like Sam's Club, but does carry some products in smaller, more manageable quantities than you might purchase at Sam's. Gas is discounted from labeled price with a membership. Their deli has an expansive variety of meats; many cheeses too. Bakery always has fresh baked goodies. Their sesame bagels are outstanding! Overall it is a nice place to shop and very cost effective. Coupons are received in the mail frequently, greeting cards are discounted too. Bring your walking shoes, because it's going to take a while to visit every department. Lots of good value for the price!

Very clean store. The employees are very helpful and polite. The fruits and vegetables look very fresh. Shopping carts are large and they have alot of parking in a clean parking lot too. The isles are very wide and spacious. Everything is where it belongs. No odd or misplaced items laying around. Every item has shelf priced labels that are very readable. No dust or trash laying anywhere.

I shop at BJ’s a lot.... I will definitely NEVER get propane here again and I highly recommend you avoid it at the Roanoke VA store as well. I asked the gas station attendant who told me its the tire center that handles it. (Not East to find and out of the way)I asked if she could please call to have someone meet me there, she did, although nobody showed up. Instead I saw two guys out side smoking and watching me off load a 100lb propane tank to be filled. After waiting about another 5-7min I decided to walk to the tire location to ask for help. As I get near the door one of guys smoking ask if I need help. Once he comes over, he was the informs me he doesn’t think they can fill a tank this size and leaves. He returned with an manager (I think) she apologized, which was nice, but felt insincere. I shared with the manager It would be helpful to have signs to let customers know that you need to go to the tire department not the gas station and it would be extremely helpful if you would please post the sizes you do and do not fill. Although again it felt like they didn’t care what I had to say. A VERY AVOIDABLE WASTE OF TIME!

EXCELLENT!! Great prices, better than Sam's. They take manufactures coupons along with digital & double coupons. Friendly staff. Best prices, fully stocked. Good buy to shopping at Walmart....B.J.'s is the place. Organic dairy, meats at amazing prices! Allergy meds excellent prices where CVS, Walgreens & other stores are so expensive & you don't get the quantity like you do at B.J.'s.

I was there in-club shopping yesterday for their grand opening. It was a great experience. All the staffs were wonderful and polite. Plus the prices are very reasonable. They currently offers coupons books for some of the items which already discounted when check out. This is a great place to shop to if you wanted some savings plus great customer services!

Great location here in Roanoke VA although close to another wholesale club Sam's club. My wife and I visited the store shortly after the opening so we could browse the store. The store appeared to be well laid out and clean and definitely has more food options than Sam's club, although some items are priced more. They also offer gas at reasonable prices. They have various membership options too.

Great place for medium size family. Best prices on deli meats and cheeses sliced to order. Meat dept. Cuts their own meats.beautiful cuts of meat. Options to save 25% or more on everyday items. Free to go in and visit. Decide if you wanna join then sign up. Worth it.I love BJ's and the Members!!

They've gotten better over the years. Coupons loaded onto card don't always come off at register so you have to be vigilent and check before leaving. You can ONLY purchase 20 items in the in club app which stinks. We got $300 worth of stuff and after item 20 had to go thru the line anyway!!BEEF: the FAMILY BATHROOM IS NOT AN EMPLOYEE HIDEOUT. We have a disabled daughter and because of her wheelchair nees the family bathroom. More often than not employees use the family bathroom to hide out while on the clock. Last one was last straw. My daughter is incontinent and if she has to go SHE HAS TO GO with only a 5 minute warning. 15 minutes we stood outside the family bathroom when FINALLY a boy of about 17 emerged, sticking his phone in his back pocket. Leave the family room for what it's intended! A mother with her handicap child was waiting after us.

People inside selling phones should NOT be in their store! They sale you a phone and then you go to an actual store for that carrier AT&T specifically and your bill will be more than what they tell you when you sign up for services!! Shame on BJs for letting those scammers be apart of your store !!! You don’t even get the phone the same day it will be mailed to you. Sounds all good in the beginning .

They're great and have just about if not anything you need. From meats and seasoning to clothes and giant bottles of shampoo. If you have a list they probably have giant sizes of it. Do pay close attention to the prices and get coupons if you have them! Definitely worth it even though your trip is probably going to cost you more than you thought.

This review is if you are shopping online. They claim delivery with in 2-5 business days however that is not the case at all. Took almost 2 weeks for me. Excuse was processing. Never again. I could have got the same item from Amazon, WalMart, or Best Buy for about the same price but figured I would use my membership for something. Next time I will pay the extra $30 and get my items in a much more timely manner.

We got a temporary pass to do some comparison shopping. First, we discovered that Kroger beats their prices on half of what we looked at. Then we discovered AT CHECKOUT that there was 20% surcharge on our purchase because it wasn't a full membership. This information should be made clear when the pass is issued and/or printed on the pass. We will not be returning.

Great choice of groceries and other items. Plenty of coupons both in store and in app. Friendly staff members and managers. They make you feel really welcomed there. They carry items that cannot be found in local Sam's Club. Opening at 9 even for in circle members. Strongly recommended. New members sign up online and save $$. Use BJ credit card to earn up to 5%cashbacks.

Bj's stocks a lot of the foods that I eat. Sam's Club does not. Large number of organic products. No waiting in line. Great place, great selection, great prices. They send you coupons too and membership was cheap. What is there not to like?

Great selection, especially frozen section and fresh meats.Please give a shout to Jesse who saw a lady (me) at the end of her shopping, tired, checked out and happy to finally find the drink machines (there could be few more of those around) at the very front of the store and no cash. Jesse came over and took pity on me, and for the price of $1 ended my shopping trip with such terrific customer service.Thanks Jesse

Disappointed. Was a member of BJs in Richmond. Really liked it. Shopped at BJs here in Roanoke on 2/4/19 for the second time since it opened. Prices notably higher than Sam's. 2 advertised items we went specifically to get were nowhere to be found. One item we normally get was $12 higher than Sam's. Did get a great price on gasoline. Staff was friendly. Some things we really like can only be found at Sam's. Decided that since Sam's has more of the things we like and overall better prices we should just stick with them. We asked BJs to cancel our membership. They did and refunded the membership cost no hassle.

I'm not a manager, but I'll bet the farm I could manage these stores better than they're currently being managed. This toilet paper crisis didn't start today. I hear they're still getting shipments in, it's just not enough. I'm sure we'll hear every excuse there is except personal responsibility. If you normally order 2 pilots of toilet paper, start ordering 12. They'll sell out too within hours. Where are they finding these managers at? Common sense has been thrown completely out of the u.s. Update on 09/17/21. Was checking out today and when I did it said, "stop by customer service and get your updated card". So, I stop by. the "genius" at customer service desk didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about, so I just said, screw it and walked out. While I did, the genius was hollering at me. Not sure what the "genius" wanted, but I'l be dang if I was going to walk back. This place is a mess and I do NOT recommend. They're going to fold. Matter of time. Watch

This store kept my banking info and took money from my account. I did not want to renew my membership but they took the money anyway. I've tried to get in touch every way that I know how. They wont answer the phone. I waited 11/2 hours to speak to someone. They wont answer or return calls or emails. I will never do business with these thieves again. I want my money back!!! They took my money and now wint give it back. I hate a thief.
