I would like to compliment the store for employing someone like Lora. I purchased an expensive Traeger grill to be delivered assembled. Early in the morning of the scheduled delivery day, Lora called to make me aware that she had noticed that there was a dent in one of the leg braces and she was not going to send it out for delivery before making me aware and offering a price reduction. She agreed to text a photo of the damage. Since this was a gift, I decided to let her schedule another grill the following week. I appreciated Lora being concerned about me being disappointed with the delivery of a damaged item. Not everyone would display this concern for customer satisfaction.

I acknowledge that I did not retain the receipt, yet I proceeded based on the understanding that non-receipted returns could be facilitated by other means, such as verification through the gift card used for the purchase. Regrettably, the customer service representative at the store explicitly denied the return due to the absence of a physical receipt and repeatedly emphasized the pronoun "you" in a manner that seemed pointed and discriminatory.When questioned if the denial was based on my Hispanic heritage, the representative continued to use "you" in their responses, which not only escalated the situation but also implied a personalized refusal. I sought only to exchange the item for some unfinished flooring, not a refund, yet was still denied.This experience compels me to question whether Home Depot's policies are uniformly applied regardless of race or ethnicity. Such treatment is not only disappointing but potentially indicative of broader systemic issues that need to be addressed.I urge Home Depot to investigate this matter thoroughly and to re-evaluate its training programs to ensure that all customers are treated with fairness and respect, irrespective of their background. Until I am confident that Home Depot has taken steps to rectify this issue and prevent future occurrences, I will refrain from patronizing your stores and will advise others to consider doing the same.

I'm a very reasonable person, but I can honestly say I probably had one of the most horrible purchase experiences buying my toro zero turn mower. It was back and forth with the customer service when purchasing online. Firstly, I wanted one that hadn't been sitting outisde in the weather. Then I get informed that none of the Toros at the store had any keys. The drop date was pushed back.. I'm told I will get a discount if I go get the keys MYSELF from tractor supply. I then get another call a day later saying they found a key. I get my mower dropped many days after ideal date, however, I'm told I'd be recieving a call when it is in route. I never got a call. After waiting around all day I go outside to see my mower had been dropped off to the WRONG house on another street. I couldn't get through to a customer service agent. I had to push the mower in neutral all the way to my house. It was cleary one that had been sitting outside as hardware and engine casing was weathered. Once powered up and riding, to top it all off, the alignment was off. SMH. Had to call yet again because the discount was never processed. Very disappointing.

We received excellent service from Pauline at the customer service desk. There was no one working appliances so we had to place an order with the customer service desk. Then we found out the Home Depot system couldn't accommodate using both gift cards and a promotional code, so after the purchase Pauline called the bank on our behalf to ask them to apply our promotional code for special financing. She was very transparent about the limitations of the system and was still persistent to make a great deal happen for us. Thank you so much Pauline!

I went for a price match on a ryobi stapler. They said because the stapler was offered on amazon they wouldn’t offer it. I showed them it was sold by amazon , not a third party seller on amazon and they still wouldn’t honor it. This is directly against the policy on price matching, that does exclude third party sellers but honors direct sales from online retailers. I went to a different Home Depot to get my price match but what a waste of gas. Don’t waste your time here they’re just trying to get you out the store as fast as possible, and the guy who I talked to first got smart with me and felt like it was a challenge of who is right of wrong.I bought a soda just so I could leave a bad review.

I came here looking for a water spicket for my hose because it was leaking and this Gentleman JT who works here asked me what he could help me with and showed me the perfect outside valve to use. I bought it and installed it and this man saved my elderly mom $400.00 from a plumbers service call. That was amazing customer service I received. Thank you sir for your assistance and Merry Christmas.

I have been shopping at this store for almost 20 years. I came to this store today to return a blind which I ordered at colonial heights store but it was sent as wrong size. None of them helped out and suggested me to go back to colonial heights store to return this item. It’s rainy day and colonial heights store is 30 miles from here. Not helpful

I am not shopping at home depot again. This was the 5th time you guys never called me a day before for a delivery window. Last 4 times I got the refrigerators with dents and damages which I had to return. This time was a white glove delivery which means everything will be perfect but 😆 never got a call a day before for a window. I am really very upset and I am going to cancel my order and will never shop again. I am done!!! I see you guys are don't care about the reviews people are giving you 1 star....

I had a defective wash machine delivered Friday that is leaking from the bottom after install that the delivery driver was supposed to come out and look at but never did. Called Sunday and said someone will call in 2-24 hours for an appointment window and never got a call. Just called the customer service number and got the worst employee ever that is loud talking over me and telling me I have to wait for anything to be done and that it was documented notes of my call in Sunday…of course not they try to get you pass that 48 hour return window with lies

Went to the checkout with a human being and had to interrupt her on the phone to get her to check my stuff out. Didn't acknowledge me, scanned my stuff, and the receipt spit out so I had to grab it. She was trying to hide behind the register with her phone so I looked to confirm she was texting. Never said hello or thanks or anything.Maybe you should just go to fully automated everything since the staff don't seem to want to speak or make eye contact with anyone? Was really disappointed that she was THAT fixated on her phone.

Along with the other comments below.. i will never shop there again.. i have spent thousnds of dollars over the years here and now i will never go in there again. Along with the employees being rude and not very knilegable.. if you ask them.. i walked upon a group of 4 or 5 employess huddle in the back corner of the store on the phone.. luckily i knew what i needed and didnt need help. .. after 30 minutes or so, i forgot something else i need where they were.. and still they were on the phone...i even asked them when i went by if they worked or was gonna do some work that day and they just laughed... so pathetic! Thats not the ony time ive seen that! Tho with others discusted with the store.. theres gotten to be where theres 40people in line and only one register open with a real person.. I dont know how you think this is a good way to run a place, but you would be better off to close it down with no more help and lack of concern of how long it takes to grt out of there at peak times!

Wonderful staff, great selection of products on the floor. However, they do not carry any dishwashers that can be purchased to carry out with you to do a same day replacement.No changes store still clean well staffed. However, today (5-29-22), the store was pretty much empty of customers.9-27-2022: store was pretty steady this morning, had a full staff in the floor all registers were open along with the self check out. Store clean had exactly what I needed.11-30-2022: very busy, many checkouts open, all self checkouts with two employees assisting.

Ordered windows in May and still missing one window. I have been in this store three times and each time Manager makes a promise, takes my number and never hear anything. I have been charged full amount but no product.They used some third party that delivers and the delivery person left windows leaning on my garage door, damaging the door that needed to be replaced. Filed a claim, but nothing on that either.Very frustrating!4 months later and still nothing on this claim. Started in June 2020 and now it’s December 2020.

Regular customer and want to keep using this store instead of Lowe’s, which is closer to my house. Over the past few months, customer service and cleanliness has tanked to almost non-existent. There doesn’t seem to be many employees available to help inside. Today, the parking lot was atrocious. Trash and debris of every variety from medical masks to candy wrappers to drink bottles to construction debris… Everything...literally the whole parking lot. Nobody wants to walk through a dumping ground to go pick up a few things for a project. This was the view from my vehicle, but this view was continuous from one end of the parking lot to the other. I don’t know if new management took over this store recently, but they better get it together.

I've done several renovations with this Home Depot as my main supply. The staff is super helpful. At one point someone spent over an hour cutting and threading pipe for me. And he was happy doing it. The people at the paint desk are also noticeably more helpful than other places I've been. I look forward to getting my home improvement supplies from this location.

I went for potting soil and came home with a double knockout rose bush, 22 gallon planter, Daffodils, a Meyer lemon tree and 4 bags of black mulch. The prices were great. I think I will make another trip.

Went in here today for some bondo for my husband's truck. Asked for help to find it and once we were helped grabbed some sand paper as well. Went to the self check out and their blatantly obvious loss prevention woman was ON TOP of us at the self check out. She was literally not even a foot from my left side pretending to look at gum. Of course I had to say something and she pretended like she had no clue what was going on but she had a walky talky in her back pocket. If you are going to have loss prevention in the store maybe don't have them standing on top of people and making themselves SO obvious. I can afford to buy whatever I need so we aren't the people to be after and maybe don't make people physically uncomfortable.

Good luck getting help in the paint department. Literally stood in the mans face for 25 mins at the counter he never once asked if I needed help nor was he working. Then went and asked if he was the only one working that dept I was told they would call someone over there and they never did. So I left and spent my money else where and got way better service!

Very poor experience in the appliance section. My parents went there to buy a freezer. They knew which one they wanted. The “sales” lady told them they could save $100 if they signed up for a Home Depot card. My dad agreed - the application took a loooong time and then after all that - the “sales” lady said actually, the discount is for only $50. My dad said he did not want to apply for just a $50 discount. He still had every intention to buy the freezer, but he got such attitude from the associate, he ended up just cancelling the whole thing. Obviously this store does plenty of business and they don’t care if they lose a sale because of the distasteful behavior of an associate. Fortunately there are many other options in Richmond.

Very friendly and great customer service. My dad and I love Rob. My dad's was trying to repair a paint gun today and we were having no luck trying out any of the parts. Rob came along and was very friendly and helpful. They didn't have the exact part, but we were able to put together multiple parts and find a solution. He saved us time and was very knowledgeable.

Customer service could be better. I waited in front of employees for service and they looked away until I leaned on the counter. They then asked if I needed help and acted put out when I said yes.
