We ordered lunch at work from Taste. I was really excited when I looked over the menu - sounds like Yum. I ordered the Cobb Salad, and was Amazing. Was not disappointed. Roasted chicken breast was delicious. Greens, veggies, dressing, bacon, and cheese were fresh. Bread was tasty. I typically do not eat croutons, but these were so garlicky good. Everyone else ordered a sandwich, and loved them all. Great experience. Hopefully we will order again.

NOT ALLERGEN FRIENDLY. I went to buy a salad cup with vegan cheese and it had daiya cheese squares. I thought to myself how I never saw that vegan brand of cheese come in squares. Luckily there were two other cups there, that showed someone put actual mozzarella cheese chunks in the container that was supposed to be DAIRY FREE. I have a severe dairy allergy and this could have costed me my life. Do not eat here if you have an allergy, do not trust the ingredients label to be correct.Dietary restrictions: Not allergen friendly.

Was very disappointed in the sandwich. I was looking forward to eating a yummy sandwich but when I opened the wrapper, this is how the sandwich looked. Very messy, and there was a little plastic thing on my sandwich I took it off, but that was gross. Also, the one half did not have any meat on the sandwich and the other had all the meat, and I could not even eat it because when I held the sandwich, the meat slipped off. Was very messy and had to eat with fork and knife. Disappointed.

For the record, love Taste Unlimited near the beach, The Cheese Shop in Williamsburg, and even Take it Away in C-ville, but this is a POOR attempt at trying to be those. I’ve eaten at Taste from shortly after they opened and again yesterday and have ALWAYS been disappointed. My order has always been wrong in some way and the quality of the sandwich in no way compares to its sister restaurants. The sandwich I got yesterday (and prior) was poorly made with what looked like scrap bread (I normally love the French bread the other places do), the meat was inconsistently sliced, and my order was wrong. I guess the house dressing was okay, but that’s all I can say because Subway normally takes more care with inferior ingredients. I really wanted this to be good, which is why I gave it one more shot. Don’t waste your time or money on this poor copy of other great sandwich shops - this ain’t it.

Interesting collection of gourmet food items. Amazing chocolate chip cookies! Craft beer, cheese, peanuts, home made spreads and sauces. We had a $50 gift card and we got a little bit of everything. They have a nice Cafe on site where you can sit and eat. Also, beer and wine on tap. Very cool little spot!

It's a good sandwich shop, with extra perks. The sandwiches are quite good really, but there are plenty of sandwich shops. Here there are sides, soups, wraps, and other supplemental items as well a group of salads you can choose from.Veg and non-veg alike. The queen anne and the inlet are both very good. Bread is always fresh and toppings as well.They also have a decent Beer selection and an very good wine selection, including taps for both supporting their bottle selection.Services is ordering at counter and delivered to your table.Plenty of seating, including a handicap accessible ramp at back. Also outside tables in good weather.Parking on street or lot behind the row of buildings. Kids menu for the very little ones. Usually love this place, took our daughter food arrives and the bread and butter we ordered with our salads was 2 end pieces...slivers..hard as a crouton no butter.But when I took to exchange the first girl said thats what you get with a salad.And I said No, we have had it many times.She stood still for many moments. Finally went to a tall girl.Who stood still and stared hard at me.She gave me 2 slices.of white bread . I said we ordered multi grain she went back and got that.No appologies no butter just treated me like I was very out of place.I mean the bread is so awesome it is why you go.But the salads had been premade and half frozen.I didnt eat my thai chicken salad and our daughter didnt touch her spinach salad after a few bites.

Big fan of this place, I have not eaten at the RVA location yet. I was a card carrying regular at the Chesapeake spot. I did stroll through during the Holidays recently. It was crazy busy but super cute!

Nice to have a TASTE in Richmond. Easy parking in the back lot and they will validate your ticket so it's free. Food is not quite as good as originals down in Norfolk/Virginia Beach but the service is much, much faster.

Devastating day at TASTE today. Arrived at 1:52, food ready at 2:42. No warning about delay, no updates along the way. Management sarted offering other tables chips and cookies as consolation eventually. Reallying struggling to ever bring myself back here again.

The food at this place is so amazingly good, I really can't recommended it enough. Just a simple turkey sandwich can be elevated to amazing levels with them. And honestly, the prices are really *great*, really reasonable. In addition, they have Seven Layer Bars there- which is like the taste of my childhood (it's what my mom used make for us when we were good). Try it!! You'll love it!!

So excited to have one of these in Richmond now! I've been to their Chesapeake location and loved it. When I heard they had opened one near me, I had to go check it out. So, I stopped by today for lunch right around 12:30pm and waited for about 15 minutes to place my order. They don't have a menu on the wall but they have paper menus at each register for customers to grab while you're in line. I ordered the boardwalk without coleslaw and a side of their house dressing with pimento kettle chips. The sandwich was delicious and I dipped every bite into that side of house sauce! Definitely order a side of house dressing with your sandwich! It's so good! I had ordered everything to go but I saw some open seating in the back near the coffee and gelato bar and decided to sit and enjoy half of my sandwich there. I loved looking around at all the local items to buy; they have local peanuts for sampling at the front and they usually have a free sample of one of their local dips near the register as well. It's a very laid back atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and willing to help. Definitely sign up for their free rewards program too while you're at it!

Decent food and clean. Way overpriced! I stood at the register for at least a few min with 5 employees - not once was I acknowledged in the slightest bit. Finally an employee told another one to go and ring me up. Definitely makes me never want to return again.

Wish I could leave a good review. They were out of chicken breast. Out. How is a restaurant where chicken breast is 80% of the menu out of it? Not sure who was in charge but I would have gone somewhere and gotten the most common ingredient that is readily available everywhere. Unless they don't have a means to cook it, then I understand but then I would question thier freshness of their chicken breast. So maybe it's a no win for me. In my restaurant history, if we were out of something, we went and got it. Turning down customers for no chicken breast is ridiculous. This was my first time.

The food is always great at TASTE. However, the service behind the counter is always incredibly nice but incredibly slow. We sat and watched the woman making smoothies not produce a single smoothie for a solid 15 minutes. She talked and played around with another woman putting together samples. It took 45 MINUTES for us to get TWO SMOOTHIES and she didn’t do a solid 5 minutes of work the entire time we sat infront of the restaurant.

We went for lunch and, despite a holiday crowd, were served very quickly and received our food shortly thereafter. Bright, and cheerful spot with a lot of variety for sandwiches, deli prepared food, beer and wine, and gourmet snacks. My baked ham sandwich had generous portions of both the meat and the brie cheese that I paid extra for. Wonderful selection of fountain drinks, including fresh-brewed tea. I enjoyed both the cinnamon and the apricot unsweetened tea today! Parking might be a little tough, but is definitely worth hunting for a spot!

Craving a Cobb salad from the Continental but the bar was full so I tried Taste. Firstly the ambiance is offputting. Its loud, and they chose chairs that sound like nails on chalkboard when moved on the floor. No one is under the age of 50 yet they’re playing bad classic rock. So I order. Menu is plain. Happy to see a Cobb salad so I get it. It comes out quick bc it looks preprepared which is also offputting, and I open it and start to eat it. The tomatoes are mealy and the avocado pieces are completely unripe. Like so noticeably unripe that it’s shameful anyone thought ‘good enough’ and put it in a $13 salad. Lastly. It’s cold and rainy outside and they have the AC set to like 65. This place leaves a lot to be desired..

TASTE is an amazing place. Fresh food with vegan and vegetarian options. The store side also has a lot of tasty and unique items. I recommend the pumpkin corn chowder and fall harvest salad with maple pumpkin dressing. The impossible meatloaf sandwich was also highly recommended by a friend.

Taste has some of the best catering in Richmond. Not only is their food amazing but their team, Holly and Cheyenne are some of the kindest and most easy to work with professionals. Every time I order our employees love the food and I am left with a smile after working with them. I will continue to order catering here for years to come!

Ordered one sandwich to-go. Was annoyed that it wasn’t ready after 30 minutes but others seemed to be waiting that long as well so I didn’t complain. After 45 minutes I asked what was going on and they said my order would be ready shortly and the kitchen was backed up. I saw people who had ordered well after me get their food. I complained again after an hour had gone by since I ordered and they suddenly realized they lost my order and made it within minutes. Over an hour for ONE SANDWICH? Definitely NOT worth it. I will not be back.

Quality of the food and service is exceptional. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is energetic and bright. Great for a quick bite or to sit down with a friend and talk for a couple hours. Kids, families, solos, business meetups are all normal here. Staff is some of the friendliest I've ever seen.

We had 3 adults and 2 kids for dinner and were underwhelmed with the quality of our sandwiches -- the bread on one was cold and soggy and had obviously been sitting in a fridge for awhile (despite being ordered from the counter). The other sandwiches were fine but nothing to write home about, especially given the price. The soups were really tasty but the bread ends they came with were stale / tough. If the prices were lower or the food was better we might have gone back, but as it is we don't plan to.

The sandwiches are huge!! Also, delicious 👍. Soup was good as well as the chips and designer sodas. Bought spices and take home spreads. Very cool, fun lunch spot!
