One stop shop for most of my grocery and household needs. Picked up a couple Home Chef heat and eat meals, but not for me. They have a good amount of gluten free choices, but they just about all have dairy. The bathroom is no longer at the front left of the store it is to the right by the pharmacy. Pretty good cheese selection, but i would like more lactose free(goat cheese or buffalo cheese) options.

Anthony from the deli department assisted me with a large catering order. He called me regarding my special instructions prior to starting my order to confirm what I wanted. When I picked up the order he was so helpful and accommodating and helped me check out and load it into my car. When there was a hold up at the cash register, he offered to keep the food cold for me in case it took a while. Thank you Anthony! Highly recommend using them for catering. It was not only affordable, but fresh and delicious!

Waited over an hour last night for a pick up order and ended up leaving without it. Then, at 7AM this morning received a receipt and was charged for $126. When I finally got in contact with someone they said they likely "gave it away" to someone else (this morning?). Regardless, very disappointed with this experience and will be visiting another Kroger from now on. Someone in customer service was able to assist with a refund (in 7-10 days) but still don't have the groceries.

I went shopping here today to stock drinks for a company. Upon purchasing them I was at my vehicle and had my cart snatched backward behind me by “security” demanding a receipt after a cashier had rang me through and wearing no signifier for the store. I took video and will be sending it in the proper channels. Apparently borderline assaulting and harassing customers is the new norm here.

Their self checkout is very annoying to use especially with the new overhead cameras. Every time I put my reusable bags down, it would trigger the anti-theft system and an employee would have to come over and review the footage. Throughout the checkout process, it felt like I was doing something wrong (even though, I was just bagging my groceries). Despite the footage showing nothing amiss, the employee continually implied that I was stealing from the store.I did not enjoy the dystopian feel of these overhead cameras. It feels like another example of corporate greed, Kroger is focused more on people stealing food (which by the way is a basic need that some people cannot afford! how much can theft really be hurting a huge corporation like Kroger?) than caring about their customers

Got to the store 5 minutes prior to the suppose to be close time “12 am” and NORMAN stood at the door and told me they were closed because he has to do a store walk. I explained all I needed was one item and knew exactly where it was, he didn’t care proceeded to close the door while I was talking, great customer service. And no this review is not left off emotions as I got what i needed elsewhere. I’ve been to numerous of Kroger’s prior to closing and never had this issue.

Always check your receipts. This store is notorious for leaving old sale tags up advertising a specific price and then it rarely rings up appropriately. Ask for a manager to address the issue and there's literally not one in the store. The employees are doing their best but clearly management is lacking.

I like Carytown Kroger and go there almost everyday. However, the digital coupons are unreliable and often do not work.I clip them on my computer and only a few work. Then I go back into the store and clip them with my camera and they still do not work. Then I ask the cashier to adjust the price and some do and some don't.Then I go to customer service and they say that their computer is not able to fix or adjust the problem.

There is a predator who exposes himself to women in the parking lot of this store. 6' white, drives a dark blue Subaru outback with a bike rack on back. He sits in the car with the window down and waits for victims to pull up. Be aware and call the cops if you see anything weird.

Declined over time. The physical plant of the store is starting to look old and dingy, especially compared to the Publix just across the street. The layout of items seems a bit chaotic, like they ran out of space and had to pick random spots to add extra things. The staff are stressed, less pleasant and helpful than they used to be. Still has a good selection of items. The pharmacy here is a bit slower than the one on Forest Hill.

This is my third time coming to cash a money order. The first two times were a breeze. This time it was a woman that I’ve never seen and she told me I couldn’t cash my money order because it’s made out to me and that it has to be blank or made to Kroger which doesn’t makes sense. Who is walking around with a blank money order that anyone can cash and how come I was able to cash it the first two times? Of course the manager was “unavailable “ so I called customer service. I think there needs to be some re training. I don’t understand how one person let me do it and the other says it’s against policy.

Today I finally returned to this Kroger location in Carytown. Immediately I was greeted by staff upon entering the store. Honestly, it’s my favorite Kroger location. Even though I drive one hour from Farmville VA, it’s worth the trip! This store carries a lot of the organic and Simple Truth brand items that I like. Plus it’s an opportunity to see some other stores in Carytown during my visit. The employees at this store are very helpful and provided accurate information on which aisle to find the items that I needed.

Tim was great cashier. Always helpful. Ava and her boss Lisa are rude and unhelpful with passive aggressive attitudes.Sale prices on shelves are frequently not loaded into system so customers are charged full price at register. Check your receipt. Managers give us the attitude like that's the customers' fault. The best discount prices apparently require you to load kroger app on your phone. This discriminates against folks who can't afford cell phones and has major privacy concerns. Why do I need a kroger app on my phone to get a sale price? Frequently require you to buy 5 of something to get the sale price which discriminates against single people living on fixed income who can least afford to do that.Best to go to Walmart for prices and customer service. Understaffed. Paper bags tear repeatedly spilling groceries. Would suggest that Kroger hire people who are focused on providing customers a good experience. This would not be Ava or Lisa.

I shop at Carytown Kroger usually everyday. Most of the time without any issues. I have over the past few months noticed a couple of things, that I think should be addressed. It seems when I go thru the self checkout and I need any kind of assistance it is a problem. I don't feel like a valued customer when someone rolls their eyes at me and acts as if I've offended them because they have to get off their phone to help me.I have also noticed every afternoon at 5 pm Kroger chooses to close down 12 self checkout lines, leaving only 3 small stations, 2 large self checkout stations and 1 full service register. I don't understand why you would do that when the parking lot is overflowing with cars and the lines literally winding down the aisles. There is just no excuse for it to take 20 minutes to checkout.Sometimes I think I might just become a Publix shopper. I can get thru the checkout process in under 5 minutes and none of their employees has ever been annoyed when I asked for help.

For two weeks in a row now we have waited over an hour for grocery pickup. This is a recent thing, in the past it was very good. I can not get an answer on the phone and it will now be close to 8 o'clock before our kids get to eat and groceries are put away. I will not be going to this Kroger moving forward. I hope they're able to get the one, single person, help to load vehicles up and deliver the orders. It would have take less time to get the groceries and ring them up ourselves.

In my self-checkout station, there were no paper bags. I asked an employee for some. She said they were out. Well, when I was leaving, I noticed that there were paper bags at other checkout stations and at the cash registers. Customer service at Kroger is unacceptable.

Price gouging WIC items. WIC items are like doube the price per calorie as any other food... coincidence? This type of capitalism is like why do we not just have government food stores? Couldn't be worse than this

Decent Kroger but don’t come here after 9pm. Also, I think the produce and cheeses are not that great and quite expensive compared to Lidl. So, we onlycome here to get sea food or specific products in the organic aisle. Also, I noticed that they stopped selling Organic Valley lactose free milk which is my favorite milk.

Best Richmond Kroger. I say hi to everyone who works here and they say hi back. I feel like family when I shop at this Kroger. I’d die for this Kroger tbh.

Kroger is a full service supermarket. Produce selection is usually top notch. Meats, etc. better than average. A good all around store.

Want to shop somewhere with a high number of expired items, expired sales tags, and a customer service that isn’t even open once you drive back to get a refund/replacement? Then shop your Carytown Kroger!

This Kroger is significantly nicer than the other location (the one by the Lowes). Produce is high quality and often in generous sales, it is better stocked, and it is cleaner. Overall a nicer experience, if you have to go to Kroger this would be the one to go to. Still more expensive than some other options, but for a Kroger, it is five star.

Nice place besides the Lombardy Street Kroger and the Willow Lawn Kroger, and let's not forget that Food Lion is not to be excluded from the stores that I love and respect.

It is a Kroger, but stay away from the cocktail shrimp in the blue trays. They have been screwing them up for the last month. They are rubbery and inedible. Not sure what has happened, but every one I have gotten has been terrible.

I went into the store to buy some fried chicken late night. It turns out they close the prepared food area around 8. A delightful lady named O went out of her way to retrieve me some chicken from the back!

I NEED to give a shoutout to Cevion, Jaizha, and the other pick-up staff working 8/29 PM because they were absolutely HUSTLING on orders tonight. They were a little behind but gave GREAT customer service while people were upset about it taking some time to get their groceries. Usually my order is ready to be picked up, but this was the first time having to wait. Their kindness and work ethic was above and beyond - I didn’t even mind the wait. They need bonuses! Thank you to you both!

Came to Kroger today after a pretty long day and went to Vincsehena’s (sorry about the spelling if it’s wrong!) line. Her cheery attitude and smile really made my day. Thank you!!

Curbside here is a disaster. Over an hour wait. Multiple times! Always understaffed. No communication regarding subs or ability to pick something else. Worst Kroger this side of the Mississippi River.

As far as grocery stores go, this Kroger is no different than most. Decent selections, decent prices. Unfortunately, this parking lot is among the worst. They have allowed their shopping cart stalls to slide out of their spaces, thus making THREE parking spaces useless...and this is all across the lot! Parking at the Publix across the street is much better.

This store is usually clean and well stocked. The small parking lot can be tricky to navigate. However, often I can be in and out quickly using self checkout, but on this day one group of self checks was closed and the line for the open stations stretched half way down the store. Of course, the staffed registers had long lines too. Not clear what was going on, hadn't seen that before.
