My experience with PetSmart grooming in Herndon, VA was nothing short of horrendous. From the moment I dropped off my dog, the staff was unwelcoming and unprofessional. When I called for an update on my puppy, they rudely yelled at me, claiming it was a 4-hour service and he wasn't ready yet. My poor 3-month-old puppy was clearly stressed during his time there.To make matters worse, when I finally picked him up, he was shivering uncontrollably. It's clear that PetSmart's grooming service lacks care and compassion for animals. Never again will I subject my pet to such a traumatic experience at PetSmart. Avoid at all costs.

I am out of town and I booked my 11 mo old shorkie for a bathing appointment, that comes with a sani trim and ear plucking with request. I picked my pup up halfway dried with no ear plucking. They informed me he was puppy crazy and they could not preform the services because of his behavior. My puppy has been getting groomed by multiple different groomers since 2 mo old. This is the first time I’ve ever had anyone tell me they couldn’t preform a service because of behavior. I picked him up shivering and shaking. He seemed very out of character. I was really nervous to why he was acting this was. It took almost 5 hours for him to drink any water. He would not leave my side and was very clingy. This is very unusual for his behavior. Something is off about this PetSmart grooming facility. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I love my fur baby so much and I feel so guilty as a dog mom to have let whatever might have happened, happen. I will not be a repeating customer at this salon

I have a mini Aussie who is harmless and anxious who needs a haircut. I have gone to PetSmart for X amount of time. As of today I was informed my dog is on the "do not groom list." Why? Supposedly he bites. I've had my dog just over 3 years with no incidents of biting people. PetSmart had offered their service to put a muzzle and were going to charge extra. I accepted. Today trying to request for a haircut/grooming, they inform they cannot because he's on the "do not groom" and won't apply the muzzle. I'm conflicted. If they tell me they have a particular service, I accept, and they decline the service. Won't you be confused as to why they're offering X service".I find this place to be confusing, has no sense of direction, no proper directive. Oh... they over charge for their fee :)I find this to be an inconvenience and unprofessional.
