I've been bringing my bernadoodle Ammo here to get groomed for years now. Darma and the friendly staff know him by name. They do an excellent job making him look handsome.

I will give this pets smart 3,5* based on my overall experience. Mainly due to the customer service not always being up to a standard. Often the reception staff at the doggy hotel has a negative attitude and it comes off as in titled, and you bet that I would match your energy. In the future I would be happy to update my review if I notice a positive change. Being kind should not be hard especially if that’s part of your job.

Honestly They better then Vienna location but I still wish they had more at Manassas store. Lot of updates but over all not much of change in retail. New uniform and little more laid back .. cool

I took my small dog to get a hair cut and told the lady I wanted a trim on his tail. I was aware my dog had knots and needed a good brush and was aware I may be charge extra apart from $74 but was not expecting to pick up my dog and seen him shave off including his rail except for the tip of it. My daughter started crying seeing him like that. I went back after paying at the cashier and was told he needed to be shaved off because he had knots. I then realized I got charged $40 for brushing then another $10 for handling the dog plus the $74. I told the groomer at the other location they didn’t shaved him off previously and he had more knots than this time. I felt so bad and regretted going there. I had also chosen a different person to the job and when I got there someone else had done it. I wasn’t expecting to see my dog like this specially for having him like this on this weather and also for the holidays.Clearly they didn’t take their time and I know they were busy but I would had preferred to be called and said he needed to be shaved off prior and would have said no and picked him up. I would never bring him back to this place. The Sterling one has way more experience and patience.

Very unprofessional customer care,And that immature attitude went wrong way to handle my cat. And reported my cat for her biting. And the staff emphasized the severity of animal control and all knowledge she learned.Nothing but very immature, noisy, uncomfortable things. My cat looks so scary. Never use this place!

This was my third try having my golden retriever mix groomed at this location. Twice I paid for the Furminator deluxe (which I have been very pleased with at other groomers) and both times he was “done” in about two hours. Today he had sticky mats here and there and small matted balls loose all over is body. His fur shedding at 100% even after “a twenty minute Furminator brush out, Furminator shampoo, etc. I honestly don’t believe that the staff are actually completing the services that are listed in their packages and confirmed that I wanted them before the grooming. We will NOT be back.

The Groomers at this specific Pet Smart do not know what they are doing. I made an appointment for my dog 3 days before Christmas and chose a specific groomer when I made the appointment online and turns out someone completely different cut his hair, this guy did a terrible job. I took my dog in the day of his appointment and the lady at the front desk told me “We might charge a 10-20 dollar fee for the time we spend de matting him” She had also mentioned they were very busy due to the holidays. I told her it was fine because I knew he had some knots on him. I told her I would like for them to de-matt as much as they could so his hair wouldn’t be cut so short. I had also mentioned I wanted a slight trim on his tail. I returned to pick him up and was shocked by the way he looked. His hair was completely shaved off to his skin as well as his tail. The only hair left on his tail was on the very tip and it was left long which looks absolutely horrible. I also mentioned I wanted his face round and it was not cut round whatsoever. My dog came out of the groomers with a chunk of hair hanging from the bottom of his neck. I could also clearly see a line between his head and his neck that shows the length difference from his head which was left much longer. The groomer who cut his hair was a Male, don’t know his name. It looks like they just didn’t want to spend time brushing out his knots because they were busy so they just decided to shave it off. I did not even receive a call asking if it was okay to shave off his hair, which I would’ve very much appreciated. I have only token my dog to the groomers once which was at the Pet Smart in Sterling and it was great. I will NEVER bring my dog here again. Customer service is horrible. This was not the haircut I asked for and if they weren’t able to do what I asked for, why not just call me and ask if I still wanted them to do something different? This is my dog not theirs, so they shouldn’t have done this without consent from me anyway. The price I paid for this terrible haircut was crazy. I was charged and extra $50 for the time spent to de-matt him which was apparently “1 hour”Even though they shaved him off, so what was the point of the de-matting anyway? I was left speechless. This groomer did what ever he wanted to do on MY dog, and what ever he did, It looks absolutely horrible. Would not recommend him to cut any dogs hair, someone needs some more training… I will not be spending a penny on someone like him to cut my dogs hair again.

Ran in to get a particular soft, chewable, throw ball. It's so hard to destroy, my Husky has been trying for 2 years to shred this ball and. He can't, but it got so smelly, we had to get a new one. They were sold out in Leesburg and Sterling, VA. So I go there. And a manager saw me standing in line and asked a staff member to check me out. Not to mention I could tell by the Huge Parka she was leaving work. Anyways, with a huge smile a greeting the clerk checked me and I was on my way!! ROCK ON SHAKA KHAN

The employees here are very helpful. Stacey showed me some hamsters at 50% off because they have been there 4 months. They were pretty big considering I am used to Roborovskis which are very tiny. Stacey was very patient and nice, and she ended helping me with my pickup online order. I don't shop at petsmart much, and it's amazing how covid has impacted even pet stores. Looks like the winning businesses are those that contribute to political campaigns 🙄

Terrible grooming services, they took 5-6 hours for grooming and they did terrible work. They completely messed up my puppy hair and I couldn’t even recognize him.Even after giving them instructions not to cut the hair short , they trimmed a lot and lot of patches.My golden retriever is looking like golden husky.😡😡😡

I usually get all my services with Petsmart. I have my pup on a package deal for Banfield hospital, he goes to the pet hotel, and grooming. I’ve been using their services since living in Alabama. So when I moved almost 1000 miles away I was super excited to know that was one thing that didn’t have to change. In October I signed him up for the Halloween special. I was excited that my pup was going to get to play, have a spa day and get a few goodies like a handkerchief of The Nightmare Before Christmas and a coupon book with over $300 in savings.When I picked up my pup there was a stink on his coat. No handkerchief and no coupon. I left them a survey. I received a call that next Monday and the girl on the phone offered me a complimentary spa visit. I wasn’t able to get to PS that Saturday. I tried calling a few weeks later when I was told I no longer had that available( No where in our conversation that day when she offered it, did she give me a time frame). I believe in controlling my reactions, therefore I told her I would not be using their services any further. Wasted energy is far worse than wasted money. No employee was rude in my interactions. However they need to retrain their staff and honor their offers. That is not how you do business.

This PetSmart injured my family member, Skittles. This is what happens when my family member gets a haircut, full bath, and nail trim. His dewclaw was chopped off and now he has to take pain and anti-inflammatory medication every 12 hours for the next 21 days. I called the store and talked to the grooming salon manager and then the store manager, Armando. The store manager never inquired about my dog's health status and never acknowledged that the incident happened. Furthermore, the store manager didn't even offer any apologies for the incident taking place regardless of whether he thought that his PetSmart was responsible. The only thing he wanted to confirm is "when did it happen?" That speaks volumes about this PetSmart location. Never again at this location and pet parents beware.Fortunately, the staffer at PetSmart Corporate acknowledged the incident, offered apologies, and provided additional guidance concerning this incident. Special thanks to Banfield Pet Hospital and the medical staff that provided awesome care. They confirmed the cause of the injury and confirmed that the injury didn't happen overnight. Special thanks to Fawn, the PetSmart Pets Hotel Team Lead, Monroeville, PA location for her empathy and generosity concerning the hospital bills. No PetSmart location is created equal.By the way, if you do board your pet at the Reston, VA PetSmart location, ask staff how often do they clean the facilities and whether any dogs there have giardia, which is highly contagious. Just a tip...

Nicely organized so you can find things easily and conveniently. Nice staff but there usually is a line to pay. The wait isn't terrible. They offer grooming, adoption (cats), have a nice reptile, fish and rodent selection. The store is spacious and in my visits, people that bring pets have them under control, which is a plus because I like to bring my dog. There's also a pet hospital. I don't know what services are offered. Apart from that, they have pet boarding, so you have basically most of what you need in one place. Food and treats have ample variety, so it's worth the browse.

The place is always clean and has good variety of dogs’ food. However the prices on treats and food are 90% mislabeled and shows different price at the register. I have been coming for over 5 years to this store, and I always have to proof the cashier that pricing is different or show them the location where I took the item. As long time consumer feels that I’m asking for “trust.” Then cashiers show “attitude” as if they are doing me “a favor” for fixing the price. I think this is huge issue, when prices are not aligned. Again this same issue happened to me so many times in 5 years I am forced to write a negative review. Hoping that managers take action. Thanks.

I guess it was a bad day for both me and the manager staffs at Pet Smarts the other day when I arrived to return my carpet cleaning machine without the white receipt which i never got it from start. After wait in line for a long time All i had was the big pink receipt which they said that they were unable to return my deposit with out the white one even though i have the machine with me and felt that they can trace back several hours ago which is when i have came in to rented it. I had to waited for the manager to finish the line until she got to me only to tell me that I can’t get my deposit back. After my frustration she went back and got a gentleman manager to help me but his frustration raised up to the point that he had to tell me to shut my mouth already. I felt that the reason i was talking was when he was talking to me but when he didn’t feel like hearing what i was saying then he will then told me to shut. Unfair. Got my cash deposit at the end but left feeling that the situation was uncalled for since i know that they could have returned my money without all that unnecessary frustration.

Anna and the woman working with her in the grooming center took their time and did a great job with our dog knox. We made a point to have them write their names on the sheet with the barcode we took to the register and also expressed our happiness with them.

Purchase a Robo hamster last spring 2021. She just passed away Jan. 3rd due to heavy labored breathing, low stamina and very weak. Vet said likely death is because it got sick from another hamster. Please look into the quality and care from whoever they are purchased from.

Wow..who knew pets were so smart.. I have never seen a selection so large of food and just everything u can imagine.. besides standard dog/cat they have reptiles and fish and even a full groommer.. super impressed with the store..even better is the staff..super nice and knowledgeable.. will come back!
