Really good ice cream, their dark chocolate is very think and delicious! Also love their cookie and cream flavor!We passed by this place while driving a car and see a lot of people outside . we were very curious what it’s selling so look it up on Google maps and see it’s ice cream store immediately we decide to make a U-turn and get in the line for the -drive-through. Although the line is pretty long but it takes us around 25 minutes waiting in the car I would say it’s not too long based on how many people that’s waiting outside and it’s 30 minutes before the store closed. The staff were pretty nice and recommend us to try blackberry, which is one of their most popular favor next time.

Super spacious and fun to visit! The portions are pretty good and service was quick. They did mess up with our order at first but had us parked to make it right. I was a bit concerned of the waiting period (mainly because I have a sleeping baby that wakes up once the vehicle stops driving) but it honestly didn't take them long to fix it.

We love the Moo Thru! We have hired them for the past several years to cater at our annual Fall Fest event, held the first Saturday in October each year. They never disappoint. What's not to love about friendly people service homemade ice cream made locally in Virginia at a dairy farm? We love supporting local businesses and Moo Thru is truly one of the biggest highlights of our event each year. Our customers can't wait to grab their cup or cone of homemade ice cream. We would give them more than 5 stars if we could! They're just that good!

Love the ice cream here! It’s a little pricy but worth the money.Tonight I visited and ordered a large chocolate waffle cone. Unfortunately the machine ran out of chocolate ice cream when my cone was not quite filled to large size yet.I was impressed that the server did not try to hand it off to me to see if I would take it, as I have seen some ice cream vendors do. Rather she explained what happened and offered to top it off with another flavor. So I still got my money’s worth of ice cream. Quite professionally handled!

I've heard a lot about Moo Thru and so there was plenty of hype to live up to.We finally got to check it out early afternoon on the weekend. It was a hot day and while there was a line (we parked and stood in line) it wasn't a very long wait. I went with a small sweet cream ice cream and topped it with hot fudge. For some reason it seemed more expensive than I had thought and I think they may have charged it as a sundae and not just a small cup with topping.There was a good amount of seating and we hung around. The ice cream was good. Quite smooth. I wasn't totally sure if I got chocolate sauce or hot fudge since it seemed a bit runny.Overall it's a neat place and I'm up for trying more of their unique flavors.

Long lines for those who stand in line for in person orders. Long but moving line for those on the drive thru. Excellent ice cream. Fairly nice exterior seating arrangements for those who want to sit and talk. However, in the middle of nowhere so not so much to look at other than the intersection of US 15, 29 and route 657 and US 28.

Can’t go wrong with the Moo Thru. They have a drive thru or you can walk up and order. Plenty of (covered) seating outside. Parking is plentiful but the place is oftentimes packed. Milkshakes, Banana Splits, Sundaes, Hot Dogs, Key Lime Pie, Soda, Floats, and Hand Scooped or Soft Serve ice cream available.

Great ice cream, you can’t go wrong with any flavour. The ice cream is creamy but not “dense”, hence making it refreshing. However, it’s slightly too sweet for my tastes. They say my pleasure here and ask you how you’re doing when serving you, how nice! Chick Fil A should partner with them.

This might be the best ice cream in Virginia. So creamy and lots of flavor. Think vanilla has no flavor? Not here, it's nice and sweet. You can tell they make it themselves, it's nice and fresh. Prices are reasonable too, and how can you not stop at a place names Moo Thru?

Amazing place with great ice cream/milkshake options. We went after our hike from Shenandoah and dinner. I had orange over blue current flavor. It was amazing. Never had orange flavor and it was great.

Moo Thru ice cream is my favorite! I usually get the twist soft serve cone with chocolate sprinkles—so good—but the sundaes and shakes are so good too. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything you get here though. I’ve had their grilled cheese sandwich before and it was pretty tasty. The location off Route 29 is very convenient; however, it’s a popular place so the lines can be long. Plenty of covered outdoor seating outside. You won’t regret stopping for ice cream at Moo Thru!

Probably the finest tasting ice cream in Northern Virginia. Not sure how much owes itself to the natural ingredients vs how much to the nice set up they have along the highway, rustic and rural with a love for the Moo moo. The taste is undeniably good and the varieties nice. The only reason I dinged a star is it is not certified organic and there were no options to add nuts other than walnuts and peanuts! Don't miss your chance to get the taste of rural Virginia at its best.

The atmosphere is beautiful in the evening, Great for pictures. Their ice cream is delicious they have a lot of great flavors and toppings to go with it. It does get busy but that’s because it’s a very popular ice cream spot in this area. it’s well worth the wait! The service was great, they were super polite into taking my order. I do wish they had one dairy free option, I know it’s an ice cream place it would be really great if they made it happen.

Wow! A whole new meaning to ice cream?A friend of ours heard about this place and we decided to drive down on a Friday evening around 4:30 from Centreville Virginia. Six of us packed into one mini van. Took us almost an hour to get there. Primarily because we hit a lot of traffic. But that one hour gave us a lot of time to discuss and despair on whether the trip would prove to be worth it at all or whether it would be a let down. At this point we were all leaning towards how totally pointless it could have been to drive this far in so much traffic.When we finally reached it we missed it and we had to make a u-turn on 29 to get back to it. And then more despair as we saw a long line of cars snaking around the parking lot to get to the drive-thru. Due to the Covid19 situation only the drive-thru was open. Interestingly none of the cars that were in line had any kids in them! How bizarre to see an ice cream place with only adults as customers.Waiting in the drive-through line gave us time to figure out what each of us wanted. It did take us a solid 5 minutes for all of us to place our orders. Two of us picked the banana split, two picked milkshakes, and two of us picked the adult double scoop in a cup. This set us back $40. We were able to taste quite a few of the flavors because each of us had ordered something different.The flavors and the taste far exceeded our expectations. I repeat that for emphasis - the flavors and the taste far exceeded our expectations. Of special note are the raspberry, peach, blackberry, orange, and vanilla, yes, I said vanilla flavours.We can't wait to go back there again. They do sell milk which we would like to order the next time we go. They do ask that if you require quarts and pints you order at least an hour ahead. But we want to find the time when there is less traffic. All in all totally worth the drive and something we expect to be doing frequently henceforth. Give this place a try - you will not regret it.

Great local ice cream. It's good flavor and homemade. Super friendly people. 3 single cups cost $14.75 and the wait took over 25 minutes. Not critical just sharing the facts.I support local businesses but at some point the cost and wait may not add up to a return visit.

Big menu board of ice cream flavors. Excellent quality. We kept it simple w a double scoop cup w two different flavors and a root beer float w vanilla and dark chocolate scoops. There is a drive thru, window service, and outside dining under a nearby shelter. This was our first visit and thought the ice cream was very good and a great value.

My first MooThru! It was awesome. Nice treat for a 90 degree day! Staff were very friendly and service was fast. We went through the drive thru and we're out in no time. I ordered a double scoop waffle cone with cake batter and cinnamon ice cream. My husband had a dish of chocolate and cinnamon ice cream. Delicious! Will return the next time we are in the area.

I was really looking forward to this place. Have driven past it a million times and we finally decided to try it.We ordered milkshakes. My shake was so thin that it may as well have been chocolate milk. And it seemed like they over did the cream or milk because the chocolate flavor seemed to be a little weak. Definitely not worth $20 for 2 shakes.The young man who took our order was very polite. Though there seemed to be a bit of goofing around behind the counter. Though that is bound to happen from time to time with a younger staff. But, maybe, don't do it in front of waiting customers.May try again at a later date in the hopes that this was just an off night for them. Will update my review at such time.
