I have a senior dog with severe skin allergies and a big boy that doesn't like to have his nails done (by me). The staff here is very accommodating with Gabby's need for her medicated shampoo and patient with Beans aversion to pedicures. Gabby always comes home looking beatiful and smelling great. Bean gets a nail trim and a bath - looking handsome. We're so glad we found this place. I can't say enough great things about the Doggie Wash!

Highly recommend! They happily accepted my 90lbs Newfoundland Pyrenees mix and did an absolutely amazing job, the best he has ever looked and the softest he has ever been! It's a bit of a drive for me so I just waited in the lobby and saw many dogs get picked up while I was waiting, every single one of them left with tails wagging looking gorgeous! Seems like everyone there really knows what they are doing and has genuine care for the animals ❤️

After a bad (but valiant!) attempt by my teen to give our long hair pup a trim the Doggie Wash was able to "reshape" what was done to give her a more presentable appearance. We've gone back 4 times since for routine trims and she comes out great every time. Great communication and fair pricing I highly recommend them. It may be tough to get on the schedule but once your "in" it's easy from there.

I love taking Daisy to the Doggie Wash! They are always so friendly and take such good care of my dog. I go there regularly for nail trims and full grooming and they do an amazing job. She looks and smells great every time! Thank you for everything!

I cannot say enough good things about The Doggie Wash in Purcellville! Today was our first experience with them. They were able to set us up with a same day appointment for a nail trim, we did not wait at all when we got there, they did a quick and thorough job, and they treated our puppy with love and affection. Our girl is crazy about them! We will absolutely be back!

Doggie wash does an amazing job with my dog Koda. He is a Great Pyrenees mix with a long, thick coat that gets matted easily & he always looks amazing afterward! He isn’t a fan of being groomed so he’s not an easy client, but they are always patient with him and answered my million questions the first time we took him to make sure he would be comfortable. Highly recommend them!

We took our newly rescued 8 year old shep/Pitt mix. They were so kind to me as I have never had a dog groomed and didn’t know the timing or anything. They also treated my dog so well. Talked to him, pet him, and gave him treats. My dog came out smelling fabulous and his teeth were so clean! We are looking forward to being regular customers.

I brought my two-year old rottie mixes to get their nails trimmed and teeth brushed. We were greeted by a very enthusiastic staff member who my dogs instantly loved (one of them is usually timid around men, but she loved the gent right away!)My rotties are both 85+ pounds and a lot for one person to handle but the staff at The Doggie Wash made my experience super easy, fast, and stress-free! I can tell they really love and genuinely care about their furry clients. Will definitely be going back!

They did a fantastic job! We dropped our 70 pound lab mix mutt at 8 am, and they finished with him by 11:30. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly, and seemed like true dog lovers. When we picked him up, he wasn’t in a cage, he was happy, and he looked and smelled amazing! Highly recommend the Doggie Wash!!

I only wish that staff would tell customers why they charge what their charging when they take my dog. It’s inconsistent but I found out today it varies but they don’t tell you unless you ask why it was more or less than previous. Obviously you know what the dog looks like when they get there and owners know too. Asking a question like that shouldn’t result in a staff member r recommending shopping around others businesses if the customer was not complaining. I was clearly asking what their price range was. I was rudely told that they charge me less than what they’re supposed to. One it’s more confusing now and two that’s not something you tell happy customers when they ask you why you’re price fluctuates. See below. I still like this place but now am going to be more prepared and get pricing when I drop my dog off. And I might even pay and tip right then and there.I like the owner Ray he’s good with customers and pets and I think he’s employees are great with pets as well but just have not met anyone other than Ray. My dog got his 2nd grooming here and both times came out looking and smelling great! Recommend this to anyone with dogs in the area. They have some good doggie snacks there too.

Been going here since the store opened in 2003 New owners Keriann & Ray for about 1 yr nowThey are young and really care about your dogs which is more important than the groom although very good at that too. My Yorkies have panic attacks when not with me!Keriann and her staff treat them good that’s why there calm and happy when I pick them up.Everyone in Purcellville should patronize them to make sure they keep up the great workLOVE THEM

Great service and excellent customer service. If you love your dog take them here. My precious angel looks like a celebrity and most importantly Keriann and Ray make him feel like a celebrity. He has since become a little entitled and demanding but that’s okay. He’s too adorable to hear the word no.I saw a bad review here and I take offense to it as everyone who works here are the nicest people are the planet and sometimes I think about stopping by when I’m having a bad day. I get complimented even when I don’t deserve it. Five stars and Mr. Bubbie agrees.

Our two Goldens have been the beneficiaries of Irina's excellent grooming, empathy and knowledge. If your dog does fine with a cheap cut, by all means find someplace else. But if you want your dog to have a professional grooming job that reflects the proper cut for the breed, using high quality products, in a safe and well-managed environment, this is your place.

I have been a customer of Doggie Wash at Purcellville Pets for about a decade now. Obviously, I am highly satisfied with their service. Irena, the owner and chief groomer, is wonderful with my shy cocapoo. My little Hannah gets her tail wagging as soon as she sees Irena, and especially enjoys the free treats Irena typically offers her at the end of each grooming visit. I am always happy with Hannah's haircuts, as she comes home looking very trim, proper, and adorable. Making an appointment is so easy (an online appointment service is available) and Irena is very flexible to make time when it works best for my schedule. Irena and her staff can be counted on to make a phone call to let you know when your pet is ready to go home. I have also purchased my dog food from Purcellville Pets for years now. Their Regal brand of dry food has kept Hannah healthy and fit for most of her thirteen years. Overall, I love doing business with and knowing Irena and Lee, her husband.

So much better than Petsmart. The owners are super friendly and take the time to actually care for your dog. Our dog is very skittish when in a new environment, but there were no issues. We'll be returning!

Keriann the owner lacks tact. She came off as rude to me with her customer service. Maybe this is a case where she simply doesn't realize it but it's true. With that said, the work they do with dogs is pretty good. Fortunately, I don't suffer from a type of Stockholm syndrome so I won't be back but my hope is that the customer service improves soon.

As of April 2019 under new ownership. This young couple lovingly and respectfully cared for my rambunctious 3-year-old shepherd as well as my sedate 14-year-old shepherd. They come out and greet the owners and play with the dogs and talk to the dogs, and then take them back. NOTE: my 3-year-old has NEVER been successfully groomed and THEY DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIVE STARS.

I had taken my dog here before for a nail trim, and both the dog and person did well. So I thought I would try a wash. There is a whole hassle with getting an appt, and when I tried to make one and get a price once they called back I was hung up on. I had no price so I had no appt. But then they called me and asked where the dog was on the appt day. I explained my experience and all kinds of excuses were given. It's one of those places that tries to blame the customer for their own poor service, and clearly thinks very highly of themselves with the clientele they have.. Definitely not impressed at all and will not go here again.

Just took my giant pup, a St. Bernard, to them for the first time and they were so sweet. They were waiting for us when we came in, took time to get to know him before taking him back. They were accommodating to his size and needs and spent quite a while doing exactly what we asked. Looking forward to coming back!

I have a "special needs" PWD. She has some social issues & skin sensitivities. I am so thankful Irina is there to groom her. She has helped my Sally tremendously over 8 years. Sally not only gets a great haircut, she is well-loved at the Doggie Wash. With regard to the negative review from 5 years ago, my guess is the dog did have matts and Irina had to take extra time to work with it. Irina has found illnesses, lameness or hot-spots/tick bites on Sally before I noticed them. I am thankful to have someone so attentive & caring to groom my dog. I don't know what I would do without the doggie wash. Worth every dollar spent.
