Caring staff from receptionist to the vet assistant to the veterinarian. Everyone was kind, efficient, and professional. While our dog has been quite sick, it has been easy to communicate with the office and they have been doing every possible to get our dog well again. We started going to Dr. Stang about twenty or more years ago. This is our third dog going to his office. We have great respect for the work that is being done there.

I've been taking my pets to Loudoun Veterinary Service for over 25 years. The doctors and staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the facility is always clean and well-kept. I wouldn't think of taking my precious corgi anywhere else.

Dr Stang is incredibly patient and informative. He took the time to fully explain the procedure and answer all of my questions. My little Shiba was immediately comfortable with him. I never felt rushed. The staff was incredibly nice. Overall a great experience.

Love Dr Stang the very best I have dealt with in this business. He takes his time. Provides insight details about your pets condition. In fact I was very sad when I heard he sold his business to a big veterinary. My biggest concern prices are going up so much... makes it hard to keep multiple pets.

Loudoun Vet has been my care of choice for my animals for over 20 years. Dr. Stange goes beyond the normal doctor relationship with his patents and their owners. He is caring, knowledgeable, patient and puts the betterment of the patient first. I never feel rushed or that I should be anyplace else. He is a true credit to his profession!

Maggie doesn't like getting her nails clippedband we have to sedate her. She still resists, but did much because, I was with her. The staff was amazing and did an excellent job trimming her nails.

I have been using this practice for at least 20:years primarily for repro care.Dr Stang is very skilled ,experienced , and perhaps most importantly ,a caring and generous man. He is aa kind teacher by nature. I am very sad that his practice is tun so differently; and much more expensive . With this said, I would not dream of moving .please convey my profuse thanks for his continuing devotion to peoples pets and their owners.

Loudoun Veterinary Service (LVS) saw my dog as a "drop in" on the day I called when his current vet couldn't do a "drop in" until the following Tue (5 day wait!). I'm so glad LVS could see him right away because he has a double ear infection. I dropped him off at 9:30 am and LVS called at 11:00 am to come pick him up. I wasn't expecting to pick him up until much later in the day. I was given medications and great instructions on what to do on my end and made an follow-up appt in 2 weeks to see how he's doing (previous vet has never done a follow-up appt). I was and still am so thankful for their help and how helpful and friendly everyone was, I had all of his records transferred to LVS! I can't thank the staff enough for taking him in the same day I called and the amazing concern and care they showed. LVS rocks!!!!!!! Thanks to everyone, you are amazing!!!!!!!!

I didn't have to seek a second opinion, they wanted to confirm with a more experienced vet themselves that surgery is needed. The staff is excellent from the phone call for the appointment, to the intake, to the vet techs, to the vet calling and emailing to follow up. The only vet clinic we will go to

Vet, techs, staff are friendly and caring, willing to partner in the care of our 2 dogs. I really appreciate their approach of informing me of issues, testing, and discussing treatment options. The office and exam rooms are clean, and overall I'm pleased with the care we've been getting there for the past several years.

Let me begin by noting that this review pertains only to one particular aspect of our experience when we had to euthanize our dog on November 17. Our dogs have been patients of Dr. Stang/Loudoun Vet Service for 10+ years and he is amazing.The vet (not Dr. Stang) that helped us on November 17 was wonderful, the vet tech was wonderful and the front desk staff was wonderful. The issue pertains to what I’m assuming are new policies as a result of the fact that the practice is now corporate owned.We arrived, were ushered into a room and asked to sign a PTS (put to sleep) authorization. I get that — legal stuff, ok. But then we were told that they would make it so easy for us by putting all the charges in the system and having us pay for it right there in the room with our credit card. COLD, CORPORATE, UNFEELING!!! I’m there to say goodbye to my dog and you’re having me pull out my credit card there in the treatment room! I have spent $1000s of dollars at Loudoun Vet and NEVER been late on a bill, always paying at time of service, including three operations over 10 years.There are SO many other ways to handle this. When I called to make the appointment, I mentioned we wanted our dog cremated and the front desk staff told me they’d have a catalog for me to look at to pick an urn. I explained that I didn’t want to do that in the moment I was saying goodbye to our dog, wanted something very simple, and front desk staff could just pick something out for me (they did a great job with this). Protocol could be changed to ask pet owners, at the time of booking the euthanasia appointment, if they would like to put a credit card on file to take care of expenses. Or take care of expenses before arriving. Or even, for a long-standing patient with basically a 850 credit rating with their practice, send me a bill God forbid! SO many other, more compassionate and humane ways to deal with the fact of payment. But corporate doesn’t seem to think through those things very well — it’s all about the bottom line. And so unfortunate because those protocols undermine the really great job the hardworking professional and administrative staff does. I hope this review provokes the corporate managers at Loudoun Vet Service to rethink their protocols/policies so that they can provide more compassionate service as well as provide top notch veterinary services.

I've used Loudoun Veterinary Service and specifically, Dr. Stang for almost 40 years for a multitude of dogs and cats. Dr. Stang is an excellent surgeon and diagnostician. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

My poor pup had been suffering with her seasonal allergies and our regular vet was unable to get her in for a visit in a timely fashion, get her normal treatment or consider alternatives. LVS got her in right away, treated her well, and got her treated quickly - now she's feeling so much better! Everyone I interacted with was great!

***PLEASE VACCINATE*** Just blown away at the care my puppy recieved. Six week old puppy had parvo. Cant tell you the emotions felt hearing that my 5 year olds puppy was that sick. From the direct care recieve to the caution taken to prevent the spread to others. Don't wish this experience on anyone. Don't know I could have gotten through this experience were it not for the genuine caring that went into our puppies full recovery.5 stars just doesn't do them justice.Thanks so much

When we had an old (15) and sick Lhasa, we switched his vet to LVS as we had never felt right about the former vet closer to our house. That was the best decision despite our 30+ miles drive from home to get them. Our Rocky got a wonderful care till his last moment of his life and we were very grateful for the care he or we’ve got.So, now with our new family, Kuma, an American Eskimo, we knew where to come. He is going to get the right treatments here @ LVS. We thank everyone to be there for those who can’t speak for themselves and who love them.

Dr Stang and his staff are top notch. The staff always has something nice to say and are very person prior to and after your appointment. There is nothing you can say about Dr Stang other than he is a great Dr. Always has the answer and if not he will make sure he finds it. The Dr communication during your appointment is outstanding, he is never pushy with his treatment and has always, listened to me and took my thoughts into consideration. They is no doubt way he has had a successful practice for 40 years. There are other good vets in the area, however there is no one I trust more with my dogs and puppies. Dr Stang it has been a pressure working with you, and I look forward to many more years of collaboration on my dogs and breedings. Thank you for everything.M. Matthew
