A great location of this store very well stocked very clean staff is very helpful and friendly they have a great selection in their fresh meats and seafood if that's your thing their Bakery is very nice the staff are very helpful when you asked and you're looking for certain things you're able to find them and if you're not able to find them there but hope you locate them they have a very friendly attitude the staff do they do all that they can to help you find what you're looking for they have great Crips and pick up they have a good Pharmacy this is a good store overall at this location if I could give more than five stars I would Harris Teeter was just recently ranked as the best supermarket chain in the United States which I think is very good you will be very pleased with your time at the store and the way the staff treats you and the way to get you in and out they have the cashiers always ready and they do have self checkouts as well or you can do online purchase and arrange to have things picked up ahead of time and brought to your car when you come in and let them know you're there

I am just so grateful that this store isn’t the only one in town, since I am not planning of shopping here again, after shopping here for three years. I was treated awful. I was trying to rent a rug cleaner, not only I had to fill out the paper work myself, the clerk (Charlie) told me to go to the regular line to check out my groceries because there was a line of people behind, despite that fact I was there first and should be taken care of just like anyone else. So I quietly went to the regular line, only to be yelled at by the manager that I should’ve gotten my groceries checked out at the customer service desk, where I was “kicked off” in the first place. Thus, I don’t think I would ever go back there to buy not even a bag of ice.

Self checkout cameras spazz out over nothing, employees are loud and annoying in an effort to deliver quality customer service, they’re constantly understaffed, and some managers are very rude and inconsiderate. I watched the boy working self checkout have to run all over the place tending to everyone because the damn machines cause problems and create big lines!

Having not shopped at a Harris Teeter before, I was immensely impressed with the variety in options and high-quality brands. The store is set up nicely with a large circle of products offered. Prices can be fairly high, but the quality of items warrant the cost. Despite Purcellville's small size, the store is open 24 hours, in addition to the many services the store provides such as customer pick-up.

This is a well organized and clean store, and their pharmacy is wonderful. However, the way they mark sale items strikes me as predatory - see photo. Would you think this item is $1.29 each or per pound? Long checkout lines regardless of what time of day you go.Sept 2023: Adding a star back - the line moves faster now that they opened more self-check out lanes

Love going here to get sushi, they always have a different variety, their hot made pizza is also great. They also have a Starbucks inside and they are always friendly and willing to fix your order if it's a mix up. Sorry no pictures of the pizza but I don't think you'll be disappointed

Deli takes a LONG time even if there is no one in line. Employees rarely ever look happy. (besides a couple) I do like the store, and everything is typically pretty clean. (besides bathrooms)

Be a very careful shopper here!My perch fillet was filled with bones. Out of stock bakery items even with "sale" signs at noon. Tillamook ice cream outrageously expensive. Buy that at Giant along with bananas and other things that are 15-20% cheaper there.

The lights went out today while shopping and the staff handled it perfectly. Generator kicked in after a few seconds and the cash registers were working after a few minutes. Good Job!

I visit this location often. However, I usually do self check out. However, needed additional help this morning. Gavin was wonderful. Very friendly and was a pleasure to speak with. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to interact with him.

I shop here at least once a week. Obviously so do a lot of people because it can be really packed, so be prepared to wait in line for checkout now and then, but it's generally a great value. Excellent meat counter and fresh veggies.

Nice store but unfortunately even if you buy $200 worth of groceries they have no cashier to ring you up everyone is forced to use self serve line. They are convenient but what happen to choice in America? Thanks Teeter for forcing me to competition

Say they urgently hiring but expect you to drop every commitment and give your life to them. Extremely rude manager. I've never experienced such rudeness in a short 5 minute phone call. The interviewer basically implied I should have no life outside of work, even though I gave an open schedule with the exception of one day. highly unprofessional and I would have expected more from a so called "manager". They are open 24/7 and advertise a flexible schedule, but in no way are they flexible. save yourself the time and look for employment elsewhere. I'm glad it didn't work out because it would be a living hell working under this locations managers.

I have been online shopping here for 6 years and never had an issue until the system update. Unfortunately the new online shopping experience is terrible. The prices shown on the app are not true to what price is in store. My last pick up order was $40 more then the receipt I was emailed at the time I placed my order. They basically said it is a known issue and I could go through my order, compare it to my receipt and return what was different otherwise it is what it is. They would not provide a credit for the difference when asked directly. Some items were double what was advertised online. Variations of that scale make it impossible to shop efficiently for a family. They did state the worst difference is when you shop Tuesday night for a Wednesday pickup, FYI.

Love this grocery store. They have these sprinkle doughnuts that are the best I've ever had. The sprinkles are crispy and not waxy. Seriously, so cute and so good.

Called to check if pizza department was open, was told it was, drove there and found out it was infact not open.If you want pizza safe yourself time and go to 900 degree pizza.If you want groceries save yourself money and shop anywhere else.

I applied for a job here at the Purcellville location and the manager, Lowell Murdock, was very dismissive and rude, and blamed many technical problems on me. He got mad at me for not picking up the phone while I was in class, and told me to be more responsive while I’ve been actively returning his calls and communicating the issues I’m having. I now see why the Purcellville Harris Teeter is under-staffed and I don’t blame the people there who hate their job and quit. If anyone is planning on applying/working at this location, don’t.

the manager at the purcellville location, lowell murdock, is so unbelievably rude. i talked to him on the phone and i’m not surprised they’re under-staffed. dealing with that man every day sounds like a personal hell. id genuinely rather kill myself that work with him. now i understand why all the employees look miserable all the time.

I actually worked for this company and I worked at this store specifically. I'll be honest, the company is over priced, but it is a nice store. It is clean but seemed to be understocked. They probably should have had the vendors in there later and had some stockers filling items (or the co manager not hanging out with the cashiers at the office). The staffing is and has always been lacking in customer service. The kid at the self check out couldn't have cared less that the store was even open. I stopped in here to buy a few things quick, and left wishing i had just waited till I got closer to a Weis

Another local guide claimed 2 weeks ago that they are well stocked. I would strongly disagree. They have been consistently out of way too many items for Months now and it's not getting better. The staff is nice and the store is clean, but they frequently run out of items and it takes a while to get restocked, then the cycle begins again.

It’s fine, it’s a grocery store, and though I’m sure it’s not unique to Harris Teeter, food prices are getting pretty outrageous. I feel like our neighborhood Martin’s is a bit cheaper. But as far as selection goes, Harris Teeter is pretty good.

I recently moved to this area from Texas. I was a big fan of Kroger. H T is owed by the same company so many of my favorite brands, like Simple Truth (organic) was available. This store had a good fresh veg selection. Seafood department looked good. Clerks were helpful and friendly. Prices were reasonable. My Kroger discount card worked there as well.
