Had a retirement party at Volvo for my husband 40 1/2 years officially in June but tonight was his last working day. Thanks to the designer at Food City for making a very creative design for the cake.

Only two grocery stores in Pulaski one is as about as good as the other Food Lion is better about offering help getting groceries to the car .I'm usually in Food City at night and I have noticed it's all most a rule so know that you are going to ring and bag your own groceries.

Food City's weekly sales are the area's best! My personal favorite is, about once a month they offer meats & some frozen foods at 5/$14.99, all other times is 5/$19.99, which still is a good save! Same with once monthly produce 5/$5, when not on sale 5/$7.99. Able to save $100/week & upwards for family shopping biweekly for 3 adults. Looking forward to new store opening, possibly in June!

I had the pleasure of meeting Trish in the café, and Austin & Wyatt at checkout. Great attitide and energy. Trish has had the Impossible Burger & would love to offer it in the cafe. Hoping to see Food City make some adjustments by adding plant-based to the menu😊

Some of the nicest folks that I've ever dealt with as far as a grocer. $3 breakfast too (biscuit, gravy,sausage and a drink). It don't get better than that

I love this store! They are a bit more expensive than Food Lion , but this is definite case of Quality vs. Quantity!Their produce is much better than their competitor’s, in my opinion. They also have a butcher’s counter with fresh meats, poultry and seafood available.The butchers make their own fresh shish kebabs, steak or chicken, and will marinate them with any number of their seasonings and marinades which are delicious! Normally they only make them in the summer barbecue season, but if you call them, they’ll be happy to make them anytime. Now that’s 5 star service all the way in my book!The Galax store even has Starbucks. I’m told they’re building a new store in Pulaski that will have Starbucks as well.I definitely go out of my way to go to Food City. And yes, at times, I dig a little deeper in my pockets to purchase their better quality products that you just can’t find at Food Lion.Kathy

Poor customer service, stock during busy hours..making it impossible & dangerous to climb thru, sales don't ring up correctly half the time, & act angry people are shopping there. Needed help & guy was rude & directed me to other staff that had no clue either. Guess it is understaffed.Food Lion goes out of there way to assist & very respectful to customers.

I shop at this Food City every week. Overall it's a satisfactory experience shopping here. They don't have blocks of Colby cheese. They did do fairly well during the shortages during Covid and shipping backups. *3/14/2034* This Food City has problems keeping the stuff people actually buy in stock. IMO, it seems like they try to force people to buy the more expensive items or items/brands they have more of because no one wants them. I would think they would try keep their own brands (TopCare, Food Club, etc.) in stock as opposed to other brands.

A rather mundane shopping experience. The staff are friendly, but the store feels soulless. The gas visits from regular membership usage are worth their value. There are odd and persistent cellular connection issues within the store, making shopping difficult.

Had a wonderful time shopping this afternoon. The store is always bright and clean. Makes me feel welcome coming in the doors. Been there frequently so I know where I need to go. They do not move stock around constantly so you can find what you are looking for. Just upgrade their merchandise and keep up with the latest products. Always have a great time and the store personal are always helpful even if they are busy. Will always return there to shop. Thanks so much!

Easy in and out, excellent selection of products, staff friendly and the store is clean. The store is easy to navigate, isles large enough for two shopping carts to pass without difficulty and a gas station in the front parking lot. If you loathe having to go to WalMart for anything especially food items then you will love Food City. No parking lot madness, no waiting in line for one of the two open registers while the other 15 sit idle and no self checkout and bagging of your own groceries while the computer tells you to re-ring last item or remove last item from bag, it's a grocery store that is simple and friendly like you might remember from years ago... Enjoy..!Update:No overflow crowds, stick returning to something of normal again,No restrictions and easy for n and out...Passes the update test...Enjoy..!!

Love Food City it's always pleasant there. The employees are extremely nice and very helpful. They also have a sheet as soon as you walk in the store to show you what aisle the things are. Very helpful!!

This store needs some cleaning, especially the deli. The sandwich cooler was filthy, food crumbs everywhere and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Sandwiches were just thrown in on top. Was looking for something for my lunch but not after seeing that mess...NO THANKS.

Food City was well stocked this morning the day before a snow storm. All employees were friendly and working hard. Plus the store was clean.The two I had direct contact with were Wendy and Destiny. They had good old fashioned kindness that makes you smile. Wendy was an exceptional, friendly cashier. Destiny came to my car and got my cart for me and was very friendly. I was dreading my trip out but they made it a pleasant one. Thank you Food City and Jennifer Price!
