We found the perfect pup for our family here! Melissa was a wonderful help, and you can tell she loves the animals there. For $20 we adopted Chloe who was already fixed, microchipped, and had all her shots. They also gave us a bed, a new harness, new leash and collar, new toys, and several doses of her flea and tick medicine. Talk about a great deal!

Was looking for dog under 20 lbs. Melissa didn't have one, but she did send me to a lady that needed to rehome 2 yr old chihuahua mix. That dog is my best friend now and I am his best friend. Thank you Melissa!

We just adopted a young American Staffordshire Terrier from New Kent today. Although they presently have a limited variety of breeds (mostly hound breeds), the dogs they have are well cared for. Melissa, the animal control officer is very caring and helpful.

I got my Brother a Black and White Beagle that I was told that had been abused bad. But I Did Not know that at first. I just happened to look and He was in the last kennel at the end. I saw Those Eyes and He was looking at me as He was Begging Me to take Him Home! And I knew exactly where He would be WELL Taken care of. And it Was Perfect Timing! It was Christmas! I gave “COAL” to my brother for Christmas.That was 2012. And Happy to say He “COAL” is still Loving Life! Praying All find a Loving Home Like the one “COAL” Has! God Bless Every One and All Fur Babies.
