Smaller store but generous selection of groceries. Deli little slow but good deli meats and cheeses. Nice baked goods. Clean store. Easy check out. Plenty of registers open. Easy parking. Yes it has changed. I see cashiers come & go alot. Some are college people, some aren't, but you do have the steady people too. I enjoy going to food lion for many reasons, the food, vegetables, frozen or canned etc. I had a wonderful experience today the people in the store were all cheerful & friendly. The staff was friendly, helpful, & patient with me today. I was all over the place trying to watch out for a 91 year old man. Something. But the experience today was wonderful. I'm a repeat customer & will continue to shop at food lion.

Wow! This place is awesome! My husband had been here a couple years back and suggested we take a ride for lunch.The menu had changed from what he remembered but it was great. He had the 12 hour brisket and I had the Senior Corps Combo (12 hour brisket, smoke house sausage and ribs) sides were also really good, collards and bacon, cheddar cheese grits cake. Nice selection of craft and standard beers. No dessert for us.Service was excellent and entire meal worth the money!We see another visit in the future!

It's a smaller store. Therefore, sale and value items sell out very fast and selection is limited at times. Customer service depends on employee. Online ordering was a complete nightmare though. $100 of my order was refunded because they didn't have the items, and I called 10 times to check in with no answer. Husband went go customer service desk and no one was there or came over. Girl walked by in parking lot and asked if I was there to pick up. I told her yes, and that I called 10 times with no answer. She then pulls a device out of her pocket and said it never rang. A bit annoying considering we had our 4 kids with us, it was over 90 degrees, and we had no ac. It took half and hour just to pick up and we only got a little over half the order. Definitely go inside to shop vs online. In store is generally a good experience overall. Fellow shoppers there are always sweet and kind 😊

Second time in the Providence Forge, Va. Good Lion. The store is remarkably clean. Shelves were stocked and clean of any dirt or dust. Got to the register to checkout and the clerk turned off her light. I started backing out to go to another register. She immediately told me to come back she would take care of me. She was very fast, efficient, and pleasant. I will most definitely be returning to this location in the future. So nice to shop where everyone is smiling and greeting customers as they shop. Good job!!!!!!!

This is a friendly neighborhood store with a surprising variety of items considering the store is not huge. I especially like the specials that certain departments have and if you get there around 9:00 a.m. you can get some good buys in the meat department. The cashiers have always been friendly. There's plenty of parking.

Poor selection, but just happy there is a grocery store. Would prefer a poor selection over no selection. When I went to checkout there were 8 people waiting to checkout in the one open lane. The store quickly realized and opened more lanes. The line went away quickly. Good customer service at checkout, mediocre in the rest of the store.

Smaller Food Lion than the Quinton stores, and most others. Staff is very friendly. Reduced selection compared to other stores. Doubtful this store will ever get upgraded due to the small town location. It's definitely not the nicest Food Lion around, but I'm grateful it's here and stayed open during the pandemic. I would say the store is definitely kept clean, the checkout lines are pretty easy to get through depending on the time of day. No self-service checkouts in the store.

Depending on who you ask and that person's attitude/mood depends on whether they want to help you or not! There is one young cashier that is very rude and doesn't feel like being helpful and a store manager that acts the same way too. Most of the employees are courteous, considerate, kind and upbeat. They want to help you ! Give the pleasant ones a raise!!

My local supermarket, and where I find everything I need. The employees there are all very helpful. The stores very clean.I buy alot of their fruits and vegetables. Their prices were always fair. Their shelves full.

I do a lot of shopping here. Anywhere from great deals to smiling customers and employees. Everyone here is awesome! They ensure they wash every cart after use and sanitize everything. Would recommend to the biggest germophobes i know

Same ole same ole groceries, employees, produce and meat as every other Food Lion. It was nicer when you could get the meat cuts and seafood from the Food Lion butcher. The produce always seems bruised and never super fresh. Some employees smile and are helpful, others complain about management right in front of customers and their coworkers. Semi clean parking lot, common/walking areas, and restrooms. All corners including inside freezers and freezer grates need immediate attention. Over all, not the best, not the worse. Could be better with effort from management to turn things around for customers and to find ways to improve their employees moral and perhaps offer employee incentives? Comment box doesn't seem to be in view of the customers any more either?...

We in the New Kent/ Charles City area have 3 Food Lions. Of the 3, this has always been my favorite. The store is very clean. The associates are great and they are always willing to go above and beyond to keep you happy. They are very willing to special order products for you. Just ask. If you need to return items, they are very willing to help. I cannot say enough about this grocery store. The prices are great. It is a smaller store. But they still offer a wide variety of selections.

I really like Food Lion they have great deals and buy one get one free are great with coupons you can't get better. They have clean restrooms and deli is good.

Lots of empty shelves. Small store. Not the cleanest I have been to. Good for a quick pickup but I will go somewhere else for groceries. It's a shame since it's the closest to where I live.

Not as big or new as other food lions. Lacks some things compared to the others , but staff is friendly and helpful. Store is clean, and normally stocked with what they do sell. Prices are average.

I usually find what I'm looking for at this Food Lion. Lately, that doesn't happen! The "home shopper" employees will almost knock you down as you reach for an item. Then proceed and empty the last two items in front of you! I was asked to "excuse me" before she went down the aisle with her 4 ft. wide cart in a 7 ft. wide aisle! Poor mgmt and direction is a problem. We have TWO Food lions in our area (less than amile apart) and not much difference between the two. I'm aware of employee shortages, but please don't scrape the bottom of the application barrell!

Management needs to not worry about sneaking out every 10 minutes for a smoke break and start cleaning the place up. Trash everywhere outside. Gross!!

Small store. Poor quality and selection of meat and seafood. Produce section keeps improving. Sometimes friendly staff, sometimes not.Not very covid compliant during the height of pandemic. Down right scary, actually.

Been trying to shop here for 3 years since moving here. RARELY are weekly specials in stock. Today I asked a manager for Coke. He said "I know they are running behind. They should be here later" The store manager is no better. I guarantee from now on I will treat this place for what it is. A 7-11. Milk and bread.
