Great staff. They put up with a lot of rude customers with grace.Food lion in general isn’t my favorite store but it’s close for short trips.They take apple or droid pay if you forgot your wallet.

Update: I get watched like I'm a criminal when I go to the self checkout! OPEN MORE REGISTERS WITH CASHIERS!!!!Tonight, 12-31-23 at 9:30pm, I went to the food lion in prince george to pick up a few items. I found 2 bottles of prosecco in the refrigerated section marked $9.99, and I put them in my cart. I went to the shelf and took another bottle. I saw the label on the shelf marked $14.99. When I was finished shopping, I went to the self checkout register and immediately asked the white cashier for a manager. I told her why, and she pointed to a black woman saying she was the manager. She told the black woman what I found, and the black woman made me take her to the wine section to explain and show her what I found. While we were walking away the white girl said "people put stuff in the wrong places." After I showed and explained to the black woman what I found, she parroted what the white girl said. I told her to honor the price that I found and the black woman refused. I took her name, shirley. I called the store to ask for the white girls name, and the woman on the phone asked "why," and I told her "I'm going to complain about her." After a long pause, the woman on the phone said Claire. I hung up. When I find items marked a certain price, that price needs to be honored and your workers failed. I expect you will remedy this issue.

Overall quite tidy and exhilarating. The aisles were kept clean and shelves were stocked unlike Hopewell food lion. I do dislike that you sell half cakes. Maybe if someone doesn’t want a whole cake, bake a smaller one? I refuse to pay for a half a cake to get crusty from the air.

this place is terrible they always mess up my online orders like i didn’t have time to go grocery shopping becuase i had to make food for a relatives funeral and the messed up my ingredients this place should be shut down

Love to shop FoodlionAlways a Wonderful place to shop!! Love the sales too!!!Food Lion Prince George, VA is a nice place to shop. Everyone is very friendly. I find a lot of items that you can not find in other grocery stores. We are so happy that they are located in our area.

Been here because it's the only store in the area. It's not a bad place... The produce goes bad QUICKLY.. there is a Deli and seafood section. Hate that they don't have self check out kiosks though.

Overall I enjoy shopping at this location. I live really close .The deli person is very rude and she not clean when cutting your meat .I expressed my issue with manager Stephen I think it is he didn't seem to care much at all either .My thoughts when you in management you should know how to do everything in a store etc.Also I understand help is hard to fine this shouldn't allow employees to be rude to customers

Didn't have many items here in Hopewell.. not like the average food lion. I guess it depends on the location... Suffolk n prince George location are good!!..

We just had the worst experience at this Food Lion's. We showed up 30 mins before closing and only picking up 10 items. They closed right at 11pm and kicked us out without letting us check out. The employees and manager was very rude about it. The whole time we were there they were rushing their work and running around the store talking about clocking out. They shut down the registers before we could even leave. They saw us come in the store. Our purchase wasn't going to take any time. Great Customer Service. I will not be returning.

Sheena front end cashier provided me with exceptional customer service!!!! She went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful shipping experience. I brought some greens, which I struggled to place in 3 bags. They were wet and hanging our the bags. Sheena kindly stopped and doubled bag them all. I really appreciate her going that extra mile for me. From now on this is my preferredFood Lion.

Usually packed after working hours, but decently stocked. Wings are good from here too of you catch them fresh. Pretty good selection of all goods, but coke products sell out very quickly! Good staff.

They are so friendly there ☺️ I went shopping today and I decided to get some corn chips. The Frito-Lay chips for $1.99. I saw the regular price of $6.19 and thought, wow what a deal. Then I looked at the price on the bag of corn chips and saw that they were actually $5.69. Food Lion upped charged the price. Come on food lion, really. The rest of the chips were cheaper then the price on the bag. This makes me wonder what else the upped charged?

It great place you found items other stores don't carry. White Alfredo sauce low sodium and carbs 😋. There carry raspberry sherbet other store don't stock raspberry but it is a hot item it some time sold out.There money order machine is always available.

My neighborhood Food Lion is just a few miles from my house, so it's always convenient. I stopped through for a few items and had no wait at checkout. They were allowing a veteran's group solicit donations outside, so that's always a plus. But quick in and out, and back home!

This Food Lion is clean, & well stocked. Good customer service. It's never really packed out with people, so it doesn't feel like your shopping in a zoo, like Walmart feels.

I love food lion. It's the only place I shop and have never had any complaints about it. Anything I need, they are always welcoming and willing to assist. Nothing but great people there. Even the guys that stock are friendly and that's a rare at a grocery store. Usually, the stockers make you feel like you're in their way but not these guys. They're the best.

I like this store better than the other ones around there! Its cleaner and the staff is very helpful. I just wish they carried more specialty foods, common ones at that. But overall it is a good store

The employees are staying strong thru this whole covid 19 situation. My previous rating was 3 stars however they have stepped up their game in customer service, keeping the store very clean, and working hard to keep what they can, stocked on the shelves. I now am giving them 5 stars and an extra GOLD star for their hard work and efforts. Thank you for your service PG Food Lion! You all have been outstanding, and on top of your game.

Great neighborhood grocery store. I remember the current manager even went out of his way to get us a Christmas goose a few years ago. I just wished all food lions had a more extensive fruit section. It’s quite boring. Otherwise no complaints at all

Terrible customer service; I would give names but the list would be to long. The fruit and vegetables are rotten after two days. The cashiers are rude and run you down to gather items for insta-cart. Stockers are also rude when you ask for directions to an item. A cashiers at the register ran over my foot trying to turn my cart so she could put the bags in it. No excuse or sorry of any kind. Did not speak the entire transition ( even though I did greet her). I have it to stars just because of convenience near my home but in customer service it’s should be .

Great prices, friendly staff. I do go to this one rather than the one in Hopewell. Would have given 5 stars but they are forever stocking at times when you'd expect the store to be at its busiest.
