This supermarket is in Powathan and has everything complete, the Pharmacy Drive Thru area is on the left and the Home & Pharmacy area is on the right. 🆘There are very good deals per season. Inside there is a viewing area and measuring lenses. It is complete and has an electronics area.The parking lot is large and when I was there there was enough space available.

Actually, one of my more favorite Walmart stores in the greater Richmond area. There is a lot more selection here, unlike the stores within the downtown area (where I frequent). The shopping experience is a lot more chill and employees are more professional here as well.It's still a Walmart, so it will never get 5 steps from me, but it did earn 4 stars with flying colors.

The Walmart in Powhatan is the cleanest and least crowded around. The floors and aisles are nice, shelves are well organized. Definitely the nicest around.

Never any help in the paint department, the electronics department , deli is a bit better, not much. You have to dodge the pickers getting their orders ready.

People who are not handicapped are always taking up the places not meant for them. Not much of a variety here and the prices keep going up,up,up. Clearance is a joke. They have Halloween stuff that's there that's only $1 less than original price. Not clearance. Not enough variety in adult clothing sizes. Parking lot is nasty. I'm ashamed of this Walmart. The ladies bathrooms are beyond nasty. Feces on the wall,the ceilings! Honestly what's wrong with people???? DISGUSTING !! I wonder what their houses look like. Good Lord help us. There is never an employee around to ask a simple question to. I'll drive 15 minutes down the street and go to the supercenter any day.

I'm talking about the Ashland Walmart .Been going for years .They basically keep the same staff and they are Awesome! There is not another Walmart that I've been too and I've been too a lot ,but none of them are even close to this One !.They are far beyond !. Someone there definitely knows how to run a good ship and the employers just act like there natural .Very impressed every time I go .Love it .

Diet root beer in cans had not been stocked in months. I spoke to supervisors at the store, and yesterday, they were back in inventory. So, I appreciate the staff listening and addressing the issue.

The store is always clean and they recently installed more self checkouts. Most of the time things are in stock and it saves you from having to run all the way to Richmond. However if you need help from any of the staff, management included, expect to be treated like you are bothering them. They are not helpful and if you have a question they just shrug and say, I dunno?

.when to return something I got for Christmas that does not work anymore was told can not take back because I don't have receipt then the associate and the front end team lead told me can not be returned called Walmart customer support Walmart sucks this store is the worst store in the area but this is Walmart good luck people

I stopped at this Walmart to pick up a few items while on a trip. The store seemed cleaner than most Walmart and parking was easier than other Walmart locations. It’s an above average Walmart, but it’s still a Walmart. Go for the convenience and prices - not for the service as there are no associates to assist you on the floor. Like most Walmart, there were long lines for the self checkout lanes.

Grocery pickup at this location is horrible. 2 weeks in a row I arrive for pickup, call the store and speak to grocery pickup associate to let them know I have arrived and pickup slot number. Wait 30 plus minutes and watch people that arrive after me get loaded and leave. Call again get told that I never checked in. This is being left up to irresponsible teenagers who could care less about people’s time or efficient customer service.

Seems like things are steady getting worse here. Went 30 Minutes after they opened, no lights were on when you first walked. Only one entrance and one exit door were working, and they were diagonal from each other. By the time I finished my shopping about forty five minutes later, the only registers that were open were two self Check out registers at the far end of the store. Not a single cashier or customer service person was in the front of the store. Seems to me they have shifted most of their focus on filling online orders and not taking care of customers in store

Decent walmart. Although, I needed some hamburger buns, there was only 1 pack left of the brand I wanted. They had 9/16/23. They were only good for 1 more day which is 9/17/23. I asked if they were going to be marked down being that other items I saw had 1 day left & were marked. The employee asked customer service and was told no they would not mark them, and also they could not sell them to me at all. I said "Cant be sold to me? why not? I'm going to eat them today & they have tomorrow's date" The employee said " We cant sell them, because they're not our product. Were not allowed to sell food items that have up to a day before on it. It's a food safety thing or something "This does not make any sense to me! But you have other items on clearance saying today's date & tomorrows date. How can you sell that stuff then if it's not allowed ??? If nothing is sold you're gonna give it to the food bank and that okay though! But It's not okay to sell them to me. Wow what a lie.Went to another walmart & saw the same buns on clearance! And other items that had 1 day left. And they could sell to me. I dont understand the management or who ever was working at the Powhatan Walmart that day but something doesnt seem right

So I would have given them a one-star rating but the people who work here are actually super friendly and super nice and super helpful. But beyond that it's just not a great walmart, and my expectations are appropriately low because it is Walmart after all. It's not always well stocked and it's pretty messy most of the time and it's one of those stores that has a high shrink problem so they stop and frisk you at the door.

The only reason this review gets a 4 instead of 5. Is simply due to the fact their is never anyone in the fishing/hunting section. Neat, clean, straight. Employees seems friendly across the board.

Overall I like Walmart. However, their inventory management leaves something to be desired. Placed an online order for a set of ear buds, which the app said was in stock with 5 available. When I went to pick them up, they did not have any in stock. These are kept in a locked cabinet that you have to have an associate get the item for you and pay in the department. Even with it being so secured, the inventory was off by 5 units. That is pretty bad from an accuracy standpoint.

This has got to be the absolute worst store across the country. 1 cashier available 95% of the time while 2 or more employees stand around watching self checkout and nobody is there. Management is and has been doing a piss poor job! Shameful that walmart can make billions in profit yet can't put enough employees out there to service their customers.

Customer service sucks. Waited almost an hour to get my pictures. I asked 3 employees for assistance and everyone single one of them said “I’ll page someone.” I had to go get a manager and explain what was going on in order to get my pictures.

Nice, clean store but they have issues keeping the shelves stocked. More employees doing shopping pickup than stocking.
