Placed an online order around mid day original pickup time was 4:20 pm then got changed to 5:30 when I arrived at 6 they told me to go to another store (one that I had just come from) went back inside then told my they haven’t even started shopping for the order idk what’s going on behind those walls but they need to figure it out

Good store and generally clean and well stocked. It would be nice if they had a better selection of Virginia beers. Also, they may want to talk with their cashiers about nit bad mouthing their company to the customers as they check out.

Fresh fruit selection is usually pretty poor. I drive extra miles to go to Publix. Powhatan needs better options.

I enjoy this food lion much better than Amelia, which is where I live. I try to visit this one over colder months but in summer I just can't do it bc the drive is too far to go with frozen items, even with using a freezer bag. They don't help but so much. Hopefully one day amelia will become better like powhatan but in the meantime keep doing what yall do powhatan!

*The employees are nice & helpful *Good about keeping things in stock *items are easy to find. *I am totally in love with the hotbar they put out everyday! I love wings and they always have at least 3 different flavors out. My favorite is the salt & vinegar flavor!

Employees have been more friendly and helpful since the remodel. Isles are smaller, produce is fresh and meat looks good. Store is clean, trucks to replenish are often late which means you need to get there early for bargains or wait. Can we say Rain Check?

Great employees. It's super nice to walk into a supermarket and have the employees recognize you. Food Lion is a big chain, but the friendly employees give it that Hometown feel! Newly renovated store. Easy location to access and great sales offered weekly.

Very friendly and helpful.. I asked the meat department to see if there were bigger turkey's than what was out..... They went right away and checked it out for me.. nice guys to do that. Checkers were great too. Also the deli lady was very helpful. Powhatan Food Lion you rock!

Clean, not crowded, no lines and no self-checkout (I hate self checkout). Had everything I wanted except a real turkey breast. Meat dept good but somewhat limited. Enjoyed our shopping.

Definitely prefer this Food Lion to Academy Road location as far as presentation. They have a better variety of most items than Walmart - bit pricey - even with discounts. And I know both meat and veg are COLD items, but please don't put them in the same bag. (Ewww!!) I really like the fact that they put your bagged groceries in your cart, but this is not consistent. On my last visit, staff started to place bags in cart then left before heaviest items were done..... Why??

Usually I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this store and employees who work there. However I bought markdown chicken drumettes that were going to go out a date on the 27th I started cooking them at 7 p.m. I'm at 26 literally 2 hours maybe 3 after I bought them. They were kept refrigerated pie live one and a half miles from the store. I bought three bags and invited my neighbors over and a couple friends. Open the bags to cook them and they did not look like I smelled them and started throwing up ask friends and neighbors to make sure it wasn't just me they started dry heaving. Absolutely unacceptable my neighbors went without dinner as did I and my friends. Normally have no problems at the store yes however is a flipping huge problem. Not sure I will ever be able to buy any sort of chicken or meat add the place I shop at daily again.

Haven't been at that location for a long time.it looks very clean and staff is always super friendly and helpful. All items are displayed very well.a lot of organic food choices.so glad they carry ukrops 'bakery items.great job,guys!

Typical large chain grocery store. They mark up products to extraodinary prices then give you a rewards card to make you think you are saving money general phsychology when in reality you could have bought whatever you bought here at Walmart and actually saved money. Overall a nice establishment with friendly employees.

Newly renovated store is awesome. Still learning the new arrangement, but staff is friendly and helpful. I really like the bakery, deli, and meat section updates and ready meals.

Amazing place to shop. I have ent shopped at a Food Lion for a long time hard ing lived in Florida for 20 years. I love this place. It's the best grocery store in my opinion. Prices are on par with Walmart on most items and MUCH cheaper than Publix. Also the place is VERY clean and well stocked with a wide selection of brands. Unlike Walmart where nothing is ever in stock and the place is filthy with glitter everywhere. I love Food Lion!

It Sucks. If i could do no stars I would. The renovations made the aisles to small and they get new cashier people every couple months cause they hate it there too. I prefer Walmart now.

This store is always clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Sometimes things you are looking for are not available, but that is most likely a supply chain issue and not the store itself.
